September 19th, 2013 The Following Events Happen Across Northern Nigeria, A Final Coordinated Attack by Boko Haram. These are the Events in Chronological Order.
0200 Local Time, Kano, Nigeria.
The Kano Bar district had seen a resurrection under the prominent rise of socialism in the youth, new Secular Socialist Islam, didn't adhere to the religions strict notions of control in everyday life, here now, the youth relaxed, and as the bars closed in Kano, this night, hundreds of young Nigerians began to make their way back to their homes and flats, This new freedom was much enjoyed, and Kano had become a Cultural haven, and a place Boko Haram hated. A late model Argentine made car had been stolen just days before and packed with homemade fertilizer bombs, the driver was 47 year old man from the rural area around Kano, and old veteran of Boko Haram, now chosen for this suicide mission, so depleted were the ranks of their youth to these bars. This wave of secularism must be stopped. Boko Haram must stem the tide. The Ban of Sharia by the National Assembly must not stand.
A Shout, and the sound of car started followed by a loud explosion rocked the street, sending flames and shrapnel in every direction. Screams of both injured and their loved ones filled the streets as Police, Fire, and Ambulance Sirens filled the air, the emergency response would be rapid, but the majority of the damage had already been done, 23 Young Nigerians had been killed, and 79 were injured, several critical at the Hospital.
0700 Local Time, Potsikum, Nigiera
Potsikum had long been a stronghold of Boko Haram, but in the last year they had seen themselves forced out by locals, communists, and the police forces, driven to the rural areas they plotted their revenge and their return to control over the city. Today, their leader called the day of days, with the attack in Kano already international news, and security forces on high alert, five men inside the city would enter the Potsikum Police Headquarters and detonate explosive vests, killing themselves and causing mass damage and chaos. The entire front of the three story building would collapse, and as emergency response arrived, President Jonathan and his Military Chiefs were seen gathering in the Defense Ministry's War Room. 19 Police Officers were confirmed killed with five missing. 31 Administrative staff were also killed, along with 64 injuries, several critical.
1300 Local Time, Maiduguri, Nigeria
The Local Imam had called his followers to the Mosque in Maiduguri, his Mosque, and early embracer of the Communist Party, he had the largest following in the City, and thousands were turning out to hear him preach when local National Guardsmen from the Borno Garrison arrived in Kalakian APCs, x5 of them rushed out with AK47s as the other x24 moved to clear a path through the crowd. As they did this, two men located on the roof of a building across from the Mosque and armed with Dragunov Rifles would open fire on the Guardsmen and the Imam. Two of the national guardsmen would be hit and killed, but the other three would secure the Imam and rush him under fire to the Kalakian, as other x24 laid down suppressing fire and retreated to their APCs. One of the Kalakians would rush the building while the gun men fired their magazines into the crowd before retreating. The rest of the Guardsmen would return to base, as local emergency services rushed to the scene. The Bodies of the National Guardsmen would be recovered by Medics from the local Borno district. 2 National Guardsmen were dead, and three civilians were critically injured and at the local hospital.
2200 Local Time, Kaduna, Nigeria
President Jonathan, alongside Lt. General Buhari, issued the writs of Martial Law over the Northern Provinces from Kaduna at 2200 Local Time, at the same time units from all local National Guard Garrisons deployed in full combat force in their Armored vehicles, fully fueled, fully, armed, with spare ammunition, and support medics. Their mission was to establish full military control over the North. A 2200 Curfew was established and strictly enforced in both cities and rural areas as National Guardsmen spread their range across the populated areas. This would be done swiftly, and it was immediately followed by the arrests of all known sympathizers to Boko Haram. They were to be held for 48 hours for questioning, if found innocent they were released, if found suspicious they would be held.
President Jonathan, and Communist Party Leader Olliwaaru are expected to make a joint press statement tomorrow, but as of now, the securing of free and fair elections is high on the governments agenda.
