Foreign Minister of Brazil, Juan DeSilva would scroll through his DM's from various Brazilian Government agencies until you he found a one in red and all in caps:

URGENT: RESTORE GOOD RELATIONS WITH UK!

Juan knew that message could only be from one person; his President. So he patched a call through to the Brazilian Cyber techs and and made sure he had an encrypted phone line. and then he dialed on his speakerphone.

Hello, this is the office of Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Christopher Norris, how may I help you?

"This is Juan DeSilva, the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs. I would like to speak with MP Norris, if he is available, thank you. I can hold if need be."

With Christopher Norris currently engaged, the call was answered by a receptionist who pitched the call through to Lilly Clark, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. The call was encrypted and made private from the British side as Lilly took the phone call in her office, clearing her throat and taking a sip of water before beginning to speak to the Foreign Minister. "Good Evening, Minister. I am Lilly Clark, a Secretary of State for the British Government. Unfortunately, Mr Norris is otherwise engaged in a meeting but I am more than authorised to speak to you. How may I help you today?"

"Well, with the madness in Europe finally dying down Brazil would like to get back to prosperity. We would be curious if your government would be open starting trade routes with Brazil? We could use the first incremental step towards friendlier and normal relations.

I will send a fax to you now highlighting our top 5 exports."

1. Ethanol Fuel (85% of world production)
2. Oil Seeds (2nd in world; soybeans, non-GMO)
3. Raw Sugar (52% of world market)
4. Beef (2nd in world, 15% of market)
5. Poultry (3rd in the world)

Minister DeSilva gets back on the phone, "We would be interested in importing; cars (if they are able to be ethanol fueled),
Organic Chemicals, Mechanical Machinery, Electrical Machinery.

These could be delivered directly to the Port of Brazil.

We are also looking for investors into building ethanol fueled cars in Brazil, in which currently do not have quite the capacity to do ourselves, we still reply heavily on exports. In exchange we could build ethanol fueled plants in Brazil specifically for countries that have invested in the Brazilian auto industry.

But perhaps we can discuss that down the road once we hammer out the trade deals."

Then Minister DeSilva, stops talking, as if he is deep in thought and contemplating what he is about to say.

As an aside, I must ask, as a Secretary of State for the British Government, as a country across the channel from France, and with an ISAF member Netherlands, on the border.....I am looking for the word,

The world heard nary a word from you. Germany assaulted my embassy with no warning, France arrested members of two GA diplomatic corps.. France then later they would threaten to behead my hostages...and the world stood by.

Taiwan fired an test ICBM with a live missile over several nations in the GA and got fined 500 million dollars.

I tried to expedited the freedom of my hostages by by occupying a capital city of French Guiana, a city of less than 80,000 residents, for less than a day. All we did was control the port and the major international airport.

Once we received word that our hostages had been freed our soldiers and vehicles were gone in an hour. Cayenne, the capitol, of Guiana, is less than 80km from the Brazilian border.

Our hostages were held in France for two months.

So, Ms. Clark, does the U.K., or you yourself have any opinion on this matter. If it is your own it will be strictly in confidence. My President likes to act in big gestures, but then calms down once the nuances are explained to him. And he is perplexed as to the lack of response by any nation to simultaneous crises.

Especially potentially exploded, We offered to assist other countries out with flights from Santiago to Buenos Aries, regardless of nationality."

There was a short silence of consideration, Lilly Clark taking a sip of water whilst the Brazilian Representative offered their agendas to discuss. Clearing her throat, she begun to speak:

"The Relations between Brazil and the United Kingdom have been.. strained, to say the least. I do think the point of trade would be a good starting area. We would be happy to provide our main exports, in exchange for your Oil seeds, Raw Sugar and Poultry. This would be shared for an equivlent amount of our Cars, Organic Chemicals, Mechanical MAchinery and Electrical Machinery. Potentially on a monthly basis? Unless you have different intervals in mind?"

There was a pause whilst she then addressed the second point.

"The United Kingdom, and by extension, the Independent States Allied Forces will not engage themselves in disputes that are not really something we should have involvement in. The situation, fortunately, quietened quickly but further involvement from other countries would have only caused escalation and set a greater division between those involved. Our lack of engagement was a progressive stance to ensure it couldn't get worse than it already was. We had poor relations with yourself, and none with any other party involved."

"I understand. Thank you for the explanation. As far as trade, you can ship your Cars, Organic Chemicals, Mechanical Machinery and Electrical Machinery to the Port of Rio Monthly. Where shall we send our Oil seeds, Raw Sugar and Poultry to and at what intervals?

"If you could send them to Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, I'd also suggest the same interval of a monthly transaction. Our exports heading to you each month, vice versa, if this is something you're happy with?"

"Delighted. We shall commence with the shipping of our Oil seeds, Raw Sugar and Poultry to Portsmouth once a month and will be excited to receive your shipment of Cars, Organic Chemicals, Mechanical Machinery and Electrical Machinery at the Port of Rio monthly.

We thank you for taking our call and look forward to doing further business with you in the future."

With that the Minister cuts off the line, speed dials another line to his assistant secretary to set up the the shipments to Portsmouth, then gets out of his chair and puts on his suit jacket and tells his secretary he'll be meeting his brother for drinks at lunch at the Rio Hilton and will not be back for the rest of the day.

Lilly Clark acknowledged the call was due to end, thanking the Brazilian Delegate for their time to discuss the rebirth of relations before ending the call; perhaps the first one with the current Brazilian government on good terms. Ensuring to register the new trade route with the International Trade Organisation before she continued her normal work after the call had ended.
