Dear Ms. Templeton,

I hope this email finds you well. Regarding your companies recent offer for the M2A2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, the provided specifications are quiet interesting. As we evaluate the M2A2 against other competitors, we are wondering if different models of the M2 Bradley series exist. Primarily, if the speed/engine can be modified, or if the current maximum speed is unchangeable without sacrificing armor and troop capacity. I am also hoping the British Army could share field data on the combat effectiveness of the Bradley as well as maintenance and fuel issues that may have resulted to due extreme environment conditions. Additionally, we are wondering if our military attache in the ROK Embassy in London can preview the performance of the M2A2 and other variants in service within the British Army to see how the vehicle preforms.

We look forward to opening a formal offer for supplying the ROK Army with approximately 150 M2A2 Bradleys for the first batch, and increasing this as we deem appropriate to the national defense. As we conduct final deliberations, the information provided can help us make a partial judgement on weapons systems that will provide beneficial. We look forward to your companies cooperation in this field.

Signed,
Kim Jaebeom

A follow up email would be sent to Nexus asking for an update to the previously send email by the Korean Ministry of National Defense regarding their offer to supply the ROK Army with Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

Good Evening,

I would like to confirm that the M2A2 variant is the only one that Nexus Group currently sells without the ability to customize
this further. The British Army are not currently operators of the M2A2 but as reassurance, we are aware the following forces
do have this equipment in operational service.
  • United States of America
  • Canada
With other countries seeking to procure it or are currently considering it such as yourselves.

Kind Regards,
Amy Templeton,

Dear Ms. Templeton,

I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for the updates on the previous question. We would like to ask what will come with the M2A2 Bradley that we purchase, as well as how can Korean corporations such as Daewoo and Hyundai cooperate to provide locally sourced spare parts, munitions, etc.. to ensure a stable supply line as well as quickly repair vehicles and items. We are specifically wondering on whether the M2A2 Bradley will come with advanced armor as well as the TOW anti-tank missile system.

We continue to forward to opening a formal offer for supplying the ROK Army. We hope you could provide a price for the 150 M2A2 Bradleys we would like to purchase in our first batch of orders. We are conducting the final deliberations, the information provided can help us make a partial judgement on weapons systems that will provide beneficial. We look forward to your companies cooperation in this field.

Dear Ms. Templeton,

I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for the full breakdown and facilitation of data and information. The Republic of Korea has decided to go with the Canadian Government's bid to provide the LAV III Kodiac. We wish to thank Nexus for their bid with the M2A2 and the full transparency and cooperation.

While we do no longer wish to procure the M2A2, we hope that we could instead provide Nexus an opportunity to supply the ROK Army with a Mine-Resistant-Ambush-Protect Vehicle vehicle. We hope to purchase 35 medical versions of the BAE Caiman Mine-Resistant-Ambush-Protect Vehicle. If Nexus also has alternative Mine-Resistant-Ambush-Protect Vehicle it could suggest, we would be eager to review them.

With specifics to the tender, the ROK Armed Forces seeks an MRAP that has reactive armor and is capable of withstanding large explosive detonations. Additionally, the ROK Armed Forces ask that the MRAP be equipped with a CROW or equivalent unmanned turret system for non-medical grade versions. For medical-variants, the ROK Armed Forces ask all offensive measures be removed. Seeking an MRAP with extra space with space for between 4-6 stretchers and the necessary signs to indicate it as a medical vehicle. We request all bids offer the details and specifications of their infantry fighting vehicle models as well as base and export pricing so we can factor all these listed conditions into our decision.

Signed,

Dear Ms. Templeton,

I hope this email finds you well. Following up with out previous email, the ROK Government and evaluated and hopes to move ahead to purchase 75 medical versions of the BAE Caiman Mine-Resistant-Ambush-Protect Vehicle for use in the ROK Medical Command. If Nexus also has alternative Mine-Resistant-Ambush-Protect Vehicle it could suggest, we would still be happy to review it.

Primarily we are seeking that the MRAP be fitted with extra space with space for between 4-6 stretchers and the necessary signs to indicate it as a medical vehicle.

Good Afternoon,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately the BAE Caiman has not entered production yet and we envision to
have it for sale in the coming years.

At the moment the only products sold by Nexus Defence can be located on our Catalogue .
