Anti–Democratic Sentiment Still as Strong as Ever

While Germany has officially been reconvened and re-designated by the federal government as a free, democratic state, where the voices of the people can be made abundantly clear, according to some, the federal government has still not taken the lessons it has learned in the last decade to heart, and has ultimately set itself up for inevitable collapse, or worse. People across the country have recently held protests or even riots in regard to the shift in government back to a federal republic, and the reasons are varied, but one thing is certain: federalist ideas are dying. The people either want the Länder to become fully independent, autonomous Germanic states or to unify into one state.

While no official comment was made by Chancellor Merkel on growing anti–federalist, anti–democratic sentiment, President Joachim Gauck has come out with a statement to the press, much to the apparent displeasure of the Bundestag's more left–leaning parties or the Union Party.

joachim-gauck--10219950-.jpg

President Joachim Gauck was elected by an absolute majority in the hopes that he would curb increasingly–liberal thinking in the Bundestag and in the Federal Government.

"It is difficult to say this, especially since I love democracy...but the age of democracy is over. The German people have had the opportunity to see the ideals and societies something outside of the status–quo of a democratic society, and they are eating it up like candy. What upsets me more is that Angela Merkel, her Cabinet, and the left–leaning, Christian Democratic parties of the Bundestag refuse to take into account the fact that times are changing. We are seeing new political opposition to the Union Parties of CDU and CSU, and we are seeing the desperate cries of help from a government that refuses to accept its own faults, and would instead prefer the status–quo over change that the people want. People wanted a stronger military presence and a stronger government, and the recent rise of Reich movements, in particular the popularity of the NPD and other national movements, have proven that the people are tired of bureaucracy. I believe that a change in government is going to come, and it is either going to come violently or through a shift in power within the Bundestag & Bundesrat. The Länder elections are already showing this, with SPD and AfD dominating in Landtag polls across northern Germany. In Southern Germany, monarchists & nationalist conservatives are dominating. We are seeing the end of a republic, and as much as I hate to say it, good riddance to ineffective governance. I would rather a stronger Chancellor come into power than watch Berlin go up in smoke as the flag of the Third Reich or a Communist regime rises above the Bundestag."

When asked more on the matter, the President stated that he had said enough, and that he hoped the best for Germany in the upcoming 2013 Federal Elections. His views are not wrong either, as many members in the government would have you believe. In Bavaria, a new political party has risen to advocate for recognized Bavarian sovereignty and autonomy. In Hamburg, the NPD and AfD have butted heads with one–another in parliamentary debate, and in Berlin, members of the monarchist organization Tradition und Leben — including Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia — have claimed to be heading an attempt to give those who support a hereditary, parliamentary monarchy what they want in the form of their new political party: Hohenzollernpartei des Deutschen Reiches; the party, backed by Tradition und Leben and led by Prince Georg, is currently undergoing registry with the Bundestag.

To state that democracy is failing is an understatement with current German politics. From new Nationalists in Germany's southern states, to monarchists in Bavaria and Berlin, it is a clear message that Angela Merkel is content to ignore until the bitter end: German pride is on the rise again, and the way that the federal government is currently treating its citizens puts it at odds with them. Whether a violent revolution or a non-violent shift of power in the Bundestag will occur is all up to the German people, and how the government reacts to it could tear apart the German state once and for all if they do not play their cards carefully.

"Hail German nation! Hail German national pride!" As some houndreds of Serbian military members have held German marches, singing German imperial marches and marches of third Reich full of enthusiasm, in german uniforms and flags. Marches would go viral on SerbVideo(Serbian version of Youtube) and would find much of support from Serbian populace.

Altought this was havily criticized by anti-governmen govenrment movements especially by Movement of individual awaking which has 30% of support in the country and is most vigirious anti-government movement in Serbia, they called government of being "pro-facist" and crticized of being christian hypocrite as such.

Nonetheless King Alexander commented on the Television saying that "we dont support killing of civilians and facist wars, but we support national pride and unity, one of the strongest things thats move individual soul, that is what we celebrate when we sign songs of Third Reich. Butthurt liberals can go and be angry as much as they want."

King Alexander has also expressed his full hearthed support for German moarchists.

Joachim Gauck Found Dead, Foul Play Suspected, Sexism Against Women of Power?

Today, on the 6th of July, President Joachim Gauck was found dead in his office by his personal aide. The nation, privy to this horrific event, is now in grief over the death of their President, their representative. However, not all is as it seems. According to investigations, foul play on the part of members of CDU/CSU or SPD is suspected. Gauck had been planning to put forwards a bill that could have placed a consecutive term limit on the office of Chancellor. While not explicitly thought to be the fault of Angela Merkel, many of her opponents in in government seem to think so. Wolfgang Shröder, secondary party leader for the NPD, had this to say on the matter.

Wolfgang Shröder, former member of the modern NSDAP & current secondary party leader to the NPD

"The death of President Gauck was a tragic affair, but I do not believe that Angela Merkel herself was responsible for Gauck's death. She may be vindictive and can be unnecessarily hateful of criticism or scrutiny towards her multiculturalism policies, but I believe she is more the passive–aggressive kind of woman that makes you glad that you are either unmarried or afraid to go against her in parliament."

The statement from Shröder has been agreed upon by much of Merkel's opposition. The Chancellor herself has called the statements "derogatory & offensive." She went on to further state that she expected nothing more or less from a former Nazi, let alone those who would attempt to usurp the democratic processes of the Bundestag. This has sparked much debate in the 16 Lander, where many German citizens are speaking out against these new political parties for so–called sexism. Whether this is the case or not is beyond us here at DPA, but if anything is for certain, it is that words can be twisted and shown to the betterment of one side or the other. We here at DPA never support sexism, but we also don't support suppression of free speech and lying to one–another over the media like that of the United States' news agencies. It is up to you to decide: is there sexism against women of power here in Germany? Was Angela Merkel or another of President Gauck's opponents responsible for his death? Who will be the next President of the German Republic?

Turkey Opens Fire on Peaceful Protest, Germans Abroad in Turkey to Return Home

Earlier this evening, it was found that the Turkish Government, in direct violation of Universal Human Rights as set in precedence by the Global Assembly, had opened fire on Turkish civilians that were peacefully protesting against the government in Istanbul. Considering the aggressive policies against Turkish citizens, who had the right to peacefully protest and assemble in the city, the German government has called for an immediate recall of all diplomatic personnel within Turkish borders, and for German citizens to return home.

Image of Turkish civilians being taken off to hospitals after the shooting. The image has circulated across the internet as an example of the current Turkish Government's tyranny and lack of human decency.

Upon further investigation, members of parliament have called for debate to be brought up regarding what actions should be taken in regards to Turkey for the next sitting of the Bundestag. Whether such debates will make it to the plenary floor are up to debate themselves. However, what is certain is that, for the moment, Turkey could be considered tyrannical in light of its recent crimes against humanity, and it is now a question of when someone will call for their President to be brought to justice for his crimes.

Surprise Federal Convention Results, the Beginning of the End & Rebirth of German Democracy?

Earlier today, the Federal Convention finally elected a successor to the late Joachim Gauck. Now, while many believed that SPD candidate Frank-Walter Steinmeier would come out on top, what surprised the German public was the fact that so many candidates were nominated by different parties. while SPD and FDP endorsed Steinmeier as their nominee, CDU put their own against the SPD in a bid to control the German government further. Furthermore, much to the surprise of many, members of AfD were split on who to endorse. While one side endorsed the now–incumbent Celina Kästner of HPDR, another side endorsed the AfD's own candidate along with the Greens. Other candidates, like Philipp Graf Lerchenfeld of the KPD, were endorsed by the Left Party and by the KPD themselves. NPD also threw their hat into the ring with former member of the NSDAP, Wolfgang Shröder.

With so many candidates in the election, it would come down rather close for the winning candidate from HPDR, who won only by a slim 2 percent majority. What does this mean for Merkel's Cabinet? Or the German democracy as a whole? It means that this is the beginning of the end of the current status quo. As stated in a previous article regarding the death and, new political parties and influences are cropping up. From nationalist, to socialist, to conservative or liberal, the political identity of Germany is in grand state of change, which means that a shift in governance will soon follow. The democratic Germany that has been known since the Cold War is about to end, and a new Germany will be arising from its ashes to take its place. Hopefully this colloquially–referred "5th Reich" will not be a successor like the 4th Reich Era: multiple, authoritarian dictatorships with little to no democratic say.

Whether this will be the finality of German democracy is uncertain, but with the new President, all that can be said is that we are now in the end–game of the 4th Reich Era, and by extension, the Cold War Democracy.

The results of the Federal Election would be in. As soon as the election concluded, DPA would already be on sharing the results of the election with the rest of the world. While no official Grand Coalition had been picked yet, it was already obvious that the HPDR was going to use FBP as a sister party, similar to how CDU & CSU operate, and AfD/SPD would be the other members of a grand coalition. Elections for the Federal Chancellor are underway, and, for the moment, SPD Leader Andrea Nahles could be the next most powerful woman in the democratic world.
18th Bundestag Election Results

Meteor Explodes Over Ingolstadt: Hundreds of Thousands Dead or Injured

While the city of Ingolstadt slept, as survivors of the incident recall, "God has thrown a stone." That's right. At approximately 7:58 in the evening, the skies above Ingolstadt lit up brilliantly as a meteor entered the Earth's atmosphere, and detonated around 25 kilometers above the city. As emergency personnel arrived on-scene to areas where fires had started, they were in shock to see many buildings crumbling around survivors.

"It was a travesty," said one officer to a local journalist, "It was, like, bang, and the entire building shook...it was loud enough that I didn't want to be closer...and when we were called out, we couldn't imagine the devastation as anything less...had we been attacked? Did some disgruntled man or woman detonate a bomb?"

According to observers of the Munich Observatory, Ingolstadt has basically been nuked by a foreign object knocked loose from the asteroid belt. When questioned further, they stated that the object moved at such a speed that it was almost impossible to detect, and that we were lucky that it exploded so high up. That being said, the city of Ingolstadt, with many of its churches, museums, & homes, have either been turned to rubble or severely damaged and in need of immediate demolishing or repairs.

"How much is this going to cost?" one of our analysts asked Bavarian Minister-President Günther Beckstein. The answer, while uncertain as of the moment, has economists estimating a multi-billion dollar expenditure to demolish & repair buildings that are in desperate need of it. The general estimate is around 11-12 billion German Marks, which equates to around 6-7 billion in American dollars.

"Such a project," the Minister-President would say, "Would cost much of the German economy to fix without assistance. At this juncture, it'd be better to hire another country to attempt to break Germany out of this mess than it would to be to attempt to do it ourselves."

Prince Friedrich of Prussia Proposes New Constitution to Replace Grundgesetz

While it is no secret that many local parliamentary groups have advocated to changes to the Basic Law of Germany, in particular fascistic & communistic groups with grand ambitions, it is a new idea entirely to the German government that a federal parliamentary group has advocated for an absolute abolishment & replacement of the time-honored Grundgesetz. Since 1949, the Grundgesetz has served as federal law for the Federal Republic of Germany & as the cornerstone for freedom & unity within the state. However, with the political identity crises that have overtaken Germany over the past decade, HPDR leader Georg Friedrich has called forth to members of Bundestag to take a close look and revise the Grundgesetz, and his suggestion has not fallen on deaf ears. Right-wing populist party Alternative für Deutschland, monarchist party Hohenzollernpartei des Deutsches Reich, and even the neo-Nazi party Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands of the Opposition have called forth for such a revision. State parliaments have followed their example as well, and have, for the most part, agreed with Prince Friedrich on revision of the Grundgesetz.

Georg Friedrich, Prince of Prussia & leader of the Hohenzollernpartei des Deutches Reich & Constitutional Advocator

"I have seen the ineffectiveness of the German government first–hand," he told journalists when asked in an interview, "The Federal Republic's government has proven ineffective at curbing nationalism & fascism, and this was proven in recent decades. It is my belief that they feel that they are truly underrepresented, and with the meteor in Ingolstadt and many members' quietness on the matter, this could prove to be the final straw that — how do you say — 'breaks the camel's back'. It is this reason why I believe that a new constitution is needed for all of Germany to decide upon."

After the interview, Prince Friedrich gave Germany an open proposition in the hopes that it would cool heads: let us all design a Constitution together. Calling forth party representatives in the Bundestag, the President, the Chancellor, & representatives of each of the 16 federal states would convene into a Constitutional Convention and design the new Constitution. The Prince has stated that he hopes this will bring Germany closer together, rather than become divided among political extremes and ambitions of grandeur. Whether this will work or not has yet to be seen.

Plans to Restore Ingolstadt Underway

In Bavaria, people mourn the loss of life in Ingolstadt, and those who currently reside without homes. Across Germany, donations have been given to those in need of a place to go, and talks of Federal involvement have hit the ears of the public. However, Bavaria has already had a four-stage plan in place to keep the costs of rebuilding as cheap as possible. The first stage is the mass relocation of Ingolstadt residents to other cities & homeless shelters across the Bavarian state. The second stage is the demolition and demolishment of buildings that are too damaged to be repaired. The third stage is the repairing of structures that can be repaired after such devastation in various sections. And the fourth stage is the reconstruction of the city in various sections.

dd7e12d4d5a5fca40e6120ac5cc0db05.jpg

The destruction of Berlin in World War 2, eerily similar to the state that Ingolstadt finds itself in now.

When questioned on what he believed should be done, Günther Beckstein quoted the plan as being, "the cheapest option that could be mustered by Bavaria at this moment in time". Whether this is true or not is yet to be seen, though the first stage has already begun, with hundreds of tens of thousands of US dollars poured into relocation efforts by both the state and Federal government.

Canadian Nationalism Concerns German Citizens of National Uprisings

In other news, the election of the Canadian Nationalists' Party has brought concerns back to the Germans' own Nationalist Uprisings, and with the NPD now substantially more powerful with its presence in the Bundestag and in local parliaments, the public's opinion on nationalism is beginning to shift once again back to one of nationalism being a vice that can make Germany violent.

"Well, as we all know...it was German nationalism that started World War 2, and the Battle of Europe...I'd rather not see my home bombed anymore than it has been in history," one citizen stated.

"The NPD are the modern NSDAP. Their leader was part of the modern NSDAP...what more reason is there to worry about German nationalism?" another questioned our interviewer.

"I'm not too concerned with nationalism. I'm actually proud that we're this close to having a political identity again...what scares me is the ultra–nationalism that corrupts both the NPD and the Communists. While the Communists only hold local power here in Mecklenberg, the NPD has power and influence at the Federal Level. For the first time since WWII, an ultra–nationalist party has been voted in...that's what scares me most."

While the main consensus is that German nationalism on the rise again has worried many citizens, there are those who are all too proud to display signs of their heritages from the 2nd & Third Reichs.

"We have been Communists, we have been Fascists, we have been democrats, we have been monarchists...I think our heritage should be celebrated," one citizen told our reporters.
"Why do you believe that?"
"Well...it's our heritage. Instead of fearing it, we should accept it and be able to move on with our lives, despite the suffering."

"Our lives under the Federal Republic have been in constant turmoil as groups attempt to find our identity for us. I'm perfectly content with whatever comes next, because hopefully it will be the last one."

"Well...decades of stifling our pride & telling us that we've been naughty will do that to us...it will bring more nationalistic sentiment as we attempt to find our place without going too far. I think it's fine. We've already made sure that we will never forget. Let's rebuild and learn."

1st Reichstag Begins Debates on Immigration, Censorship Laws, & the Military

Since the coronation of Kaiser Friedrich IV, the German Government has been hard at work in making the transition from democratic federal republic to constitutional monarchy as simple and easy as possible. However, as the saying goes, "the more things change, the more they stay the same". And now, the 1st Reichstag has hit its first roadblocks in its attempts to transition into the new age. Debates on immigration and the military will take center–stage in the Reichstag's first official debates since the Kaiser's coronation this upcoming January, as all sides of parliament have differing opinions on what should be done with both.

While the "Luxembourg Coalition" tends to agree that a stronger, stricter military body would be far more capable than the former Bundeswehr, there are those both in the Coalition and as part of the Opposition that tend to agree that a strong military body may attract the unwanted attention of the international community at large, the ISAF in particular. However, as the Minister of Defense has observed, "The German military has been in serious need of revival since the end of the 2nd World War. The Bundeswehr was good for what it was designed for at the time, but now, Germany needs a standing army more than ever if it is to remain relevant in European politics."

Soldiers of the 'Heeres des Bundeswehr' pose in front of the SPz Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicle. While the vehicle itself is decent, the soldiers in front of it had basic training only for 3 weeks, according to the Minister of Defense.

Immigration & Citizenship Rights have similarly divided the parliament, and ultimately, the decision to continue to accept immigrants more freely than what would otherwise be welcome is a hot topic to debate upon, given the strong opinions of progressives & conservatives. In relation to the debates in the Reichstag, earlier this week, a woman in the Berlin area was assaulted for her belief in immigration. The woman who assaulted her, Juliane Landgraff, is now serving time behind bars for what local authorities deemed to be an unprovoked assault.

Another equally–important, yet less–pressing issue for debate is that of censorship laws in Germany, and how they affect the rights of every German citizen to freely speak their mind, criticize establishments and institutions, and assemble peacefully. The issue, while less hot to talk about, is certainly stirring up controversy with the advent of the National Democratic Party's presence in the Reichstag, whose leaders have called for censorship of the press in order to effectively retain a stable regime, at least for a few months. While the idea has been condoned as a violation of the Constitution, it will likely be a source of flared tempers during the debate next month.

Harsh Winter Weather Closes the Autobahn

The Autobahn, one of Europe's most–used and most unrestricted highway systems, has been closed due to the dangerous weather that Germany is experiencing. As Christmas fast approaches, along with the the holiday rushes that follow, German transportation networks, including the northern and central Autobahn, have either been closed or are in the process of being closed due to the dangers that are being presented due to weather. In the north, roads have frozen over, leading to an increase in accidents over the past few weeks as work is tirelessly done to ensure the roads are properly salted.

Furthermore, with the closure of the Autobahn, both local and international flights have been delayed due to the weather as well. They have typically been delayed under the pretenses of strong winds running the risk of tipping over aircraft or causing massive turbulence in–flight, and while flights should be returning to normal, it is not recommended to travel during this season due to the bad weather.

Bank Scandal Costs Customers Millions-Worth in Investments: Deutsches Bank Faces Coming Lawsuits and Bankruptcy with Apologies

In a day and age when profit can be gained via investment into stocks and bonds or in federal banks, there is little to be concerned about when things go right. However, when white-collar criminals decide to make easy money off of fraud and manipulation, it becomes an entirely different picture. Such was the case when authorities looked into a recent case of a scandal regarding the Deutsche Bank, where former bank CEO, Claus Hugo-Strandberg, made off quickly and quietly with close to three–quarters of US$ 1 billion in investments made by the German public earlier this week.

Claus Hugo Strandberg, the mastermind behind the theft of over US$700 million in investments made over the course of 12 years.

Mr. Strandberg was described as being a decisive force in much of the bank's investments, and reports now state that, because of the theft, the investment bank is now facing lawsuits for negligence and bankruptcy in the wake of his disappearance. According to the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Paul Achleitner, "The [German] Bank is under intense scrutiny by authorities for the theft orchestrated by Mr. Strandberg. I don't think we will be able to recover easily enough, given that most of our investments were not actual profit for the past 12 years or so, but I certainly hope that Strandberg will not escape cleanly from the ordeal."

Strandberg's theft was due mainly due to the ignorance of young investors putting their money into a classic Ponzi Scheme. A Ponzi Scheme, in the simplest terms, is where the mastermind tricks potential customers into making large investments with the "supposed" ability to increase the profit by a large margin with little to no risk to the customer, only to pocket a significant sum of the money afterwards. Furthermore, he must be able to find other investors to pay back the first investors. "It's a miracle he got away with the scheme for as long as he did," [Paul] Achleitner said in regards to how he got away with it, "Strandberg's plan should have collapsed in only a few years, but he managed to rob us blind and put young investors into crippling debt. I remember Strandberg fondly, but I will certainly say that I always felt something was off about him."

Where is Strandberg now? In hiding. He has gone underground, and has not yet resurfaced, and the Federal Police have not been able to trace him to anywhere as of the moment. As a lesson to be taken, make your investments wisely, or you may end up in the clutches of a white-collar charlatan.

Riots in Tokyo Spark Controversy with German Suspects Apprehended by Japanese Authorities

Earlier this February, Tokyo suffered a major riot at the hands of anti-communist and anti-socialist protesters — one of the worst since the Koza Riot of 1970 — after police were deployed to disperse the protesters. While it is unclear who started the conflict, the riot resulted in one of the largest riot-based arrests in Japanese history, with reports stating over 1000 arrests being made.

However, while the riots in Tokyo would normally not be of major concern to the German people, it is two individuals who were arrested during the riot that have many disgruntled.

download-2-jpeg.517

Protesters of communism and socialism in Tokyo on the day of the riot.

"It is a tragedy," a local businessman in Berlin told DPA journalists, "But it's our responsibility to deal with German criminals, not theirs. I would rather see a fair trial in the eyes of the Kaiser than allow a communist government to unfairly try and imprison two people, who could be innocent."

"It's their nation. Let them send people who commit crimes there to trial," another Berlin local stated.

"The only good communist is a dead one! I wouldn't let them try these two, because they're bigoted and biased!" a Hamburg resident told us with vehemence and malice for the Japanese.

"I cannot speak for everyone in my community, but I would rather not talk about those two and their connection to us unless there's some solid proof that they are German. I say 'innocent until proven guilty'," a 72 year-old resident of a Brandenburg community testified.

The Federal Government, upon learning of the two arrests that stood out, immediately called suspicion and, according to Foreign Minister Karsten Jürke, they are awaiting response from their Japanese counterpart.

The Armed Forces Disband: Federal Government Makes Statements on the Former Military Body

After the last two debate sessions in the Reichstag, the government finally agreed to the disbandment of the long-standing Bundeswehr after concerns were raised on the effectiveness and combat readiness of both its troops and its equipment. The Federal Minister of Defence, upon being questioned on the decision, gave this answer to DPA.

Karsten Jürke, Federal Minister of Defence

"Admittedly, it was his [the Kaiser's] desire to disband the Bundeswehr. While I thought that it could simply be remade, he wanted it entirely disbanded and started from scratch. After the Reichstag chastised him for such a reckless decision, they were finally convinced to allow the Kaiser to call for the Bundeswehr's disbandment after Chancellor Nahles gave her confidence in him. The nature of the Bundeswehr was the defence of the nation, but given the deplorable state of the troops and equipment, I couldn't say that we were combat-ready with a straight face. We've known it for years here in Berlin, but it was the generals, the men who actually led it, that knew it first-hand." — on the reason for the Bundeswehr's disbandment

"I recall a story on how the Army didn't have machineguns for our Leopard 2 tank fleet at one point, and instead of simply not having any, the soldiers who were supposed to maintain and take good care of our million-dollar investments simply put broomsticks painted black in the gun ports and hoped that their senior officers wouldn't notice. But this is a good example of how and why the Bundeswehr needed to be disbanded...not only was there issues with actually issuing out military equipment, but the discipline was atrocious. I recall that the Inspector-General of the Bundeswehr, Volker Wieker, showed me around a military base in Lower Saxony — the 9th Armored Demonstration Brigade, I think — and I saw drunken soldiers, no NCOs taking their job seriously, and the senior officer of one of the companies — I can't remember the soldier's name, but he was a Hauptmann [Captain] — constantly yelling at soldiers to get back to work while only in a tank top and his trousers. The General [Volker Wieker] barked at them to stand at attention, and they did...but they were slow about it, and not really combat-ready. There was a real discipline problem with the Bundeswehr, and it was just as bad, if not worse, than the equipment shortages." — on the Bundeswehr's lack of discipline and equipment shortages.

"Will the Bundeswehr be returning? No. I don't think it will. Will it be replaced? Absolutely. His Majesty demanded that the General Officers, who seemed to be the only ones capable of working effectively, to redesign the Armed Forces from the ground-up. I cannot wait to see what they unveil soon, and I hope that the extra funds that the government is placing into the military will help restart German discipline and make us less of a laughing stock in Europe." — on whether or not the Bundeswehr would be returning or replaced entirely.

While the government seems confident, several critics — particularly former service members — have expressed their distaste of the Kaiser's decision to disband the Bundeswehr, calling their actions within the Bundeswehr a "waste of time, skill, and material" now that their beloved military is gone. They also criticize the Kaiser's lack of understanding the problems with the Bundeswehr were primarily funding and a lack of care for German militarism by the general public, something which was more due to the conflicts of the 2nd World War and the Battle of Europe. However, the Kaiser pushes forwards, hoping for an age where German children will be ready to grow up and serve their country if needed, and know how to properly do so.

Cold Temperatures Force Citizens to Flee German Soil

This is not a hoax. Germany has frozen over, and as temperatures and weather continue to worsen in progressing hours, or even days, it is clear that the time to leave is now. German citizens all over the country, including none other than His Imperial & Royal Majesty himself, have begun a process of fleeing and seeking asylum in countries currently not affected by the storm. As the storm worsens, so too do the amount of Germans leaving the country. In some areas, hail damage is costing tens of thousands of US dollars in damages, and in others, days are going by as normally as it can be seen.

A pileup of cars in near-whiteout conditions near a small town in Brandenberg is only a small example of damages caused by this ferocious storm

While it is stated that the German people that are leaving fear for their lives, there are those who are still keeping lights on and still able to use electricity without issue. The cold temperatures do not bother some, but many are still fleeing. Without weather to get better, it is suggested that people caught in the storm do the following:
  • Stay indoors if possible
  • Conserve power, especially in areas where weather is expected to get to below -10 degrees Celsius
  • If you must leave the warmth of your home or business, stay outside no longer than 30 minutes at most
  • Help anyone in need, even if you do not know them
  • If hail begins to fall, take all the necessary precautions; if it is larger than a quarter, do not attempt to go outside and stay away from the windows in your home
With these tips in mind, we here at DPA hope and pray for a safe winter for all of those staying, and for those of you leaving, good luck in your search for sanctuary, and may you be faster than the winds carrying this storm.

Welcome back to Deutsche Presse Agentur, my name is Monica Wanner, and here's our top stories here for the day: The Kaiser's return to Germany marked with an unprecedented press conference, where he outright states that it was necessary for the government to leave Germany in the wake of the winter storm; German arms production companies announce that they are forming a conglomerate under the nationalized federally-maintained institution of Reichland Defence GmbH; former military generals already coming out and stating that the Armed Forces are finally back up, and ready to start taking in new recruits as soon as soon as June begins; and the Yellow Vest protests in Hamburg finally brought down by police after 2-day-long battle in front of the City Hall. Let's start with that first one.

In light of his return to the German Realm, the Kaiser's legitimacy of Head of State was put to the question earlier today as he called for a press conference outside the Reichstag Building in Berlin. Upon his arrival, he was met with equal parts rejoice and condemnation, as protesters continued to blatantly call out the government's actions and request a referendum on the Kaiser's legitimacy. One of His Majesty's first statements to the public since the winter storm began came in the form of a sincere, heartfelt apology to the people of Berlin. Let's take a look.

Screens were filled with the image of the Kaiser, and the sound of cameras going off as he made an official apology and excuse before taking questions.

Ladies and gentlemen of the press. It was considered a betrayal when I and the federal government left Berlin when it began to freeze under the conditions imposed by Mother Nature. Anger towards me, and fear you all was faced, was is immense. And I express my condolences to those who still suffer in the shadow of this winter. Before I start, I want to make it clear that it was not my intention to abandon Germany. As much as I hated the decision, it was necessary for the federal government to move temporarily as the weather worsened. I want to apologize for what I did to upset you, but only because you deserve to know why I left. I didn't tell you, nor did I warn you of such an event."

Truly a display that did not satisfy the German people as they asked more questions and received rather vague answers. One was in response to the rapidly-declining economy, to which the Kaiser simply stated, "the Government is working on a solution for the decline in economic progress during the winter, to which you should expect to see an improvement in mid-to-late June." I don't know about any of you out there, but I am still concerned as to how exactly the economy will be improving. Coming up after this commercial break, German Arms Companies Krauss-Maffei Weggman, Rheinmetall, and Heckler & Koch have formed a new conglomerate with government sponsorship and nationalization; the reason as to why next.

Meet the New Armed Forces to Replace the Bundeswehr!

After months of waiting for what the German government had to offer for its replacement of the aging, and frankly destitute Bundeswehr, the Kaiser, along with a handful of military tacticians, came out to unveil the new military arm of the German Reich: now referred to as the proper "Armed Forces of the German Reich". When asked on what the new military was to encompass, the newly-appointed Reichsmarschall stepped forwards to DPA to give his take on what the new military now represented to Germany as a whole.

Volker Weiker, Reichsmarschall of the new Armed Forces, in his former Bundeswehr uniform prior to the disbandment of the Bundeswehr; Volker Weiker was formerly General Inspector of the Bundeswehr, and has been given his new position by the Kaiser himself as a gesture of good will towards the new Armed Forces.

"The new Armed Forces of the German Reich were designed with a similar philosophy to the Bundeswehr before it, while retaining and returning to the strong, proud Prussian military traditions that we have come to understand from a German military. The new Armed Forces encompass a variety of roles, and shall be prepared to not only defend the nation when needed, but to act as a properly-funded intervention force when needed as well. The Army alone has reactivated 3 of its dormant divisions, and has made sweeping changes to the way we organize our troops and equipment. His Majesty was especially pleased with the sweeping changes to the Air Force, Army, and the addition of our new Airborne Forces"

When questioned on what branches of the new branches of the Armed Forces would encompass, we were granted the opportunity to look at the new lineup: the new Heer, and now a proper Airborne Troops branch, are now highly focused on a Regimental Structure, similarly to how the United Kingdom's forces are structured. Each battalion is now associated to not only their division or brigade, but also to an "Verwaltungsregiment" — translated to our English readers as Administrative Regiment. Each of these administrative regiments carry traditions either from the 2nd Reich or from Prussian military tradition, which can be best-displayed in the Guards Regiments of the Army.

PdIDbx7.png

The Army & Airborne Troops seals of the new Armed Forces; their mottos, respectively translated to English, are "Serve the Realm, Protect the People" and "Nobody but us".

Regarding the new Air Force and Navy, nothing so far has officially been revealed to us, but what we do know about the new Armed Forces as a whole are that conscription has been reinstated at age 18, and that the entirety of the Armed Forces will begin its recruitment process sometime in mid to late June, with conscription expected to start along with it. So, for all of you out there who've begun your process of leaving secondary schooling, please remember that you will have a duty to your country in the following weeks. Prepare yourselves for beginning military training, and remember, you are welcome to apply prior to and after the update from the government on the actual date of recruitment processing, otherwise you may just end up conscripted into a position that you do not enjoy.

Siege at Brazilian Embassy Causes Tensions to Grow; The Next Global Conflict on the Way?

Tensions between Europe and South America grow even more heated after Brazilian diplomatic missions in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich were raided earlier today by Federal Police Forces of the German Realm; it was found, earlier today, that the Federal Government had given Federal Police clearance and a warrant to seize all assets and property of diplomats from Brazil after their 48 hour grace period had been reached. No information on prior warnings to the raids were given by the Federal Government of the German Reich except in the circumstance where they condemned the Brazilian Government for their draconian, racist, and unprofessional statements regarding both Taiwan and Sweden.

images

Reich Chancellor Andrea Nahles at a press release on the sieges

"We were well within our right to besiege the Embassy and Consulates of Brazil, and arrest all persons inside," Chancellor Nahles answered at a press release, "As His Imperial & Royal Majesty stated in his own international release in the face of harsh criticism, upon that [48 hour] grace period being up, the Brazilian diplomats were trespassing on government property, and have had their immunity stripped because they refused to comply with our demands for them to leave two days ago; I do not care if we are seen as barbarous or inhumane for what was a perfectly legal course of action in the face of a nation prone to tantrums and unprofessionalism."

According to Chapter 2, Article 5 of the Global Assembly's own rules for international relations — which have been followed to the letter by the German Reich and its government, and are available for reference to the general public — "The Receiving State may at any time (And without having to explain its decision), notify the Sending State that the 'Head of the Mission or any member of the Diplomatic Staff of the Mission' is PERSONA NON GRATA. The sending State shall, as appropriate, either recall the person concerned / terminate his functions with the mission. A person may be declared NON GRATA before arriving in the Territory of the Receiving State. The Sending State has 48 Hours to recall the Member of the Mission or his immunity is 'ANNUL'.", which essentially means that the German Reich was well within its right to act as it saw fit according to not only its own laws, but the laws of the international community. However, many have seen fit to condemn the sieges and even impede with progress of arresting the formerly-immune diplomats, such was the case with a group of yellow-vested protesters in Frankfurt, who were given multiple warnings to leave before arrests were made.

Yellow Vest protesters in the German Reich

It was quoted by one of the Federal Police Commissioners that were in Frankfurt that "no shots were fired until the protesters started getting violently in our faces. One of them almost clubbed an officer with a bat. It was at that point that we had to act." More than 50 arrests were made, over half of which included counts of assault and battery, resisting arrest, illegal possession of firearms, underage drinking and smoking, and combinations of all of these charges. Whether or not the arrests could've been avoided is another story entirely, but it is entirely clear that tensions have risen not only inside the country, but outside it as well.

Many governments across the world have seen fit to call the actions that were perfectly legal and within reason as "warmongering", "ultranationalists", "bullies", and even have seen fit to start referring to the state as being back on the slippery slope towards Nazism. Andrea Nahles had this to say in response to such criticisms.

"Brazil is as much a draconian state as they claim Taiwan is, and it is no wonder that they have lost many potential allies due to their 'macho egos' and unprofessional attitudes getting in the way of deescalating the already-tense atmosphere in Europe. I will say that the proverbial gun may have been jumped with not giving another warning after laying siege, but this is a professional government that has no time to repeat itself to men and women who clearly did not have the time to deal with our demand for them to leave our country. We will protect our sovereignty, and we will absolutely use our right to use force when necessary against not only Brazil, but other nations, and we would hope that such care would be taken by other countries to do the same."

Communist Takeover of France! Authoritarian, Militaristic Mobs Arrest the French Government and Establish a Dictatorship in its Place!

The spread of Communism and its facets has always been of great concern in the Federal Government. Authoritarianism is something that the German people had to live with for decades, and now it rears its ugly head once again in the form of violence in France. The Reds, as they so appropriately call themselves, have recently taken hold of Paris, and many have sought Asylum away from the approaching Red Tide. With this in mind, it is no wonder that the Federal Government is a little spooked by what is likely to become an authoritarian, cruel, and militaristic government.

French Revolutionaries calling themselves the Reds "peacefully" demonstrating in Paris

With the Federal Government having closed its Embassy and Consulate-Generals for the time-being, German citizens have been heavily recommended to leave the tumultuous affairs within France, and wait until an official statement on the French government is made by the German Reich. That being said, whether diplomatic relations will resume as normal, or another wall will be built to keep the French inside their homeland is another matter to be seen, one which the German government has yet to publicly answer.

Kingdom of Prussia Reformed! Federal Länder of the German Reich Given back Royal Statuses via the "Prussian Reintegration" Decree!

With the Kaiser comes one of his titles, the King of Prussia. However, Prussia has not existed as an official state of Germany since the fall of the Third Reich. Now, this has changed. The Royal Household released an official decree, accepted by the Volksrat and signed by Chancellor Nahles, that the Kingdom of Prussia was to be officially reformed as a further division of the German Reich. The decree, known as the "Prussian Reintegration & Reorganization Decree" sees to reestablish the Kaiser's legitimate claims, not as a further division of Germany. When the Federal Länder questioned their Volksrat representatives, the Minister of the Volksrat, Nicola Asmann, had this to say:

The territories (in dark green) that are establishing the new Kingdom of Prussia

"According to what we have understood in the Volksrat, His Majesty wants Germany to come closer together through the reintegration of its old realms which belonged to his great-great-grandfather. I see no reason why the royal households of earlier years should not exist, and I would agree to a decree giving Bavaria its own royal sovereign if he presents it. I would agree with one for Thuringa or Hesse or any other federal state that wanted to set up a court."

However, members of the Federal Government are not nearly as impressed, and call the display a pompous show of power that pulls the Kaiser's attention away from the People of Germany, and instead focuses on the State itself. Reich Chancellor Nahles, while she did sign it, expressed her displeasure with the concept of it, as it could mean eventually dissolving the Federal States of Germany and switching to a more feudal system of governance. The Royal Household denies such a possibility, with Royal Household Minister Celina Kästner stating on behalf of the Kaiser:

"The Royal Household has had no intention to bring us back farther than Wilhelm II and his dynastic titles and claims. We respect the Federalization and Republicanism of the German Reich enough to know that we would be overstepping many boundaries with not only my government, but our people, if he were to rearrange the Federal States and their Constituents in a Royal Decree like this. This was only to solidify our national unity, and give more purpose to the dynastic titles that His Majesty possesses; nothing more, nothing less."

The National Socialist German Workers' Party Officially Legal Again! For the First Time Since the Collapse of the Third Reich, the Nazis are Legally Allowed to be Placed on the Voting Ballot!

Since the collapse of the Third Reich, the National Socialist German Workers Party has been considered to be by the Federal Republic of Germany an illegal party. Furthermore, those who support fascism and national socialism in particular had, during the 4th Reich Era, illegally seized power for themselves and had ultimately brought the horrors of the past back with them. After intense debate between members of government, and with the advisory of the Volksrat, the Committee for Political Parties & Organizations for the Reichstag has finally agreed, for the first time since 1938, to allow for the National Socialist German Workers' Party to be eligible for voting on the ballot.

Whilst this decision has been met with equal parts criticism and praise, the general consensus has been one of outrage from men and women over the age of 32, and praise for men and women under the age of 21. The divide in opinion is stark and contrasting, and to understand what exactly is going on, DPA got an interview with Wolfgang Shröder, a former member of the Party when it was illegal and the man behind such debate.

A local couple in Brandenberg proudly displaying their affiliation to the National Socialist German Workers' Party. They are not the only exception either, as thousands across Germany have hoisted the flag of the Third Reich high, and "Heil" either the Führer, Adolf Hitler/Leopold Hertzberg, or His Majesty, the Kaiser.

"It is clear that the German people are divided between the damage done by Adolf Hitler's National Socialists and the economic improvements of the NSDAP under Hertzberg's National Socialists. The old Germans, who fought against the capitalists in the Battle for Europe, under the ideology of National Bolshevism, and those who still live from the time of the one, true Führer, are far more skeptical than the young Germans, who want their voices heard. As the Führer himself once said, 'in a hundred years, perhaps a great man will emerge who can offer them a chance at salvation.' While he was a little too early, Hertzberg was this man for young Germans. The old Germans fear the damages done by the NSDAP and its successors, the young Germans embrace its economic improvements and presenting of national pride and patriotism."

When asked if he would rejoin the NSDAP, now that it was legal, Wolfgang made the following statement.

"I joined the NSDAP under Hertzberg in search of drastic change to the way that the system was currently running. I cannot say that I will not join it, but I certainly feel comfortable with the NPD and its policies. Both parties are similar and, maybe...who knows? Maybe both parties will run as a Union Party to combat the Conservatives and the Liberals."

With the NSDAP now legalized, many have flocked to its arms in an effort to sway the public into a frenzy for the next Federal Election. Whether or not the Nazis will win is all dependent on a crucial matter: the way that they portray themselves towards minority groups who may feel offended or afraid for their lives in the presence of the NSDAP. However, with it now solidified by the government that freedom of speech is more important than the feelings of the individuals or the groups that they offend, could we see a Nazi government coexisting with the Royal Family amidst a Republican system?

Is France's Emanuel Macron an Imposter? Conspiracy Theorists and even the Kaiser Himself Think So!

With the recent revival of the Republic of France from a socialist regime, one expected new elections to begin immediately and elect someone with the charisma and character to lead France into a new age of democracy for itself. However, according to French media, and the government itself, Emanuel Macron has taken back his original position of President of the French Republic, and has made it a mission to silence media commenting and questioning on his supposed death at the hands of French Socialists.

French Revolutionaries calling themselves the Reds preparing to riot in Paris in June, 2013

In a wave of "#SecondComing" and media questioning his death, the French media outlet, France 24, has chosen to silence nations that have even remotely brought up the question of President Macron's supposed demise at the hands of rabid socialists a months back; what happened was never truly clarified, but it was publicly documented that Macron was dragged into the streets of Paris, beaten bloody, and dragged off to a fate unknown to the public. One would never have guessed that he would be resuming control over the French State after the socialist republic seemingly disbanded itself or fell apart from the inside. After a significant amount of backlash, and the silencing of German media in France, the German government collectively scratched their heads in utter confusion over the situation, with the Kaiser making a stance clear that this may not be the real President Macron we're dealing with.

The last known photograph of President Emanuel Macron prior to the Reds making siege against the French Governnment

After the Kaiser put his own opinion towards the crowd, conspiracy journalists flocked to his opinion like a moth to flame, and have, since then, only been making wilder stories on the possibility of Macron's identity. While his very identity is at stake, what is considered to be even more at stake is the potentiality for a dictatorship within the bounds of the French Republic. Not three months ago, Macron was deposed by the People because he was not listening to them; now, he is back, seemingly 'elected' back into a position that the People deplore him for, and where he censors the opinions of discredited or inane sources because he doesn't like them asking questions about his seeming immortality. Whether this is a precursor to something worse or simply a fluke of a man who may still be recovering from a traumatic experience, it cannot be said. What can be said, however, is that strange times are ahead of us as a people. Stay strong France, in the face of tyranny, and stay free, in the name of those who sacrificed their lives for you.

Special Economic Zones to be Established!

Germany has been a land that has prided itself in its economic prosperity. As of late, however, that economic prosperity has been disrupted through the various regime changes over the past decade. In order to combat this, the Federal Government has decided to re-purpose several of the Länder of the German Reich into Special Economic Zones, specifically for the purpose of being utilized as trade hubs and business centers for international trade. One, in particular, has been catching the eye of Germans: the expansion of the Berlin area into Brandenberg and Potsdam as a Special Economic Zone known as the German Capital Region. Why this particular project has caught the eye of many Germans hasn't been the plans to essentially create a large metropolitan area; the reason why this has caught the eye of the German people is because of the new expansion including what the government has deemed as "Germania". If the name sounds familiar, then it is: it was a concept that was thought of by both Adolf Hitler and Albert Speer for a grand reconstruction of Berlin.

A model of Adolf Hitler's plan for Berlin formulated under the direction of Albert Speer, looking north toward the Volkshalle at the top of the frame.

While the original plan and layout was meant to encompass the Berlin area, the concept of Germania has been repurposed by Hans Kollhoff — a post-modern and New Classical architect who has designed several buildings across Berlin — to become its very own city within the German Capital Region; the new Germania is to include a historically-accurate city-center, including the Avenue of Splendors (Now named the Avenue of Freedom — Freiheitsallee), the Großehalle (as designed, it will include several government offices and the massive auditorium, but will also include a museum section and monument to German Democracy in its center), and the Triumphal Arch (now the Atonement Archway — Versöhnungsbogen — which will include the engraved names of all those who have suffered under German aggression, and a plaque commemorating the atonement Germany must make), alongside a variety of business and techparks to coincide alongside Berlin and Potsdam business park expansions.

The project for Germania alone is estimated to cost 3.75-4 billion US dollars, but the other Special Economic Zones — currently discussed for Munich, Hamburg, and Bremen — are estimated to cost an additional 1.5-2 billion US dollars. Ultimately a grand undertaking that has been stated by the Federal Government to increase international commerce within these regions, and further-distribute it to the Federal States; however, members of the Reichstag believe in different, stating that the project for the German Capital Region is less-so to turn Berlin into an economic zone, and more of a historical landmark for both German citizens to make pilgrimage to, as well as for tourists to come and look at German history.

Claus Hugo Strandberg Arrested, but Where's the Money?!

Late into last year, the German Bundesbank was hit hard when its former Chairman, Claus Strandberg, had disappeared with around three quarters of a billion US dollars from German citizens. After months of searching, Federal Police finally found the man hiding in a small town in Bavaria. The reasoning behind hiding in Bavaria was simple: a close proximity to the Austrian border, which he would have likely used to escape soon if there had been any public indication of the police knowing his location.

A view from the mountains of the town where Claus Strandberg was caught

However, while Strandberg has been apprehended and is awaiting trial at a Federal Court of Criminal Justice, the money that he has stolen has yet to be found; through multiple interrogations, no information has been disclosed by Strandberg and, in all likelihood, will remain that way until the police can find a lead on where the money could have potentially gone. Whatever the case may be, a monster has been brought to justice, and is awaiting his punishment. However, will it be enough to satisfy those he has wronged? Only time will tell.
