Exercise: Jawbreaker

All communications will on ships with done in coded messages. If we have a discussion with a fellow Argentinian ship it will be done on a secret and scrambled channel. Or if need to, our fellow comanders' will just board one another's ships. After conducting a successful refueling and replenishment exercise in the South Atlantic the Brazilian navy wants to attempt such an exercise farther away from our shores.

All ships will leave their bases at precisely 0600 hours on the 01 June, 2013. Approximately 100nm out they will begin to set up a column.

The main body will be the Ceibo-Class Replenishment Ship and the Almirante Gastao Motta-class Tanker.

The AAW (Anti-Air Warfare) Ring will be the 3 Destroyers whom will form a triangle around the main body, about 2 nmi apart at the bow, port, and starboard.

The ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Ring will have one Kilo Sub roughly 2nmi in front of the lead Destroyer and the 2nd Kilo Sub roughly 2 nmi behind the main body. Both subs will will at surface depth until ordered to dive if need be.

The Screen will be the two frigates whom will be roughly 2nmi ahead of the lead Kilo sub and 2nmi behind the 2nd Kilo sub.

Their initial route will be HI>HJ>HK>HL.

From there the ships will receive further instructions. All will travel at 18knots.

The Commander of the mission is Rear Admiral Javier Lopez. He will be commanding BRAD001. Second in Command will be Rear Admiral Jaquin Gonzalez. He will be commanding BRASUB001.

⌈ NATIONAL ECONOMICS ⌋ Billed

Rear Admiral Javier Lopez, would contact his superior, Defense Minister Oscar DeSilva directly at his office.. He calls from a direct station on an encrypted channel. In a minute the Defense Minister answers the call.

"Good evening Admiral Lopez, please tell me the progress of the mission."

"Sir, we are about 100knots away from the are where Phase Alpha will be completed. We are still in International waters. Shall we proceed to Phase Bravo or Phase Charlie?"

"I will contact our allies and I hope to get back to you in one hour," Minister DeSilva Replied.

From an encrypted phone in his office, Defense Minister DeSilva returns the call to his Admiral at sea.

"Admiral Lopez, it seems we will go with Phase Charlie. Which is I believe will be the more practical of the two. However, if we keep our entire Flotilla, it would be most like the St. Peter Base, a joint base. In which we will need to contact another nation about replacing the materiel, we may keep at the Argentinian base.

Which is, of course not a bad thing. We will consult with the Argentines first about how many ships and subs to the area. How do you feel about an extended tour abroad, Admiral?"

I will serve my country wherever and whenever it needs me, especially so close where we can strike back at the enemy."

"That is what I like to her Admiral Lopez. I will keep in touch. Out."

Admiral Lopez will give his command to the other ships via a secret and encrypted channel. "We will stay in formation and head bank right at IM towards the straights of Gibraltar. At designation point IM, BRZD001, BRZD002, BRAFR 001 and BRASUB-001 and BRASUB-002 and 1 Ceibo-Class Replenishment Ship and 1 Almirante Gastao Motta-class Tanker, will return to Brazil using the route IM>HL>HK>HJ>HI.

BRZD001 and BRAFR 001 will bank right through the straights of Gibraltar, staying in INTERNATIONAL WATERS IM>KM>KM until they reach the port of Alexandria. I, Repeat. Stay in INTERNATIONAL WATERS. But If you are confronted, BRZD001 set your 36 Hyunmoo-3C missiles for the following targets,

1.) 6 to Italian Army Headquarters in Rome,
2) 6 to the Italian Air Force Headquarters in Rome,

An announcement is made to all vessels in the Jawbreaker Flotilla, those heading back to Brazil and those off for an exercise in the mediterranean. It is from Admiral Lopez.

"Sailors and patriots of Brazil. I have just received word that members of our Diplomatic Corps have been arrested along with our Argentine allies. We will reverse course. All of our weapons will be at the ready. We have lives to save and lives to take."

He will turn off the microphone and the ask to speak to each of his subordinates of each vessel of the flotilla.

"Captain Suarez of the King Sejong the Great Destroyer - BRZD002, here are your targets,"

"36 Hyunmoo 3C cruise Missiles at Bordeaux-Mérignac Air Base. Program it immediately. Defensive measures are as always on alert.

"Captain Faihito of the King Sejong the Great Destroyer - BRZD003, here are your targets,"

"36 Hyunmoo 3C cruise Missiles at Brest, Île Longue, Toulon Naval base/HQ. Program it immediately. Defensive measures are as always on alert.

Take the following course IM>IN, once t operation point IN, i will give further instructions."

A day later Admiral Lopez announces to his crew, with the French belligerence seeming to have waned, we have been ordered to return home.

Brazilian ships BRZD001 and BRAFR 001 receive a report that Operation Amazon has been cancelled.

Admiral Lopez makes an encrypted announcement that can heard on both ships.

"My fellow countrymen and sailors. I have just received word that our mission has once again been changed. We have been ordered to return home. Yes, it is disappointing, but we are still at sea and you must keep focused and continue your daily duties with diligence as always. That is all for now."

Admiral then has his communications officer send and an encrypted message with the coordinates to the commander of the BRAFR 001. IN>IM>HL>HK>HJ>HI. He then puts the coordinates into his own ship and the two ships return to Natal, Brazil.

After several days at sea following the Route: IN>IM>HL>HK>HJ>HI the Brazilian King Sejong the Great Destroyer - BRZD002 and the Brazilian King Sejong the Great Destroyer - BRZD003 are just 10 knots from their home bases of Natal when they receive an announcement played for both ships.

"My fellow sailors and countrymen. I want to thank you on a job well done. It was an excellent mission and learning experience. For most of you, you nearly experienced your first combat. But, and this is not a warning, given the situation and hostility towards Latin America from the continent of Europe, you will get a taste of it. And probably sooner rather than later.

I will give most you one day's leave in Natal while we refuel, resupply and do some basic maintenance checks.

We then have another mission which I will disclose to you upon your return from leave. Have a good day, sailors."

An hour later the ships dock at Natal. The sailors disembark maintenance climb aboard and work on the ships as well as get refueled and resupplied for a full 45 days.
