Anti-Nationalist Club
The Anti-Nationalist Club (ANC), a civil society mass organization in the public life of the Socialist Republic of Thailand, has five million members across the country. The club actively advocates transcending national borders in the direction of international socialist solidarity, which appeals to Socialist Participatory Democracy's internationalism and vision of a stateless, classless, and moneyless communist utopia in the long run. The ANC condemns nationalism as a bourgeois and state-power movement that was used to divide the working class and obstruct the global proletarian revolution in Thai socialist theory. Their mass membership assures that Thai nationals are moving toward an open post-nationalist, cosmopolitan socialist identification accessible to greater collective liberty and common humanity than to blind national loyalty. The Anti-Nationalist Club offers a realistic platform for awareness-raising on the grounds of a World Federation of Socialist States.
Its work ranges from coordinating cultural exchange programs with other socialist nations and movements worldwide to launching education campaigns against nationalist illusions among the masses and the media. The club promotes projects showing the interdependence of the struggle against capitalism, imperialism, and all forms of oppression. Local community members participate in continuous online and offline conversations about the everyday practice of international solidarity at the grassroots level. A representation of Thailand's dynamic public life, the club gives citizens a direct platform to influence the foreign policy and the nation's humanistic, globally egalitarian view of the world. The patronage of the club defends Thailand's open border policy and international socialist solidarity. Anti-Nationalist Club is an intentional civic endeavor to build a citizenship more attentive to global working-class and universal human emancipation than national state borders.
