Champs-Elysee, Paris, Ile de France

As the night went on, the quiet of the streets were disturbed by the rumble of trucks, vehicles, and construction equipment, As well as sirens, as Place Charles de Gaulle was cleared of pedestrials and vehicles. Despite the activity, the shut down of one of Paris's busiest intersections lead it almost to be more quiet than normal, at least for a while. Once everything was in place, however, everything came to life, as many different things happened at once: It was the end for the Arc de Triomphe.

The Remains in the WWI Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were respectfully exhumed, to be re-interred at the memorial that would replace it. As well, the Statue of a WWI Soldier was removed in order to be placed on the grounds of the Louvre. Once these pieces which were considered consonant with the values of the Kingdom were removed, the crew would begin the work of demolishing the Arc De Triomphe, piece by piece. sculpted roses in the ceiling would be carefully careved out to be used in the replacement memorial, while the sculptures, reliefs, and engravings commemorating the revolution would see no such care. Any utilities hookups would also be carefully removed as quickly as possible

Overall, as the primary concerns were merely to protect the surrounding infrastructure, it would not take long for this monument to be demolished.

Plans were announced for the replacement of the monument with one that would memorialize those who the revolution had martyred, and the men and women of France that had actually dedicated and sacrificed their lives for the common good.
