The exercise would start with the division and departure of the submarine units stationed in Alexandria.

ARA Maipu and ARA Suipacha would depart in the early morning fully supplied, manned and armed northeast towards international waters. They would navigate at low-depth, eventually surfacing to snorkeling depth. They would move at a distance of around 2nm from one another, with the ARA Maipu in the lead. They would move at a moderate speed and mantain only sporadic communication with one another through underwater telephone.

The same night, with a difference of 4 hours, ARA Chacabuco and ARA San Lorenzo would depart fully supplied, manned and armed. Chacabuco would directly set course northwest at a depth of around 200m whenever but navigatin around seaground terrain. They would use the opportunity to map the area they cross, specially setting possible courses from Alexandria to the italian peninsula. As of now, it would remain in international waters.

The San Lorenzo would instead navigate the same way but north, towards the island of Cyprus. His mission was to circle the island in interational waters and, in case no foreign naval presence in the area, approach the british base on the island from a safe distance and remain undetected. Photos from periscope would be taken if possible. In case of emergency, they would be allowed to surface. After accomplishing the mission, they were to head to international waters, surface and contact submarine command in Alexandria.

The subs would navigate with their systems on, scannign the area to avoid collisions. Both ARA Chacabuco and ARA San Lorenzo would mantain complete radio silence ans stick to their mission orders.

Meanwhile, the 10th Corvette Squadron would ready to depart from port for their part of the mission, together with the Oste Class Surveillance Ship.

The same would happen for the areial units stationed and the radars on the ground.

All this would of course be secret and classified.

Operations restricted to sectors KM and JM.

Due to upcoming exercises, Exercise Mare Nostrum would be limited to the 5th Submarine squadron. All other units would stand down and return to their usual routines. All this would be secret.

The new mission orders would be relayed over private and encrypted channels at the moment of the subs rising to snorkel depth and activating their communication systems on international waters.

All 4 submarines return to base immediatly for resupply. ARA San Lorenzo would remain at Alexandria.

The new orders were as follows:

- General orders (applicable to all): Practice submarine operations adns tealth operations.

- ARA Maipu: Depart northeast, dive and enter turkish waters. Navigation at discretion of commander, considering obstacles. Conceiled operations to practice gathering and mapping further bathymetric data on the section spanning from Cyprus to the turkish coast, specially near Antalya. Authorization to enter turkish waters freely for this purpose. Perform and practice stealth operations. Complete communications silence until back to international waters for recharching batteries or case of emergency.

- ARA Suipacha: Depart north, dive and enter Egean Sea. Navigation at discretion of commander, considering obstacles. Conceiled operations to record maritime traffic, specially noting warships. Perform and practice stealth operations. Complete communications silence until back to international waters outside of the Egean Sea for recharching batteries or case of emergency.

- ARA Chacabuco: Depart northwest, navigate towards the Strait of Sicily. Dive and remain undetected and practice stealth operations. Navigating at commander's discretion taking into account obstacles. Record potential italian fleet operations in the area. Map further bathymetric data for future operations. Authorization to enter italian waters freely for this purpose. Complete communications silence until back to international waters.

All four subs would operate with their sensors and radars operational and active, paying attention to any foreign vessel and aircraft and the geographic features of the area of the exercise. Although not meant to be used, the 3 submarines carry a full compliment of Torped 62 and Type 43 torpedos.

Operations restricted to sectors KM and JM.

The ARA Maipu would continue its journey northeast at snorkel depth. About 50nm from the turkish coast it would dive into a deeper depth to avoid detection, continuisly monitoring the seabed and the maritime traffic to avoid any unwanted encounter or collision. It would begin mapping the area, noting specially potential spots where that in an engagement could be used as hiding spots. The crew would practice stealth navigation and routine deep operations. After few hours, they would silently enter turkish waters. Radio silence was mantained.

The ARA Suipacha heade north and entered after a day the Egean Sea, where it would head under water at a secure depth directly to the maritime traffic lanes in the area to record any potential warship passing by. The crew would practice this kind of operations and apply all "wartime" routines. Radio silence was mantained.

The ARA Chacabuco would still be on its wat northwest, heading directly for the Strait of Sicily, in international waters.

All this would be secret. Bathymetric data would be continuosly updated andpaid attention to.

ARA Maipu would continue mapping the coast and seabed of the southern part of Turkey at depth in order to avoid being detected and only emerging sporadically during night time to monitor the visual coast.

ARA Suipacha would continue monitoring the traffic in the Egean Sea, only noting commercial vessels at the moment, including argentine merchant ships en route to the Bosphorus Strait to the Black Sea.

ARA Chacabuco would have arrived at its area of operation in the Straif of Sicily, immediatly diving to a safe depth and carefully monitoring its surroundings. The crew would drill battle stations and stealth operations. They would begin listening to nearby operating vessels while continuing its navegation westwards. After few hours they would covertly enter italian waters.

All this would remain secret.

ARA Maipu, now well within turkish waters and diving at an safe depth, would remain undetected. They would note that the turkish navy had no real presente in thsoe waters and that no naval base were present in the area. Everything would be noted and reported for a final report onde the mission was over. Turkish naval capabilities are nonexistent at the moment, at least in the southeastern mediterranean sea.

ARA Suipacha would continue monitoring the traffic in the Egean Sea.

ARA Chacabuco would have entered italian waters by now and would be circumnavigating Sicily, updating its bathymetric charts and practicing stealth operations. No italian military vessels would be detected for the moment. Navigation would continue udetected and operating in stealth mode.

Crews would continuisly practice submerged operations and surveillance. All this would remain secret and safely navigating taking into account the surroundings of each submarine.

Considering the recent events and the detection of an sizeable italian fleet in between Sicily and Africa, the exercise would be cancelled and the ARA Suipacha and ARA Maipu immediatly ordered back to Alexandria. They would follow the same route they sued to get there and only surface when in international waters.

ARA Chacabuco and ARA San Lorenzo would have their own orders.

As soon as Maipu and Suipacha where in port, they would be replenished and resupplied.

The crews would get some hours rest and had to be ready for the case of an emergency.

All this would be done in secretly. The reports from both submarines, accounting the recent operations near Turkey and in the Egean Sea would be safely stored after debriefing the officers and commander of the ships.
