Official Statement of the Government of the Republic of Argentina Yesterday afternoon argentine air traffic controller at the Alexandria Naval Base Military Airport detected an unidentified aircraft entering argentine airspace. The aircraft failed to respond in a proper manner, following international aviation standards, provoking the need to be intercepted by the Argentine Air Force due to the danger to national security it represented. Once faced with the fact of having been intercepted, the aircraft, now identified as a french A380, was invited to land after they argued a "fuel emergency".Once on the ground, said aircraft was boarded by emergency services, which confirmed that there was no emergency at all and that the fuel tanks were about 7/8 full. The passengers and cargo of the aircraft was also confirmed to be of military nature, carrying a batallion of french military forces including their equipment, ready to be used. This was properly documented by the own french crew, who gave up passenger lists and flight manifests. As a clear violation of argentine sovereignty and worsened by the fact of the military nature of the aircraft and the potential invasion, argentine justice intervened and invited the french personnel to leave the aircraft and to be moved to a special accommodation while arrangements were made and the justice did its investigation on the matter. The french refused to cooperate. Argentina held constant communications with the french counterpart, which at all times acted hostile, racist and disrespectful, disregarding their errors. Sadly, I have to confirm now that the Republic of Argentina was victim of an armed aggression by part of the French Republic, as in the middle of negotiations for the french personnel to leave the aircraft, french personnel on board activated explosive devices and detonated the aircraft with an almost full fuel tank, killing and injury hundreds of their own people, and argentine citizens. This vile act of aggression was clearly targeted from the beginning on, and as a prove we are posting now publicly the recordings from the conversation held between argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Daniel Osvaldo, and his french counterpart, Minister Le Drian. The fact that the french minister knew that "bomb has went off" at an instant, without any indication for that, is prove of the intentions behind this whole scene. We have also managed to obtain the last words (post #23) of one of the argentine officers on board of the aircraft at the moment of the attack and the surveillance cameras of the airport at the moment of the explosion. With all these proofs of a planned and armed attack from France against Argentina, we have no other option than to formally declare the state of war between the countries, until justice is met. Thank you. |
