Subject: Diplomatic Relations
Greetings Minister Albares,
I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out in the hopes of formalising Spainish-New Zealand relations and developing our bilateral communication.
The Prime Minister has identified the need for stronger relations with Europe as a whole, and as a first step we are working to formalise relations with much of western Europe. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is eager to begin diplomatic communications with Spain. We also wish to establish an Embassy in Madrid, and encourage the Spanish government to do the same in Wellinton, New Zealand's capital.
We believe that co-operation on areas of common interest are essential. As such, we wish to open communications with Spain about trade and defence relations.
Thank you,
Hon. Phil Goff, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade
