12 hours before South Korean troops launch Operation
As the meeting was concluded, the Chairman ordered sensitive data about him, their plans, and some of their secret operations be destroyed. Some of the loyal fools would comply, but, many of the veterans would know keeping this intelligence may save the when the South came. After the meeting, the Generals came out one by one, some video crews outside present to document this moment for the Great Leader's archives. A moment of peace, is what they wanted to call it. The Generals scoffed at that idea. It was a moment of surrender to them. As they stared at the sky, soon it would be filled with helicopters and aircrafts readying to seize their country. General Jong Ho-gyun stared, looking away as the other generals and admirals left the meeting.
As he returned to his command, he would inspect his army. His army base was near the Chinese Border. There wasn't much spared for a non-frontline unit. Having been demoted following a series of defections in the early 1990s, he was relegated to the rear command. There wasn't much fuel, only enough for a week at most. His troops were mostly conscripts, the most hardcore were all at the frontline. He had friends at the Chaho Naval Base, and the mountains nearby proved resourceful with a number of secret bunkers he had built for the Supreme Leader. With their rifles, anti-tank, anti-air, and other personal defense systems, T-62s, T-72, Chonma tanks, BMPs, and BTRs infantry fighting vehicle, he ordered his most close friends, and loyal troops to assemble that night. Moving at night, the units would leave for the far tips of the tri-border between Korea, China, and Russia. The facilities was a secret testing base that Eternal President Kim Il-Sung had built. The facilities were deep and extensive, and connected to the East Sea through a network of complex tunnels and facilities. The facilities were well built and developed, and capable to store large amounts of equipment. Prior they had been used for secret testing and receiving advanced Soviet weapons during the time of the Eternal President.
The facilities were well hidden and not known to many aside from a select few of Chairman Kim's friends and allies. Before his son could know, the heart attack that killed the Eternal President left this information hidden. Inside, a number of ballistic missiles, fuel launchers, and secure communication rooms were operational. General Jong would arrive at the facility with his small consortium of 860 men and women whom would run the facility and conduct their plans from within. With them, the equipment, a divisions worth, would be safety stored and locked. With plans to come, General Jong sat in the command room as he watched the North slowly fall as the South's troops took over.
