Subject: Dimplomatic Relations
Greetings, Secretary Ryan. I hope this email finds you well.
I am contacting you in order to re-formalise relations between New Zealand, a Commonwealth nation, and the United Kingdom. New Zealand shares a long and interconnected history with the UK, from colonisation to World War 2. We wish to re-start that relationship with the establishment of High Commissions in each other's countries, and eventually with a New Zealand delegation to the United Kingdom. Furthermore, even if our geographical location couldn't be more different, New Zealanders still look up to the United Kingdom as a close friend. As such, establishing relations is a very high priority for the Ministry.
We would like to discuss topics of mutual interest, such as trade and industrial relations, if your governemnt were to agree to improved relations.
Thank you,
Hon. Phil Goff, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Commonwealth of New Zealand
