The AW101s would be sent to patrol the Northern Coasts yet again, in a last-ditch attempt to cover Portuguese waters. Morale was at an all time low, men having second thoughts on the uncertainty of the situation itself. If the find was deemed unsuccessful, they would return to Montijo Airbase for a debrief, and return to their designated bases.

The Squadron would sweep the Northern coasts. Seeing that it was about 10 am in the morning. They would be ordered to spend around two to three hours to do patrols, refueling when needed. Two hours after their initial flight, they planned to return to base. Until one of the helicopters would spot something in their radar.

"Command, this is Puma-1 Actual. I just detected a signature on the radar, permission to investigate over."

"Puma-1 Actual, this is command. Proceed with caution."

The Squadron, along with their armaments, would head on to the ship spotted on the radar. It would take around an hour to intercept the detected ship. The Fleet would also be notified, and would be made ready once again. Their armaments and radar systems activated. After the detection, it would take them 6 hours to reach the target. [IM>IN] Both the squadron and the fleet were ordered to keep a distance if it were the military ship, as defensive armaments may open fire. After contact, they would initiate negotiations and interrogations.

The fleet continued on the assigned route for the night, using the sonar and surface radars to scan for any vessels around the area, finally, in the third day of Operations, the fleet arrived at the end of their destination (IM), the Portuguese high command would be secretly notified of the fleet's presence to the south, and request permission to dock in the city of Faro to resupply and begin the second phase of the operation.

The Crew inside of the vessels sung Brazilian folk songs and played games of cards to pass the time, anxious to dock, Admiral Diego Costa da Silva keeping close encrypted contact with the Imperial Navy's High command to relay any information to the homeland.

The Brazilians would be allowed to dock at Faro, and fuel would be provided for their benefit. Portuguese soldiers would wait for their allies in the docks, assisting the usual dock personnel. A few officers would request to enter Brazil's flagship for briefing of the current situation. After given permission, they would welcome their allies and ask for the highest ranking officer if he is available for a short meeting. There, army officers would exchange current information of the enemy vessel's whereabouts, as well as the current Portuguese's plans of action to the threat.

Meanwhile, both the main fleet and the air force would have initiated contact with the enemy vessel by this time. The AW101s would have returned from their refueling, and be ordered to circle around 3 to 4 km from the target, and monitor its movement. they were armed with torpedoes, and their systems were made sure to be working. Them being free to yet again return to the nearest airbase for refueling. The Naval vessels would likewise, approach the landing ship with caution. They would stay within range for their long-range weapons systems, and the Frigate NSM José Malhoa, would attempt communication with the ship itself. First they would attempt short-range radio communication.

"Attention, this is the Portuguese Royal Navy. This military vessel of yours is trespassing Portuguese Waters. We have you surrounded. Drop your anchors and state your intentions immediately."

The Fleet's armaments would remain trained at the landing ship and were ready to pull the trigger once hostility or opposition is shown. Admiral Florencio Silva would be present at the bridge of the Frigate, and monitor the situation closely. A couple of personnel would be ordered to relay information to High Command. Current information would also be securely transmitted to their Brazilian Allies.

the AIB Rio Grande do Sul Destroyer, along with the rest of the fleet reached the docks once permission was granted, docking in the appropriate locations. once there, Admiral Diego Costa da Silva would personally participate in the meeting, he'd suggest for his fleet to join up with the Portuguese fleet currently intercepting the vessel in Portuguese waters, hoping to reinforce the vessel and prevent it from escaping.

The trip to the location (IM > IN) would take 8 hours, once the refuelling and resupplying had been successfully finished, the ships carefully exited the city's port, the Brazilian Sailors saluting to the Portuguese soldiers as the ships left the port, beginning the second phase of the Operation.

The fleet made sure to appropriately report to both the Brazilian and Portuguese High Commands on their route, as well as use their radars and sonars to detect any other suspicious activties along the region

As the Fleet arrived at their assigned location, they secretly communicate the Portuguese fleet on their arrival, the Brazilian fleet moving to the east and north of the Unknown vessel, they would stay within the range of their long-distance weapon systems, the sailors rushing to load up the weapons, the Admiral would keep a close look at the situation from the Rio Grande do Sul's Bridge.

The Brazilian Flagship would secretly communicate the Portuguese fleet and inform them that their weapons were ready and trained at the ship and would open fire at the sight of any hostility to both lusophonic fleets.

A small RHIB from NSM José Malhoa would be prepared, with personnel ready to detain the ship's captain and her personnel for accounts of trespassing Portuguese waters as well as violating international laws regarding the sea. The small boat would contain naval personnel armed to protect themselves. The RHIB would be released, but was ordered to stay put. The ship would yet again initiate contact with the lone landing ship.

"This is the Portuguese Royal Navy. We have you surrounded. We ask you to stand down and surrender yourselves and your weapons. We are sending a negotiation team for the terms of your surrender. Do not resist. Some of you will be subject to interrogation."

They would wait for a response. Ideally, the personnel within the landing ship would be detained, interrogated for their actions, and sent back to Belgium, and the ship returned with no strings attached. The bridge was intense, with men patiently waiting for a response. After a few minutes, the ship would release the boat and wait for what would happen.

The Portuguese admiral would initiate secure contact with their allied ships. showing gratitude at their arrival.

"Admiral, good to see you've joined the party."

The Brazilian Admiral would respond through a secure line, a confident grin on his face.

"Heh, We're sorry for the long wait, we had to make a stop at Faro before heading here, but I can see you have the situation under control, our weapons are ready for action, has the ship given any responses?"

Meanwhile, the sailors from the AIB Rio Grande do Sul watched closely as the small boat sailed towards the Landing vessel..a similar tense mood was present across all the ships of the fleet..ready to fire at the ship at any moment.

Upon being sited, by Portuguese and Brazillian naval personnel at sea just a few hours before the commencement of operations with members of the far left insurgents. The captain would order his crew to anchor the ship inplace and have a runner state unto the authorities in charge their intent.

"This is the crew of the Leopold, the Naval High Command has authorized a maiden voyage designed to celebrate the procurement of this ship from Sweden nearly a month or two ago."

The gig was up at last but the sailors aboard would stand by their captain to emphasize the lack of ill intent present before their opponents.

After initiating contact with the ship, The Admiral would share this information with his fellow officers and Allies. The crew of the RHIB would board the landing ship, their guns ready for any signs of opposition. The Chief officer would order a few men to search the ship for any signs of contraband. Then, he would approach the captain for further questioning.

"Sir, you and your crew have been trespassing sovereign Portuguese waters, among that, we had already contacted your authorities, but still.... We find ourselves here in the moment. While your reason of a maiden voyage is a decent one, we will still need to interrogate some of your men along with you before we'll send the entire thing back to your homeland."

He would look to the Portuguese and Brazilian ships circling around the ship. He then would look back at the crew along with his captain.

"A couple more boats along with a few helicopters would be your one-way ticket to land. They will be arriving shortly. I'm afraid sir, that you and your crew are again, guilty of trespassing Portuguese waters. All of you will be subject to Portuguese territorial law, and be detained for the crimes you have committed. Any onboard weapons will be confiscated, along with this very vessel of yours. Both of our governments will talk about this incursion, and after then we will be extraditing you and your equipment back to Belgium."

He would wait for a response from the captain. Meanwhile, the Admiral has granted the motion of sending more transports to the landing ship. Two AW101s, without any armaments, would be called into the scene, and be ordered to land on the deck of the Landing ship. Both will make trips from the Leopold to the Portuguese Frigate. One of the helicopters would contain reporters from RTP1 to document the event. 3 more RHIB's would be readied, filled with men, to commandeer the rogue ship.

Still, the ships would still be in high alert, as these men were not your typical Belgian sailors. Rumors have spread regarding it being a communist ship, but those have yet to be confirmed. The Brazilians would also be requested to send in any small transport, and use their ships as temporary holding places if possible.

Having been caught in territorial waters and sorrounded by seeming hostile forces, the crew of the Leopold was finally compromised. Taken aside for questioning by the Portuguese, the captain would retort: "Sir, I am well aware of the fact that me and the crew of this vessel are actively engaged in tresspassing through the territorial waters of Portugal. While it is our maiden voyage, me and my crew are willing to undergo questioning as is practice. "

When the subject of communism came, all traces of Marxian literature or the ship's signature red banner would be hidden away to avoid further inconvienences relating to the actual intentions of the Leopold at sea.

The landing ship, now commandeered by Portuguese sailors, would be escorted to the Port of Lisbon for further investigation, and her crew be transported to the Brazilian and Portuguese Ships for temporary detention. There they would make their way to port, as Portuguese Naval high command would see this as a success in handling the situation. No one got hurt to say the very least. The Brazilians would be secretly requested to join the Royal defense fleet in their debrief at Lisbon, along with preparations for the suggested Naval exercise that their defense ministers have been hinting about.

The Belgian Sailors would be questioned for their actions, but no torture methods were used, lest they want to face capital punishment. The sailors along with their captain would be sentenced for 2 years in corrective facilities, and be detained locally for 3 months, in account for their trespassing Portuguese waters, and be extradited to Belgium to serve their remaining sentence.

Some of the sailors however, piqued the interest of the SIS, Portugal's main agency for active intelligence gathering. Four of the sailors would be transferred to the SIS for further questioning, where the agency would try and break their adamancy through comfort tactics. These sailors would be sent back to Belgium when they would ultimately give in to sharing information. All sailors that are involved in the incursion are given utmost care and accommodation, and be treated equally as Portuguese citizens.

Back at port, the ship would be thoroughly searched for any contraband, as French sources did say something about the red flag being hoisted. Nonetheless, the Belgians would be contacted to discuss about the fate of the Leopold.

Portugal's standoff has ended.
