The Belgian People's Army & National Guard has received authorization from the People's Temporary Administration (PTA) to begin taking measures to prepare for full scale mobilization in the event of a foreign invasion.
Through Belgium, scenes of soldiers wearing their battle fatigues, clutching their standard issue FN FAL rifles, and carrying their rucksaces as they began making their way to the two frontiers near France and Germany. All around there is over all feeling that the revolution must be defended at all costs and that as a country, Belgium must preserve its sovereign independence as a bastion of republicanism in a sea of reactionary and bourgeoise parliamentary states.
Soviets through the country have agreed to contribute labour battalions and worker militia units with the purpose of constructing defenses and handling internal security at home while the army is at the front on watch.
Though, from within there is present a sizeable minority of conservatives seeking to undo the progress of the social revolution, whose have qualms with the abolition of the monarchy and adaptation of workers self mamagement here in Belgium but that shall have to be dealt with at a later date.
