Subject: Buy of Aircraft
I am writing to request the purchase of 3 C-130J-30 aircraft, with up to 9 in future; 3 P-3C MPA aircraft, with another 3 in future; 3 UH-1 helicopters, with up to 15 in future; and 3 MH-60R ASW helicopters, with more possibly in future. These aircraft will be operated by the RNZAF, as these aircraft have been identified as being crucial for the transportation, anti-submarine and logistics capability of the RNZAF and RNZN, as well as for the defence of New Zealand as a whole.
