The egyptian ground forces would begin the course by conducting field drills, that includes marching during day and night conditions in desert and arid environments near their respective bases.

They would condcut these marches with their full combat equipment, carrying several kg of equipment in order to try emulate real conditions. They would march for several kilometers and stop to rest. Eventually, the instructors and officers would order them to take certain positions or to carry out basic maneuvers.

The aim of this would be to familiarize the troops with the common egyptian arid conditions and to give them an advantage at the moment of confronting with troops not used to operate in hot and arid scenarios.

All troops would do this.

The ground troops would continue their adaptation training, now with extreme survival practice. They would be ordered to march in groups into rural and desert areas, with minimal supplies and instructed to survive for several days, while completing a checklist of objectives (that would include day/night maneuvering). The goal of this part of the training was to improve their survival and operational abilities under extremen arid conditions. Survival specialist would be giving "pre-mission" classes and demonstrations for the troops.

Rescue and support units would be ready for cases were medical or emergency evacuations were required.

All troops would carry out the present stage.

With the harshest parts of the survival and acclimatation program done, the units would move on to practice activities and operations more closely related to their roles, such as tank crews and APC/IFC teams operating with their vehicles, infantry split up in platoons and squads and conduct field maneuvers, engineering and medical units practice under simualted "combat" or operational conditions etc.

The different units would set out fully prepared, fueled and supplied and conduct basic routine operations correspondent to their roles and duties under the traditional egyptian climate and environmental conditions of desert and arid land. They would mobilize trhough urban and rural areas, over roads and cross-country (including dunes and desert parts).

All troops would carry out the present stage.

The field maneuvers would continue. The troops would continue conducting routine operates related to their specializations on egyptian terrain. They would get a good notion of the geography surrounding their headquarters and the territories they have jurisdiction to operate on. Most of these areas would be either arid desertic lands, urban sectors or the lush farmland near the banks of the nile river.

They would do these routine operations both on day and night time, enduring big temperature drops and rises.

They would also have special practices on weapon and equipment maintenance, to optimize their operational effectiveness in dusty and arid conditions, as well as in the more humid regions near the nile.

All troops would carry out the present stage.

After several days of operations on desert and arid areas of the egyptian country side and in urban surroundings, the egyptian ground forces troops would have acquired experience in dealing with the environmental factors and obstacles they could encounter when operating in real scenarios.
Troops would have gotten used to the high temperatures and dry climate, as well as the dusty air and harsh temperature differences during the night. They would have acquired survival skills in such environment as well as acquire a routine-level practice of their respective fields of specialization on such terrains.
With the exercise over and all troops having acquired said experience and practice in camouflage and cover, mobility and how to deal with water scarcity they would be awarded with badges indicating that the troops were now proficient in Desert Warfare I.
All involved troops would return to their usual routines.
Exercise complete.
