Subject: Appointment of Military Attaché

To whom it may concern,

Following a successful state visit to the United Kingdom, we have appointed Henry Johnson to serve as our Military Attaché.

Henry Johnson served within the Royal Marine Commando's for 14 years and has, for the last few years, served as an advisor to the Ministry of Defence. His experience through these roles and exposure to the Ministry of Defence makes him an ideal candidate to focus his commitment on strengthening the military relations between the United Kingdom and United States. We are looking to complete the re-location to the United States by the end of this month, where he will be able to begin to carry out his new role immediately.

We look forward to seeing his contribution in the working relationship between our armed forces. Please let me know if you have any questions or require any further information.

Kindest Regards,
Jason Green

OFFICE OF
THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE

TO: Jason Green, Defense Secretary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ( Jamie )
FROM: John Glass, Secretary of Defense of the United States of America

Secretary Green,

We will happily accept Mr. Johnson and whatever staff that he decided to bring with him. The Department of Defense is excited to begin a closer working relationship with the Ministry of Defense and the United Kingdom itself.

I have met with the Secretary of the Air Force. After a lengthy discussion, he has decided to assign Colonel Boyd Knox who is currently active duty in the United States Air Force. Colonel Knox has served continuously in the Air Combat Command for twenty-three years and has also served as a fighter pilot. If we are going to stick with what was discussed during the State Visit, Colonel Knox will be permitted to have a small office and small number of American staff at the Ministry of Defense, and Mr. Johnson will be permitted a small office and small number of British staff at the Pentagon. Please let me know if this is still acceptable. I have spoken with the Acting Secretary of State and he has assured me that diplomatic VISAs for Mr. Johnson and his staff have been prepared.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Very Respectfully,

John Glass
Secretary of Defense

Secretary Glass,

Thank you for the acceptance of the appointment, we look forward to seeing the progress in relations that this could influence. I can confirm an office is available for Colonel Knox and the additional staff required at the Ministry of Defence in London, we look forward to seeing the partnership that can occur as a result of these two appointments and a real step forward to further cooperation.

Kindest Regards,
Jason Green
