Dear Secretary Glass,

I do hope this email finds you well! I'd like to begin reaching out between our two administrations as i know you had a strong past with the previous one which I'd like to continue. Firstly I'd like to thank you for your on-going support with regards to the situation with France, and I do hope your support continues.

Firstly I'd like to ask you a huge favour when it comes to the defence industry, the Canadian Armed Forces need to rebuild and with that we are asking that the United States Defense Department doesn't block any attempt by the Canadian Armed Forces to produce American pieces of equipment when producing it for either the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Air Force and/or Royal Canadian Navy.

Regards,
Billy Bradley
Minister for Foreign Affairs

Minister Bradley,

Secretary Glass asked me to send his best regards. He is unable to respond right now as he is in the United Kingdom with President Gore. I would be happy to communicate with you in the meantime.

What products is your government looking to produce? Some vehicles and systems are fully owned by private corporations. If these corporations choose to prevent a foreign government or corporation from building the products that they own, then there is simply nothing we can do to stop it as it is their intellectual property. However, the sale of certain vehicles and systems can always be negotiated.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Very Respectfully,

Stewart C. Hall
Deputy Secretary of Defense

Dear Deputy Secretary Hall,

Thank you for responding back in a timely fashion. I do understand that companies can block however we are hoping that being on good terms with the Untied States that these companies wouldn't bother, we are looking to produce the following:

- CF-18 Hornet
- CP-140 Aurora
- CH-147 Chinook
- CC-177 Globemaster III

I've also been tasked with acquiring four [4] Amphibious Assault Ships. We are looking at the Wasp Class and/or the Tarawa Class. Either a mixture of both classes or 4 of one style.

Regards,
Billy Bradley

Minister Bardley,

Thank you for reaching out to my office. Could you please expand on how many of each of those aircraft that your government would like to acquire?

Also, I have been asked to inquire what your government's interest in purchasing amphibious assault ships is interesting. What, specifically, would be the Canadian government's domestic and foreign policy goals with procuring these kinds of vessels? I think the curiosity from our side is because Canada has no overseas territories and currently lacks the vessels to escort these kinds of warships.

I look forward to hearing back from you, and I am confident that there is something that we can work out to satisfy your government.

Very Respectfully,

Stewart C. Hall

Dear Deputy Secretary Hall,

Once again thank you for the quick response, we are currently looking to produce the following numbers;

138x CF-18 Hornet
15x CP-140 Aurora
14x CH-147 Chinook
5x CC-177 Globemaster III

I have also reached out to the Procurement department of the National Defence Department, and they have stated the following to your question with regards to the acquiring of the Amphibious Assault Ships:

"The Canadian government's interest in procuring amphibious assault ships aligns with its broader domestic and foreign policy goals. While Canada does not have overseas territories, these ships would serve several strategic purposes, such as power projection, enabling the Canadian Armed Forces to support global allies across all oceans, not just the Atlantic and Pacific. This capability will enhance Canada’s global presence, aligning with its domestic and foreign policy objectives.

Additionally, Canada plans to acquire further vessels to protect these amphibious assault ships, reinforcing its commitment to power projection and maintaining a strong global presence, both for its own security and in support of its international allies.
"

I do hope this does answer your question with regards to the initial purchasing of Amphibious Assault Ships from yourselves, and I look forward to further replies from you regarding this subject.

Regards,
Billy Bradley

Minister Bardley,

At this time, the Department of Defense would be permitted to issue a Limited Production License to the Canadian government for the following aircraft and vessels. The conditions of the LPL are that the Canadian government must first transfer a lump sum payment to the United States, and the Canadian government has until the end of July to begin production of these products. The cost breakdown is $826,000,000 for the aircraft (in the designated quantities) below and $450,000,000 for four Tarawa-class amphibious assault ships. The total combined cost of these LPLs is $1,251,000,000.00.

80x CF-18 Hornet
15x CP-140 Aurora
14x CH-147 Chinook
5x CC-177 Globemaster III
x4 Tarawa-class Amphibious Assault Ships

Before we would be able to authorize further defense procurements, we will need to organize formal diplomatic talks between our governments in order to more formally normalize relations.

Dear Deputy Secretary Hall,

I must thank you for the opportunity that you are allowing us to build said equipment. The funds should have hit your account by the time you read this email. I totally understand that you wish for a formal diplomatic talk between our governments to normalize relations and ensure these relations grow stronger which shall allow us to grow stronger as allies.

With that, I'd like to organise a formal diplomatic channel between our two governments either with a conference in person or a video call, which ever suits your administration as I know the Secretary of State is due to leave office soon.

OFFICE OF
THE ACTING SECRETARY OF STATE

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE

TO: Billy Bradley, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada ( JamieA )
FROM: Charlie Price, Acting Secretary of State of the United States of America

Minister Bardley,

I have now officially assumed the title of Acting Secretary of State. I have spoken with the President, and he agrees that a fantastic first-step would be for us to request that William Stewart be allowed to continue to be the United States Ambassador to Canada. In return, we would kindly request that your new government appoint, or reappoint, an Ambassador in Washington. If this is acceptable, we could dispatch Ambassador Stewart to speak with you and any other members of the Canadian government as soon as possible. This preliminary meeting could cover some big topics, such as mutual defense, which may need to be revisited later in a bigger meeting, but I am confident that it would be productive and allow us to quickly address some matters.

Best regards,

Charlie Price
Acting Secretary of State
