Dear Prime Minister Bourne,

It is with great pleasure that I write my first formal e-mail as the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. With Great Britain being politically strong within the international community as well as , I believe it will be best suited to kick start relations with your nation, especially after the fiscal that the old administration created within the region. I am proposing that we start off with a meeting between ourselves either in Britain or here in Germany where we can discuss numerous topics such as trade, relations between our nations and global affairs. I look forward to hearing a reply regarding the meeting in the near future and I hope to see you soon.

Yours,
Mr Maximilian Roth
Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

Dear Mr Maximilian Roth,

Thank you for contacting the office of the Prime Minister.
Unfortunately Mr Bourne, and his Deputy, Mr Gibbs, are both otherwise engaged. However, I have been authorised to open talks with yourself on their behalf due to their current engagements. I am Leonie Hay; an aide of Mr Bourne.
We are grateful to have received the interest in opening relations, and something we too would happily welcome. Is there an ideal date for us to meet, I would be able to come to Germany at your earliest convenience unless you would prefer a call.

Kind Regards,
LHay

Dear Mr Hay,

I thank you for the quick response and I totally accept that Prime Minister Bourne is busy with other topics at hand. I would happily host you here in Germany at your earliest convenience, where we can discuss numerous topics at hand regarding relations between our two nations. I look forward to meeting with you and hopefully putting a foot in the door regarding the relations between our two nations.

Yours,
Mr Maximilian Roth
Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

From the UK, utilising the Britten-Norman Defender AL.2, Leonie would depart with a security detail of 5 members of the 1st Regiment, RMP. The destination? Germany. The German Government was made aware he had departed, and would, of course, go through the standard flight procedure. Requesting transport for their arrival to meet with the German Govenrment.

With the British sending a diplomat to the Federal Republic of Germany, the British Aircraft was directed to Berlin Schönefeld Airport (EDDB) where an isolated area would be cordoned off for the British Aircraft once it has landed. An awaiting armored convoy would be waiting, with enough room for the British security detail to travel as well.

Flights in and around Berlin Schönefeld Airport itself were either put into a holding pattern or diverted to Berlin Tegel Airport (EDDT) if needed in case of emergency, while the holding pattern didn't cause any disruption it was more for safety to be able to get the British on the ground and into an awaiting convoy without disrupting further operations on the ground. The British aircraft would be refueled and maintenance checks would be completed by German ground crew when given the nod to do so by the British pilots.

Leonie's flight had been straight forward, and a smooth transition from the UK to Germany thanks to the German authorities. Arriving at their drop off point, the British Delegate exited her vehicle and boarded the convoy with her security detail. Patiently held in the vehicle until they arrive to meet representatives of the German Government.

The convoy would speed off under escort from the local police forces, the routes were cleared an hour before the British's plane arrival into German airspace. With the convoy going through the German streets with ease, it would turn up at the residence of the Chancellor who would be waiting at the front door for the British Delegate.

With the car arriving, Max would walk to the car door himself, opening it up for the British Representation "Welcome to Germany! I hope the flight was pleasant. Can I get you anything?" pausing while shaking the British's hand and leading the way into his office

The British Delegate exited the vehicle, "Thank you" he replied as the door was opened for him. "It was pleasant enough.. cut backs led to poorer air travel." he laughed. "I'm well, thank you." he shook the mans hand, entering his office. "How are things going with your Administration?"

"Things are going pleasantly well at this moment in time, we are progressing quite steadily into the international community after the old administrations...actions so to speak on the international stage. How are things back in Britain?" he paused allowing the British to take a seat and answer in return "Could I get you any refreshments?"

"Just a glass of water would be perfect, thank you", clearing his throat before he continued whilst he sat down. "Business as usual. We have some new trade upcoming, new defence contracts as you'd know with the Boxer.
Overall, assessing where our priorities lie for the next couple of years. Difficult process." he joked. "How are things going under your Administration?"

"Two waters please" Max would say to an aide who would shortly returned with a jug of ice cold water and two glasses before leaving "That is good to hear, keeping busy as usual. Things are doing pleasantly well at this moment in time, we are striving and the German population are looking a head and are in full support of the government which is also a pleasant thing." Max would clear his throat, pouring himself and the British delegation member a glass of water taking a sip before continuing to speak "The Federal Republic of Germany would like to start a Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We currently have 25% Tariffs put into place with all nations however as a gesture of good will and hopefully a strong future relation between us. We'd like to scrap the 25% tariff and put a 0% tariff on all trade between Britain and Germany. What are your thoughts on this?"

The British Delegate welcomed the water, taking a sip. "It's great to hear everything seems to be progressing in the right direction. I'm also thrilled to hear of the agreed cooperation of the GTX Boxer between the UK, Netherlands and Germany. All steps forward in terms of enhanced cooperation within Europe." there was a short pause whilst trade was raised as a topic. "We're happy to look into a Free Trade Agreement but would need to see a draft for it to be considered. Do you have one we could look into?"

"Certainly" the Chancellor paused before pulling a file from a folder sliding it over to the British representative before continuing "I hope this agreement is something we can agree on. We see Great Britain as a future ally and a close friend. We'd also like to get another agreement put into place however I shall talk about that one after we have sorted this out"

The agreement was reviewed, then signed by the British Representative.
"Of course." he smiled in response to the signing of the Free Trade Agreement. "What is the other agreement you would look into signing together?"

The chancellor would bring out another file however this file was marked top secret as he passed it over he begun speaking “Its an intelligence sharing agreement, I believe this new administration of the Federal Republic and Great Britain could be key allies in this region. We share the same goals, peace and security for the European people, so I believe having an agreement of this nature would be key to help defend both the British and German citizens as well as European citizens residing in our nations. This will also be a step forward to combat terrorism that we witnessed not long ago in the states”

"Thank you for the agreement.
Whilst it's something we're very open to welcoming, given the nature is regarding Intelligence gathering it is something I will need to consult with the Ministry of Defence and other members of the British Cabinet. If you're happy to leave me with that, I will review it with the relevant persons and come back to you with an update on our stance or any adjustments if that's Ok?

I agree that cooperation, especially cooperation of European countries is vital to ensure that information is shared that could save lives. I will work to get you an update on progress regarding the Intelligence Sharing Agreement and come back to you as soon as possible."

“That sounds wonderful, it’s good to hear that the British government relays information on to other departments to gain approval of such things and not just signing. Things straight away.

Although I’m a bit disturbed by the Irish actions, I must say the British Government has the backing of the Federal Republic regarding the situation”

"As it should be." chuckled the representative. "The u-turn made by Ireland is indicating more of an aggressive stance by the day. Their original statement kept reassuring the world how they don't want war, and even Brazil intervened and mentioned military support. Whereas historically, such as with Argentina prior to our deal in the mid-2000s, no military was even mentioned it was a political escalation. However, we're not worried. It's not so much a threat but we'll be ready anyway just in case.. Nonetheless, thank you for your support. It seems most the world is in support of Northern Ireland."

“Indeed, it seems that Brazil cannot keep themselves to themselves and want to involve themselves into something that doesn’t concern them especially when it’s the other side of the world!” He’d pause clearing his throat “What is your current view with Serbia assaulting Kosovo again?”
