RATTANAKOSIN NAVAL DEPLOYMENT

Classified Information

Operation Background

Following the negotiations with the Rattanakosin Kingdom and the joint decision to establish a long-term argentine naval presence on the coast of the Andaman Sea, the Argentine Navy is preparing the deployment of the selected units, to depart as soon as the Rama naval base which will be leased by Argentina is completed and operational.

Due to the long distance, special logistics precautions will be taken to guarantee a safe transit. The units would then be deployed and have their homebase set at the new base, and be used as departure points for operations in the area, specially anti-piracy missions and merchant navy protection.

With the information regarding the completion of the "Rama" Naval Base, and authorization from the Rattanakosin Kingdom to move in, the Naval Command would order the departure of the fleet.

The units would assemble at the around 10km from the coast of Mar del Plata, and after some last checks, they would depart following the predetermined route.

All units would be fully crewded and supplied and, as mentioned, would navigate mantaining a safe distance between one another, and remain always within visual range. They would do so advancing at an fuel economic cruising speed, allowing for all units to keep the pace.

The submarines would scatter around the main group of the fleet and dive to a depth where the effects of the waves where not directly felt and therefore would allow a more smoother navigation (around 100m depth). In case of any situation, they would emerge to a depth that would allow the use of hydrophones, or at the pre-scheduled intervales for resupplying and having the generators replenished.

The journey would be organzied in a way that the resupply ships would provide the necesary fuel or supplies whenever required well before critical stages would be reached, to give enough time to avoid any potential problem.

This way, the whole group would sail eastwards towards the Rattanakosin Kingdom.

As a precaution, they would navigate with all their systems and sensors active. The crews would use the free time to conduct drills and on board training to keep readiness levels acceptable durnig the journey.

Enccrypted communications would be mantained over satellite phone with the naval HQ in Buenos Aires.

This would all be secret.

After an uneventful navigation, the fleet would enter Rattanakosin territorial waters and head directly to the "Rama" Naval Base, where it would approach and dock in an orderly fashion, following the instructions and directives from the local maritime authorities. The ships would be secured and prepared for an initial servicing and maintenance round, to replenish and repair the ships after the long journey.

The replenishment ships that had accompanied the ship, adn where scheduled to return to Argentina, would depart on the same route, after being replenished. With them, the Bulk carriers would also depart, after having unloaded all their cargoes.

The argentine aircraft would be transported into the hangars and airport area and would eb assembled and prepared for service.

All personnel would occupy their assigned role and quarters.

The Rattanakosin Kingdom would privately be informed of all this.

Secret.

Alex

Mission complete.
