A private and encrypted message would be sent to the Chinese and Nigerian command with instructions and information regarding the upcoming event.

The Wargame would begin next week, once the respective ships are in Alexandria and ready. The wargame would be divided into 3 different scenarios:

1 - Submarine Warfare: Chinese-Nigerian fleet will have to hunt down 2 argentine submarines that just attacked them. They have a predefined amount of time before the submarines are considerd "escaped".

2 - Aerial Defenses: Argentine naval attack fighters will harass the Chinese-Nigerian fleet and try to score hits while fighting against countermaneuvers and attacks.

3 - Enforcement of a no-navigation area: Argentine-Chinese-Nigerian fleet to enforce a maritime exclusion area against potential hazards. Simulated irregular approaches and attacks.

All three stages will take place on international waters in sector KM on the South-East Meaditerranean Sea. Nigeria and China would be invited to make comments and suggestions for the upcoming wargame.

After receiving the private information, 2 x Type 055 destroyer and 2 x Type 052D destroyer, from stonecutter island naval base, would leave, fully fuelled and with full complement with a half armament ammo and the other half duds or simulation rounds. They would follow in line formation, with the Type 055 in front and behind him a Type 052D, and so forth, always with spacing between them to avoid collisions. They would take the route OK-OJ-NJ-MJ-LK-KL-KM and travel to the Argentinians Naval Base in Alexandria. They would be in medium alert, meaning their sonars and radars would be activly shearching for possible threats, they would also avoid traviling through national waters. A Private and Encrypted message would be sent to Argentina detailing their departure and arrival.

Having received the private information, and with the FRS Abuja and FRS Goodwill arriving for the First Poseidon Exercise, the Nigerian Crews and Officer Corp would begin preliminary preparations for the exercises, the Vessels would be cleaned and inspected multiple times, all guns would have their live ammunition transported off ship into the storage units at the Alexandria Naval Base, and dud and decoy rounds would be loaded onto both of the vessels. The crew would go over the rounds multiple times to ensure that no live ammunition remained on the either the FRS Abuja or the FRS Goodwill and dud and decoy rounds were available for the exercises.

The crews would then begin to study anti-submarine tactics and go over their various roles, they would focus on learning their own anti-submarine detection and weapon systems as well as studying anti-torpedo maneuvering. They would work with the Argentine Officers on staff at the base to enhance their knowledge as well as work out the communication kinks with their allies. They would also practice an open living situation, eating and relaxing with the Argentine sailors on base, while they waited for the exercises to officially begin.

With the arrival of the chinese and nigerian ships and crews a briefing would be held for the superior officers of each of the participating fleets. It would be held in the main auditorium of the base, which looked like a small cinema with around 150 seats, each with its own foldable table. All this would be done privately.

A powerpoint presentation would be showed, introducing the elements and objectives of the exercise and setting the timedates. The areas of operations (KM) and rules of engagement would be announced as well.

It would also be informed that all the conclusions of the event would be recorded and written into a handbooks in order to be dsitirbuted among each of the participants navies as to further improve operations of these kinds.

Stage one will commence on friday (RL) With the deployment of the 4 argentine submarines and hours later of the nigerian-chinese fleet. Special encrypted frequencies would be assigned to be used by the nigeria-chinese task force, the argentine submarines and another one for the "command" post, which would be surveilling all movements and taking note for further study. Representatives from all three navies would be asked to be appointed and to remain there.

Argentine will provide all logistical support by aerial and maritime means if necesary, or at port.

Rules of Engagement for Phase 1

I. Chinese and Nigerian ships have 5 days to track and avoid being "hit" by the argentine submarines. After the 5th day, or if 50% of the nigerian-chinese fleet are "hit", the argentine submarines will "escape" the area. China and Nigeria has to avoid this by tracking them and engaging them.

II. All usual navigation, detenction and weapon systems are available.

III. Weapon systems have to onyl use dummy or practice shells/torpedoes.

IV. All actions have to take place in sector KM, on international waters.

After arriving and resupplying at the Argentinian Base, the Chinese Small Fleet was ready to commence the exercise with their partners. They would go over various drills, and small teaching sections about anti- submarine warfare. They would be in extreme shape for the exercise and ready to put their skills to the test. Most of the weapons would be cleaned and prepared with duds and fake rounds. While the Ships systems would be prepared and ready for the coming exercise.

All Captains and High Officers on the Chinese Ships would gather via encrypted radio and talk about possible strategies and manuevers that could aid them in the exercise. They would also try and establish a communication line between China and Nigeria to be used in the exercise.

With everything set and informed to the other participants, the wargame could begin Phase I.

At exactly 0600 the three argentine submarines ARA Maipu, ARA Suipacha and ARA Chacabuco would leave the dock in the alexandria base fully crewed, supplied and with their weapons hold loaded with dummy torpedos.

The would navigate surfacing until they reached a decent depth and they would begin to prepare diving operations. Few minutes later, each of them begun to fil their balasts and dive while heading north. At a safe navigational depth they would then spread out, each navigating in a diferent direction, as they will be operating as lone wolfs". They would remain within the indicated quadrant (KM), always at a safe depth, and scanning their surroundings. They knew that the "enemy" fleet would set sail only few hours later than them and so they would begin plann how they would try stealthy intercept them applying the lessons learned in past exercises in the area.

With the exercises officially underway, the Nigerian Sailors would be mustered onto their ships and told by their high command that they were going on a joint sailing exercise with the Chinese to better integrate their communications, this was a ruse in order to ensure that the crews would not be under the assumption that they would being tracked or "hunted" by Argentine submariners. Both the FRS Abuja and FRS Goodwill would be fully outfitted with fuel, food, and water. All weapon systems would be checked again to ensure they were operating with dummy rounds used for simulations. Once all these pre sail checks were done the ships would begin the disembarking process, leaving the docks of the Naval Base and streaming towards the indicated quadrant (KM), as soon as they disembarked they would make contact with the Chinese Vessels also participating in the exercise. They would attempt to establish a joint secured communication line to ensure that communication with their ally could be simultaneous. This was done as rapidly as possible while the Ship commanders suggesting to the Chinese that they adopt a joint, loose spotting formation, the the FRS Goodwill at the front of a 4km formation, the FRS Abuja at the rear, and the Chinese vessels divided on the starboard and port sides of the formation, with the Type 052D Destroyers being nearer to the center, and the Type 55 Destroyers on the outside.

As they communicated this the majority of the crew would be at their stations, though largely at ease, the spotters would casually scan the horizons and the radar and sonar crews would watch their equipment, taking notes of all information they took in.

With the communication established between Nigerian and Chinese ships, they would follow the Nigerian suggestion, they would begin moving into formation, with spacing to avoid any collision with their allies and other Chinese ships. They would begin relaying their systems and radars information towards the Nigerian, and they would request that the Nigerian ships do the same as to construct a connected structure. The Type 055's where especially built for this kind of warfare, and their systems would be extremely valuable in the hunt. Every system and radar was being dedicated to finding the Argentinians Submarines and any sound they made, be it hull sound or even crew sound. The Type 52D's would use their H/SJD-9 hull mounted active/passive sonar, H/SJG-206 towed array sonar and ESS-1 variable depth sonar. Having these systems on both classes would give a gigantic advantage in terms of range to detect the submarines, being more effective the closer they would get.

Meanwhile all weapons systems would be ready, with duds, to prevent any issue or disaster for the three navies. The ships would also be ready to serve a long time at sea during trials and exercises.

With time having passed and the 3 captains of the argentine submarines aware that the chinese-nigeria flotilla would be looking for them they would be navigating at a depth of around 200-300m each by themselves in different directions.

They would begin applying the experience and training learned during past exercises in stealth navigation by moving at a very slow pace, in complete radio silence and with talking and operations reduced to the minimum necesary.

Only passive sensors would be in use, basicalyl "listening" to any outside noise that could be detected. The sonar operators would be paying attention and identifying everything in case it could pose a threat. No active sensor would be used as the "pinging" would give away their position.

They would continue this way, regulating speed to produce almost no mechanic noise, each heading in a different direction (North West, North East and North).

Any noise detection would immediatly be informed.

The crews would now have full up-linked communications with their Chinese allies, further they would connect their sonar and radar systems to ensure the best possible spotting of enemy vessels. The crews would now take on an advanced hunter position, with all crews intently scanning the horizons or their radars, and all anti submarine decoy weapons primed to fire. Further they would begin moving in a zig zag pattern, with the two ships on opposite points of their zags at the same time, hoping to cut their chances of taking torpedoes. They would use their sonars to search the ranges known for submarines to operate in when hunting enemy vessels, specifically between 100-800m. This wide range would limit their effectiveness, but help ensure they were a difficult target to surprise no matter the depth of their enemy.

They would inform the Chinese of their strategy, and suggest that the Chinese take a more targeted sonar approach focusing one ship on each flank to a range of 300 or 400m to help expand their detection chances. The crews would now be on edge, hoping to prove their worth to their new Confederation allies.
