A continuation story of CPI Revolution
Also see Korean-Indian Operation here.

Vinban Faheit sat in his new office, contemplating his next move. He denounced the Communist rebels in Mumbai and promised to rebuild Mumbai. He had allies with the Terrorist groups in the north. He knew the government was on to him judging by the Conflict going on in the Kashmir region. He knew he would have to act fast. He made some phone calls to close allies of his to prepare for the next phase of his plan. His last phone call was to that of his secretary. He would schedule a press conference.

The camera's would pan in as news stations from across the country would be present. Vinban Faheit would be sporting his typical silk, brown, 3-piece suit, however this time on one side of his collar was a communist pin, and on the other the pin of the Government of India. He would look at the crowd, there must have been tens of thousands of people present and millions more watching from home.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, and Comrades, thank you for joining me today. India is in a state of emergency, whether or not the Government officials admit it or not. We were promised no more spending by the Government and an economic recovery plan. However the Government has used your hard earned money on more military equipment. They are still producing trucks and tanks for the Army, they just bought an Aircraft Carrier from Ukraine, which they kept secret until it's arrival! They are currently planning on purchasing planes for our depleted Air Force. The spending needs to stop now, I urge you all to put forth petitions to begin a vote of no confidence in President Sharma and his administration! I am throwing my name in for the President of India come next election in November. My actions have spoke for themselves. Even now I am organizing a FREE movement to rebuild Mumbai. My supporters are flooding to the area to assist in the relief efforts. The Army Engineers will assist in the rebuild efforts. If elected I promise to end all hostilities in the Kashmir region and let them hold a fair and free vote on whether or not they wish to remain with India. I promise the end of the insurgents causing us this hardship. I promise an end to this Financial Crisis. I am who you want to lead India. President Sharma is an old man with old ideologies. There can be no future for India with him in power. VOTE FOR ME AND TOGETHER WE CAN LIBERATE INDIA AND THRUST HER INTO THE FUTURE!"

Once more the crowd cheered for Faheit. His power base continued to grow over the past few months, however it now seemed as if all of India supported him. Faheit would return to his office and look at the latest polls, he was trending at an outstanding 82%. His plans were set in motion, now all he had to do is wait for the people of India to do their part.

Petitions from across the country flooded the Secretariat Building in New Delhi, the Parliament would have to take action. 90% of India's citizens where placing these petitions. The Parliament and Congress held an emergency session to resolve this crisis. Parliament was 50/50 on the votes and as such needed a 2/3 ruling to enact a vote of no confidence in President Sharma. While in Congress many pointed fingers at each other and argued. Many placed the sole blame on Vinban Faheit.

"YOU DID THIS!" a Congressman would shout at Faheit.
"No, you did this, you all did this. If only you would have listened to the people you claim to represent, then maybe India wouldn't be in this crisis." Faheit said with a smirk on his face, sitting back in his chair with his arms crossed.
"You arrogant bastard, you should be removed from your seat." the Congressman would chime back.
"And for what? Doing my job? Serving the people? I have done more in my one month of office than any of you have done in your entire careers. The people have spoken, they want me to lead them into a brighter India. They want me to do what none of you are capable of doing." Faheit stated.
"It was a mistake to ever let a Commie run for office. What the hell was the President thinking? He allows you to enter office and you betray him by pushing the people to vote him out." the Congressman would say.
"I didn't do anything, I simply made a speech urging the people to make the difficult choice, and they accepted. Don't worry I'll let you keep your job when I am elected President." Faheit said smugly.
"You need to learn some respect boy!" the Congressman announced.

The time ticked, and the votes from the Parliament passed. It would now be on Congress to decide if the vote should succeed and if the President would be voted out of office. After long back and forth, and unprofessional name calling. Congress would pass the vote of no confidence in President Sharma. President Sharma would be impeached, on grounds that he is unfit to be the President of India, by placing the country in an economic hardship. The final draft would be signed on 1 July, 1998. Effectively ending the Presidential term of President Sharma. Vice President Kocheril Raman Narayanan will finish President Sharma's term until November when the Presidential Elections are to be held. Faheit's approval rating hit 92% during this time.

With the impeachment of President Sharma, the Vice President, Kocheril Raman Narayanan would take office. Faheit would make his way to the Presidential Office.

"Good evening Mr. President." Faheit said walking into the office.
"Ah Congressman Faheit, just the man I was looking for, please come in, have a seat." Narayanan chimed.
"Thank you." Faheit would take a seat. "Everything worked out as expected. Nobody suspects a thing. Mumbai is rebuilt, the Indian debt is going down, and our power continues to grow. Making me your ally was your best move. The next move is to make me the Vice President, think of what we can accomplish together."
"I have many individuals I need to consider."
"Yes but none of whom have an approval rating like I do. It would be pure anarchy if you did not select me."
"Perhaps, however what are your goals?"

"My goals?" Faheit would ask and chuckle. "My goals are to make India a self reliant superpower. No longer shall any nation get in our way. My policy is India first. We are in a posistion to change the world, either for better or worse, the choice is if you make me your Vice President or not. It's the most logical choice."

"Very well Faheit I shall make my announcement first thing. You will come into office on August 1st."

My fellow Indians, today is a historic day. I will officially announce the new Vice President for India. Congressman Faheit, of Mumbai will be sworn in as the new Vice President for the Republic of India."
"Raise your right hand and repeat after me." President Narayanan said. "I, [state your name] do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm"

Faheit: "I, Vinban Faheit do swear in the name of God,"

Narayanan: "that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India"

Faheit: "that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India"

Narayanan: "as by law established and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter."

Faheit: "as by law established and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter."

"Congratulations Vice President Faheit, may India prosper."

"Thank you, President Narayanan for this opportunity. Despite the recent turmoil going on in India and around the globe, I pledge to build India up from the ashes. India has the potential to sore further than any other nation on the planet, but do to in fighting and instability, India has been left as a second world nation. No more, under President Narayanan and my leadership, we will skyrocket India into the 21st century as a world power and contender on the global stage. The Restoration Project in Mumbai was an outstanding success, and I plan to do more projects like this all across India. I could go all day speaking with the fine citizens, however I will keep this brief. My goals for the next 2 years and next 5 years if elected President in 2000. Yes I am and will run for President. My goals however are simple, I will end all hostilities within the Indian Boarders, I will end this financial crisis in India, and I pledge to you all that we will have an Indian Citizen land on the Moon. Thank you all and God Bless India." Faheit would leave with the President to discuss further business.

Election Day
New Delhi, India
November, 1998
As votes poured in from around India, a new President would be taking office. President Narayanan, of the Indian Congress Party was facing off against Vice President Faheit, of the Communist Party of India. Indian citizens had their eyes glued to their televisions, and their ears listening to their radios. Finally on the night of November 15th, 1998, India had a new President.

Newscaster: "In a close race we have a new President. With 548,379 Electoral votes for Narayanan and 550,524 Electoral votes for Faheit, please welcome our new President of India, President Faheit!"

President Faheit made his way to the podium to be sworn in and give a speech.

"I, Vinban Binji Faheit, do swear in the name of God that I will faithfully execute the office of President of India, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the law, and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of Republic of India."

"Thank you all for joining me today. I am proud to have been elected President. Despite the many controversies of my party, I do swear by God to protect and support the Indian people. As I have stated many times before I have goals and plans to uplift India from its current recession. This debt India is in has gone on for to long. With debts being owed to Sparrow Industries, mass spending on military hardware, and lack of management, I promise this will change. Spending on military hardware will continue, however at a moderate rate, so as to climb out of debt and maintain our defence. I want to focus on a better diplomatic policy, primarily with Australia, Bangladesh and Brazil. Now more than ever India needs it's citizens to stand united as a country. For to long has the political, religious, and racial divide kept Indians apart. NO MORE! I say. Together we can build a strong and unified India.

We have friends and allies around the globe, little do we know it. The Republic of Korea, has helped India in it's time of need, while many in the world made jokes and avoided us. To the Korean people Mumbai, I, and the rest of India thanks you. To the hard working citizens I thank you as well. I want the global community to know that even if they do not agree with my ideologies, I am not your enemy. I seek partnerships with my fellow leaders.

To President Narayanan, in your short time as President, you have accomplished much. My long time friend, thank you for correcting the many mistakes of your predecessor. From the limited spending, to the approval of the Mumbai restoration project, you have helped India achieve great goals in just a few short months. Running against you was one of the toughest challenges in my life. It is never easy running against a friend. I am happy that we kept this a clean and fair race. I look forward and pray for your future success.

Fellow Citizens, we are India! We can make the change and unify into the greatest nation on Earth. The road ahead will be tough. Mistakes will be made, hardship will follow, but together we can achieve greatness. I ask that every citizen does their part. I know you will all ensure I do my part. Help me in thrusting India to greatness. WE ARE INDIA!"

Newscaster: "Wow powerful words from President Faheit. What will the future hold for India."

President Faheit would walk off stage and into his new office. He would be escorted by the Home Guard.

President Faheit was eager to get started. He began drafting up bills and executive orders to revolutionarily change India. For to long has India been in a 3rd world state. He had plans to thrust India into a global competitor. First problem was the debt.

His first executive order would be to Nationalize the banks, giving the government complete control over the spending. No more could India's free market make a purchase without the direct consent of the Indian Congress and Senate. Next would be the continuous growth of military equipment and hardware. Once the debt was settled a portion of their monthly income would go to military equipment and training of new recruits. Next would be India's infrastructure projects, the Railways and roads would be modernized and new methods of transportation would be implemented. Last was the Space Project. Many countries have already begun steps in their space agencies, however India was falling behind due to debts. President Faheit would think to himself, perhaps another country would be interested in partnering to achieve a similar goal.

He began to write up his Executive Orders and pondered on India's future.
