◤Thai Rak Thai Party

◤Progressive Party
Following its split from the Thai Rak Thai Party in May 2004, the Progressive Party emerged as a distinct political entity, offering an alternative to the Democrat and Thai Rak Thai factions, each representing divergent ideologies. Led by Industry Minister Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit during its coalition with Thai Rak Thai, the party pursues a vision of humanizing free-market capitalism through progressive taxation to establish a robust social safety net.
Ideologically positioned on the center-left, the Progressive Party advocates for Social Democracy and Progressivism. Recognized for progressive policies promoting minority and LGBTQI+ rights, as well as progressive taxation reforms during its coalition with Thai Rak Thai's Thaksin second cabinet.
In present times, the Progressive Party garners support from urban middle-class professionals, public sector workers, students, activists, and environmentalists. Its stance on social issues includes strong advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, abortion access, drug decriminalization, and immigration reform. Economically, the party prioritizes universal healthcare, tuition-free education, labor law strengthening, progressive taxation for wealth redistribution, and renewable energy adoption. Internationally, it promotes diplomacy, multilateral cooperation, alongside maintaining a robust national defense.
◤National Socialist Party
The National Socialist Party (NSP) is one of the two alternative political parties in Thailand. Before the split from the Thai Rak Thai Party, the NSP had been an influential faction within the party. The NSP is considered the alternative party because of its only distinction with the Thai Rak Thai is that its democratic socialist platform is rooted in nationalist movements.
As a left leaning political party, the NSP embraces left wing nationalism as well as many markets socialist ideas. The NSP rejects neoliberal post-Cold War consensus and supranational interference. It advocates for the country to decide for itself on issues such as the economy, health and defense.
The NSP finds supports among disillusioned Thai Rak Thai supporters, thus its status as the alternative party. Its agenda encompasses social issues like abortion rights, marijuana legalization, LGBT rights, social equality, and immigration reform. Economically, it advocates for a single-payer healthcare system, free education, nationalization of vital industries, regulated markets, workers' rights, economic democracy, and union empowerment. The NSP supports Thai-centric approach to international relations.
◤Thai Liberal Socialist Party
The Thai Liberal Socialist Party (LSP) is one of the two alternative political parties in Thailand. Before the split from the Progressive Party, the majority of the LSP members were the moderate socialist from the Thai Rak Thai Party. The LSP gained the status of the alternative party to the Progressive Party because of the LSP is seen as more left leaning than the Progressive Party but not as radical as the Thai Rak Thai Party.
Based on the platform of liberal socialism, thus its name, the LSP is positioned as a centre-left to left political party on the ideological spectrum. The LSP distinct itself by opposing the abolishment of certain components of capitalism and supports something approximating a mixed economy that includes both social ownership and private property in capital goods.
The NSP finds supports among those political ideology aligns neither with the Thai Rak Thai or the Progressive Party. Sharing agendas with both parties, the NSP considers both liberty and equality as compatible with each other and mutually needed to achieve greater economic equality that is necessary to achieve greater economic liberty.
