On his first address to the country that elected him, the newly elected Chairman of the Trade Unions, Mark Gonzales, made a statement that would shock the nation. And possibly the world.

"Now, my people. I know this is a time for celebration, given that we're finally free from the ineffective grips of the system that made us suffer so much. But this was not made without sacrifice. And with sacrifice comes fear, instability. Instability that does nothing but risk our newfound liberty. And thus, to be put in effect immediately, I order every Chilean Embassy on foreign soil to be called back until further notice, we can't let ourselves be dragged into the growing international turmoil with problems at home," Chairman Gonzales closed his eyes briefly, as if dubtious of continuing or not. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes. "Thus, I order every foreing embassy on Santiago to be closed down within a 48 hours window. All personnel that wish so will receive free and secure passage back to their country's capital. If the embassies are not closed down within the 48 hours span, all the personnell will be placed under arrest for tresppassing of a governmental building and illegal stay on our country, followed by deportation and the forbition for them to re-enter our country once embassies are re-opened" He released a deep breath and took a sip from a nearby glass of water. That had been more difficult than expected. "This was not a decision taken lightly. Even now there's debate on the congress if this was a good decision or not. But difficult times demand difficult decisions. And if we want to weather this storm we have to take them," Taking another deep breath he let it out as his body relaxed. He hoped that the international community would understand. "I'm Mark Gonzales, Chairman of the Congress of Trade Unions of the Workers' Federation of Chile. Thanks everybody for trusting the helm to me."

Later that day, every embassy on Santiago would receive a formal letter giving the orders that Chairman Gonzales gave. And the consequences for not complying.

The French would destroy any sensitive information, whether they be paper or digital, within their embassy and consulates. They would then leave via plane back to Paris once they were certain that no sensitive information would be found by the Chileans.

After the declaration was made, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs made it a point to give a decree to the Chilean government as it packed up its diplomatic missions.

"It is with great disappointment that we must remove our embassies, as well as your own. I was looking forwards to potentially opening a neutral link to South and Latin America. I hope that you know what you are doing, and certainly hope it is not something that will result in you going down a dangerous path."

For around the first 12 hours, the diplomatic personnel of the Chilean Embassy in Santiago had sent copies of all of their electronic documentation back to the Federal Foreign Office before doing full factory resets on the computers that belonged to the Embassy. Further documentation was copied onto flashdrives, and any paper documents or information was safely stowed away in the personal luggage of the diplomatic personnel. Non-essential personnel were transferred to other diplomatic missions across the globe, whilst the mission-protection detail and the essential diplomatic personnel returned to Germany. Around 35 and a half hours after the declaration of persona non grata, the embassy in Santiago was completely abandoned, with any information that could've been recovered having been deleted or sent back to Germany.

In Germany, the diplomatic missions from Chile were granted a 48 hour time-frame to pack up and return to Chile, or face persecution from the Federal Government and, furthermore, arrest charges for trespassing on government property and potential clandestine actions against the State.

Swedish Department for Foreign Affairs condemns the reckless and thoughtless act of the Chilean Government; ultimately denying Swedish foreign nationals the right to have unrestricted, safe and professional contact with their homes.

The Singaporean diplomatic perosnnel in country would destroy any sensitive information, both digital and physical, within their embassy and consulates. Afterwards they would be exit the country via private jet sent from Singapore after ensuring all sensitive information was destroyed completely.

The Royal government would release no comments publicly or privately, for that matter.

The Swedish diplomatic mission will remain in situe for 14 days whilst those who require various services are able to access them without obstruction. This will avoid the heavy economic and ethical cost of abandoning citizens in a foreign state.

The Department for Foreign Affairs has issued a Level 3 Travel Advisory - Civilians should reconsider the need to travel as a result of the Chilean action against the Swedish diplomatic mission.

Things had not gone as expected.
Sitting on his office on the Congress Building, Chairman Gonzales silently stared message after message regarding the ongoing so-called 'Embassy Crisis.' 'Mmh,' He chuckled internally. 'The Media is so original these days.' But every trace of humor vanished as quickly as it appeared. The international backlash had not been as severe as he thought it would. Mostly countries that wanted to cooperate with the Federation expressing their disappointment at the order given by him. But he wouldn't back down. They don't understand. This is for the greater good of his people. Yes, it is.
Rubbing his face with both hands, Chairman Gonzales turned towards the small Television on one of the office's walls. On it, it was shown a live media coverage of the massive line of people practically camping outside of the Swedish embassy. Still open and working after 48 hrs. Something that begged the question.
What now?
And to be honest, he had no idea. The revolution had been costly. Who was he to demand the mothers of his country to send their sons into a senseless war? No, diplomacy was the only solution. But before that, there was something he had to do. Picking his phone, he dialed the Commander-in-chief of Carabineros.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Mario Rozas Córdova?"
"Ah, Chairman Gonzales. To what do I owe this pleasure?"
"I suppose you're aware of the ongoing situation with Sweden?"
"Indeed. We've been watching it closely since we were reported of the events. If I may ask again, Chairman. What is the purpose of this call?"
"Mr. Mario, I want you to send a GOPE platoon to guard the Embassy and work as border control until the situation is solved. I don't want traitors of our cause escaping with forged documents."
"Chairman, you know-"
"I'm perfectly aware, Mr. Mario, but this is not a suggestion," A sigh. "Please inform the men you choose to stay outside the Swedish Embassy at all costs. This situation is already extremely delicate, and we don't want a war solely out of a misplaced foot, don't we?"
"No, sir. You're right, sir."
"Remember, if they can prove they're Swedish let them through without problems. Traitors, I don't care."
"Yes, sir. What gear are we allowed to take?"
"Full combat gear. We may be taking this with caution, but I won't risk our men out there."
"Yes, sir. Anything else, sir?"
"No."
"Ok, sir. The team should be there on three hours at most."
"Good," Chairman Gonzales cut the line and leaned on his chair.
Difficult times indeed.

As promised, three and a half hours later three Hyundai H-1 stopped in front of the Swedish Embassy. At first, the people present didn't pay them much mind. But they certainly did when twenty-four heavily armed GOPE officers on full combat gear stepped out of them with tools and several kinds of construction material. After an hour of working, while being extremely careful of not stepping into the Swedish Embassy, the leader of the platoon grabbed a megaphone and spoke to the growing crowd around the Makeshift border crossing.
"By express order of the Chairman of the Trade Unions of the Workers' Federation Of Chile, Mark Gonzales. Free pass between Chilean territory and the Swedish embassy is to be regulated to only allow entry to Swedish nationals, until either the current crisis is solved, or Swedish Personnel leave the country," He turned around and spoke to the Embassy. "Embassy Personnel is still authorized to leave the premises undisturbed. But be advised, diplomatic immunity is non-existent," He turned once again towards the crowd. "Although advised against, use of lethal force has been authorized. Thank you very much, the line starts here," Shutting his megaphone off, he walked off towards the vehicles to give his report while the line began to form itself under the watchful eyes of GOPE.

The next day, Chairman Gonzales picked his phone and called the Swedish Department for Foreign Affairs

Swedish Ambassador to Chile would be immediately informed of the wasp swarm of armed personnel outside the embassy and CCTV cameras are immediately diverted to the line of queuing innocent civilians in the street, noting that the lines only reinforce his point regarding the 48 hour window being too short to process such a huge amount of holidaymakers, visitors, business trips, families and tourists. Without any further thought the IT Infrastructure team are instructed to encrypt CCTV footage under the Secure classification outlined in the Document Classification and Security Act 2013 - to further this all footage would be backed up on Swedish domestic data centres hosted by the Department for Foreign Affairs. The initial presentation of armed personnel was welcomes and provided the necessary security to ensure the smooth running of a rapid evacuation policy however it became overwhelmingly clear that the intentions of the Chilean personnel was less polite as each sentence left the salivating mouth the commanding officer.

“This is outrageous... they’re threatening to kill people outside our embassy?!” Jacob exclaims as the call from Chairman Gonzales is diverted from the central Department for Foreign Affairs to the Office of the Swedish Ambassador to Chile - the number is immediately recognised as local dial and his entire body launches forward to grab the call before it stops ringing.

Chairman Gonzales knew that the Swedish would be pissed, but this simply was too much.
"With Chairman Mark Gonzales, gentleman," He replied, stressing the word making clear that he didn't truly meant it.

“Chairman, I’m glad you have called, how can I help you?”

The Ambassador nods to his aide to indicate that his office should be vacated to allow private conversation. The Ambassador would lean back in his brown leather chair and throw his feet up onto his desk to help divert his full and undivided attention to the telephone conversation, the Ambassador was without doubt under pressure by the Swedish Department for Foreign Affairs to ensure this transition period went smoothly and without any media-worthy stories jeopardising the reputation of Swedish Affairs internationally.

Standing from his chair and turning towards the window that overlooked the Congress' garden. Chairman Gonzales paused for a few seconds before speaking.
"Well, Ambassador Jacob. I suppose that by know you know of our little security operation outside of your Embassy, right?"

“Chairman, how you define small absolutely amazes me... your men are threatening to murder civilians directly outside my embassy, how do you think that makes me look?”

Jacob rubs his head in frustration before continuing...

“The lines of people outside provides all the evidence I need, 48 hours was not long enough to evacuate Swedish nationals - were in overdrive and I get the impression you aren’t here to help!”

The Brazilians would comply with the orders, and destroy all of their computer hardrives, shred any paper and take two embassy Ford Explores to Santiago International Airport where they would then board a Brazilian TAM flight and fly back to Rio.

Gonzales separated his ear from the phone a couple seconds while stiffling his laughter with is hand. After finally calming down he replied.
"First of all, Ambassador. My men didn't threatened anyone. They simply informed them that they are fully authorized to defend themselve-" Gonzales stopped speaking because of the growing conmotion coming from his TV. Turning towards it, he saw two GOPE officers dragging a handcuffed civilian, most likely a traitor, towards a recently placed policial bus. He couldn't avoid the smile from spreading on his face. "Sorry for the sudden stop. Like i was saying, Ambassador. They simply reminded them. And for your knowledge, i do want to help so we can end this in a way in which every part involved ends up satisfied."

“With all due respect sir, we’re processing people’s lives here, they’re not just animals waiting for the slaughter house - your guards should be representing the good will of the Chilean Government. We have 14 days to get through this line before we depart for Sweden, do me a favour and instruct your men that they only need to get involved when instructed by embassy staff.”

Jacob throws his feet to the ground, leaning into his desk with oth elbows.

“Chairman we can work together or we can go down the route of global conflict. You’re new in power. Make the logical decision.”

"Ambassador, you're speaking above your weight here. This is a Chilean Border crossing on Chilean territory and manned by Chileans. My men reply to us. They may be your citizens, but as long as they abide by the law and do not harm our officers, they don't have nothing to fear," Gonzales rubbed his temple, that was not the point. "Anyway, Ambassador. That's not the point. I'm here to hear your demands and see if we can work something out of them."

“We have no demands, I thibk this is being misconstrued as a political statement. I simply want to ensure that Swedish nationals get the services they require in order to safely, efficiently and effectively leave Chile - our embassy offers a direct link to Sweden without being in Sweden itself, it is an essential function.

We respect your decision to end diplomatic missions and it’s absolutely your right to do that, we will vacate immediately after the 14 days. Unless of course you want to discuss the potential for our embassy to remain open indefinitely?”
