The Foreign Office's Secretary for European Affairs, Stephen Holst would contact his Spanish counterpart Foreign Minister Ines Arrimidas via an encrypted line of communication.

Deputy Prime Minister Teodoro García Egea would answer the call on an encrypted and secure line from the Belgian Secretary for European Affairs and would lean back into his chair.

"Mr. Secretary, what a pleasure to be hearing from Belgium today, how can I help you?"

"I would like to discuss the possibility of economic and diplomatic cooperation between Belgium and Spain as means of improving relations and bring about a climate of economic growth in a manner that respects Spanish sovereignty and provides Spanish companies and firms with access to Belgian Markets. "

The Deputy Prime Minister listens into the call and nods his head swiftly at what the Belgian Minister was saying, Spain's relations with other European countries was at the heart of the current governments focuses.

"What do you have in thought Minister? We gratefully appreciate your governments focus in opening relations between our two countries."

"Opening up Spanish markets to Belgian companies and establishing a free trade agreement as the basis for the ethical exchange of goods between our two countries. Belgium at this point in time is more than willing to exchange foodstuffs and machinery for pharmacueticials. What are your thoughts on this, exactly?"
