To whomever it may concern,

My name is Karsten Jürke, and I act as the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs for the German Reich; I would like to formally congratulate you at the behest and on the behalf of His Imperial & Royal Majesty, Kaiser Friedrich IV of the German Reich and King of Prussia, for your ascension to power. While your government is seen as potentially corrupt, I cannot say that the Reich Chancellery and the Royal Household are not intrigued by the state of affairs in the Ukraine. I would like to propose a meeting between the German ambassador in Kiev and yourself, or an associated ambassador, to discus on the finer points of Ukrainian policy. In particular, I would like for my ambassador to discuss on current affairs in the European and South American geopolitical spheres, opinions regarding our two countries, and a slew of other topics that could likely be discussed in person.

This is merely to gauge our current relationship with your government, as well as to bring the matter of East-European relations back up to the forefront of discussion at the next convening of my Cabinet due to the rather tumultuous times we live in, where it seems that we cannot even trust the French to behave themselves anymore. Alternatively, if you would like, I could come in person with His Majesty to discuss with the Archon of your "Epilarchy", while you and I can discuss those finer points in person. That being said, I wholly expect that our talks will result in something constructive for both sides, especially considering what we have seen in the media with the Ukraine during the whole incident with Brazil.

Best regards,
Karsten Jürke

Subject: RE: Bi-Lateral Relations with Ukraine

Greetings,

Mr. Jürke, I am the Foreign Minister of the Ukrainian Federative Directorate and my name is Anton Sergeiev. I am glad that Germany has contacted us and even happier that not all of Europe has descended to Communism. I suppose only nations that have gone through the horrors of extremist socialism such as National Socialism and Militant Communism can understand how dreadful it is. You wish for us to meet? That can be arranged though in short the Ukrainian government is anti communist and our observations of Brazil are far from positive especially with what seems like Argentinian meddling in what is essentially the backyard of Europe in Ireland. I can contact Igor Malkovich, the Premiere or Archon as he is known more formally. I believe it would be prudent to inform the entire presidium however. A meeting in either Kiev or Berlin with yourself and I along with our Heads of State could be done rather promptly, the world seems to be stirring towards conflict and Europe needs to for once stand united.

Sincerely,
Anton Sergeiev
Foreign Minister of the Ukrainian Federative Directorate

Herr Sergeiev,

After careful considering with the Royal Household, I am happy to report that His Majesty will be delighted to speak with your Premiere in Kiev, having a relatively free schedule for the upcoming two weeks. I can arrange travel in as little as a few hours from Berlin-Tegel International Airport to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport for both His Majesty and I. All I would need to know is a good time to plan for, as well as anyone else that we should potentially host for this meeting. I look forward to the moment when we can discuss these matters more in person, and how we can establish a stronger bond between Germany and many of its former enemies.

Best regards,

Mr. Jürke,

That would be excellent, Ukraine would be honoured to have your King hosted within Kiev. Bringing the Kaiser's secretary would be advised, here in Ukraine the entire Presidium is given the role of leading the nation forward after reaching consensus. If it is convenient, an immediate meeting would be possible and preferable. Hope to see your delegation soon and safe travels.

Warmest Regards,
Anton Sergeiev

After the message was received, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a private and encrypted travel list of personnel on diplomatic mission to Ukraine's Presidium, including:
  • His Imperial & Royal Majesty, Friedrich IV, the Kaiser of the German Reich, King of Prussia
  • Celina Kästner, Federal Minister for the Royal Household & Royal Secretariat Detail
  • Karsten Jürke, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Ernst Reichel, Head of the Embassy of Ukraine
  • Kaisergarde Platoon — 44 soldiers Equipped with MP7 PDWs & USP Sidearms & in Kaisergarde Dress Uniform, with a few members in plainclothes
  • Reichspresse Detail
The Kaisergruppe (excluding Ernst Reichel, who would be designated to meet up with the "Kaisergruppe") sent a message of departure about 3-4 hours after the message was received, and took off from Berlin (JO) to arrive at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (KO) within the hour, depending on air traffic control. The Presidium was to be notified by the Kiev Embassy when the diplomatic detail arrived, so that the Foreign Minister of the Ukrainian Federative Directorate and the Archon could meet up with the Kaiser either at the airport or at another location.

The Air Control Tower of Igor Sikorsky International Airport would guide the Airbus A220 jet into the appropriate cordoned off government hangar to receive the esteemed guests of the Ukrainian Federative Directorate. Waiting as the Kaiser and his official federal ministers dismounted would be Igor Malkovich and Anton Sergeiev along with his secretary and a fluent German speaker, Elvira Ustinov. The First Honour Guard Company of the Presidential Honour Guard Battalion would provide escort consisting of:

  • 122 soldiers with ceremonial dress uniforms
  • Equipped with Makarov PMs (sidearms) and SKS and bayonets attached (ceremonial rifles)
  • Full Drum and fife
  • A collection of black clad government plate limousines

Igor Malkovich would greet the Kaiser in his best English, "Welcome to Ukraine, hopefully the flight wasn't too dull. Also welcome to my namesake international airport!" Igor would chuckle as he exchanged a handshake with the Kaiser and the Foreign Minister, Anton would do the same with his counterpart while Elvira translated for him. The Ukrainian Honour Guard would hold their guns up to a salute while forming a corridor to the limousines as the various delegates greeted one another.

As the Kaiser stepped out of the plane, he gave a curt wave as he walked over to greet Malkovich and his entourage. Stepping swiftly behind him to the left was Federal Minister Karsten Jürke, holding a briefcase that contained official documents for his meeting with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, and Royal Household Minister Celina Kästner to his right, who was already speaking with several press correspondents that followed swiftly behind, either taking video and pictures, or jotting down notes of what was being said.

As they exited the plane and the Kaiser stepped forwards to shake Igor's hand with a confidence and grace seemingly practiced, yet with a warm and natural feeling to it, the Kaisergarde stepped forth in ceremonial dress uniform, most noted as being members of the 1st "Emperor Alexander" Guards Grenadiers Regiment from their cuff titles. Their uniforms were noted to be rather similar to Wehrmacht standard-issue uniforms, grey in coloration with two sets of pockets on each side — one on the breast, one below it — a Pickelhaube upon each soldier's head, signifying their place as a part of a Guards' Formation, and a pair of polished jackboots. The majority of the men in the platoon had an Iron Cross 2nd Class, with several possessing the Iron Cross 1st Class, sergeants' lanyards, and other awards and honors for military service; these awards were likely given to soldiers who served in the Battle of Europe and previous wars that Germany had been involved in in the past decade or so. The lieutenant of the platoon, after exiting the plane, turned to his formation and gave a quick bark of, "Achtung!" his troops falling into line and standing to attention, turning to face away from the plane to face the group before being ordered to "Präsentiert das Gewehr".

"I am not a fan of flying, myself. I get terrible fits of travel sickness when it comes to flying, I'm afraid," the Kaiser half-heartedly joked, his stomach already starting to get queesy at the idea of flying again shortly after this meeting. "Regardless, it's good to meet you Premiere Malkovich. I must say, the way that your government has been set up is rather intriguing. Perhaps we can compare and contrast state management and our Constitutions?" Friedrich's eye moved over to peer at Anton Sergeiev with a piercing, yet warm gaze as soon as he remembered that others were in the area. "Herr Sergeiev, I presume? This is Karsten Jürke; I believe you both spoke to one-another through email." the Kaiser introduced, the man to his left already moving forwards to shake Anton's hand, the sounds of photographs being taken by the press detail already echoing through the hangar.

"A pleasure to meet you Minister. I hope that, after today, that the Reichstag has more faith in relations with Eastern Europe," he stated with a matter-of-factly, excitable tone. To the Kaiser's right, Minister Kästner kept her eyes on all of the Ukrainian Honor Guard, her gaze flickering to each individual member to take in the sight in comparison to the Kaisergarde. Eventually, her gaze flickered over to Ambassador Ernst Reichel of the Kiev Embassy for Germany, who walked over, shook her hand, and proceeded to speak to her privately in hushed German, gazes flickering over the men as the Kaiser engaged in political discourse.

The Ukrainian Presidential Honor Guard would promptly fall into ranks and present arms as their Commanding Officer shouts "Smir-Nah! Na-Kraul!" as he lifts his ceremonial saber and slashes forward he and a procession of a dozen soldiers march down the row of soldiers as Malkovich responds to the Kaiser "A pleasure to meet your majesty as well, I've heard good things about you and your nation. You have some interesting ideas from what I've seen of your parliamentary debates on television, though I haven't seen them personally I have received briefings on them."

It was at that moment that the Commanding Officer of the Honour Guard ordered "Na Graut!" and the Honour Guard set their weapons to port just as the diplomats were clearing the column of soldiers. However just as the last soldier was setting their weapon to port he fumbled and dropped it near the Kaiser as he fumbled it forcing Malkovich to grab Frederich and move him aside to avoid the bayonet of the SKS. "What in the hell is going on?" demanded Malkovich as the CO with a bright red face quickstepped up to the soldier ,who dropped his gun and was squatting down to grab it, and physically grabbed the soldier and yanked him off the red carpet.

Smir-Nah - Attention | Na-Kraul - Present Arms | Na Graut - Port Arms

edit to grammar -_-

As soon as the last soldier had fumbled and dropped his weapon, the Kaisergarde had sprung into action, already moving into combat positions and dropping their karabiners for MP7s that had been holstered out of view, aiming at the soldier who had so carelessly fumbled around His Majesty and barking orders at him to stop what he was doing immediately. Friedrich had panicked and stumbled out of the way after Malkovich pulled him back, landing square on his rear end before scrambling to his feet, a look of surprise and startled fear etched onto his face. He turned to Malkovich, giving him a look that indicated surprise and thanks for Malkovich pulling him away, before turning back to the Kaisergarde, the Leutnant looking to him for guidance on the situation; Georg gave a quick order for the Kaisergarde to stand down and return to formation, which was done with equal parts precision and relief, as soon as the soldier had been escorted off the Red Carpet by his senior officer.

Upon the soldier being dragged off the red carpet, the Kaiser turned to Malkovich, his heart still thrumming in his ears, as his bodyguards proceeded to reholster their MP7s and pick back up their karabiners. The platoon sergeant, one Feldwebel Benedikt Henseler, ran over to ensure the Kaiser was not injured in the display as Minister Kästner began giving equal parts congratulations for their quick action and reprimands for not being close enough to His Majesty.

"Well...I certainly wasn't expecting that...thank you Premiere," he expressed with gratitude, "There is nothing like seeing a bayonet fall past where you stood a second before to really get your blood pumping..." The Kaiser proceeded to nervously chuckle at his attempt to make light of what could have been a disastrous situation, Minister Jürke not being so easily impressed and shaking like a leaf at what he had just witnessed. It was the first time he had been with the Kaiser outside of Germany, and seeing this kind of display now put him on edge for His Majesty's safety and security.

"R-regardless," Georg stuttered, placing a hand over his chest and setting up a calmer composure to respond to Malkovich's earlier comments, "I am pleased to hear that my country's reputation hasn't been completely tarnished over the past decade by the actions of ineffective or violent governments; If you wish, I could invite you to this month's plenary sitting so that you can get a better view than a simple briefing on what legislation was discussed, hmm?"

As Elvira stood still after seeing a monarch almost get slashed by carelessness and Anton slack jawed and mumbling about dishonourable discharges, Malkovich a military veteran himself did a once over of Georg and after realizing he was fine breathed a sigh of relief. "I apologize for that, that was extremely unprofessional... As for your offer Your Majesty that sounds like it could be pleasant, further talks in Berlin sound like they could be quite productive and I've never been there personally." Malkovich would gesture at the Kaisergarde and Kaiser to proceed with an usher of his arm as two Ukrainian Guards opened the doors to the limousines to allow the delegations to each take their own vehicle with the Honour Guard marching to the orders of the Junior Officer on duty to disperse in a goosestepping parade march to their staging point to await the depature of the delegations to Mariyinsky Palace where the talks would take place. Malkovich made a quick joke as the rest of their respective parties got situated, "I doubt lightning will strike twice eh?" he said lightheartedly to the Kaiser.

The Kaiser chuckled in response as he stepped into the limousine with Malkovich, replying in kind as he stepped into the limousine with Malkovich and a section of the platoon.

"I certainly hope, otherwise my next trip might have to be Ireland to find a four-leafed clover and a lucky horseshoe," he mused with a lighthearted chortle; two sections of the Kaisergarde Platoon stayed behind to watch the plane, standing to attention before making a patrol route around the aircraft. The Reichspresse detail had already been jotting down notes and statements, as well as talking among themselves, regarding what had just happened as they stepped into their limousine, with Royal Household Minister Kästner following the other section of the Kaisergarde that were going to follow His Majesty. Karsten chose to follow Anton, guessing that as soon as they got to Mariyinksy Palace, he would likely be separated from His Majesty and ushered to a private chamber to talk and discuss on matters of political nature.

For the entire ride, Georg had already started on making lighthearted conversation with Malkovich, talking about recent events both mundane and internationally witnessed; a particular favorite of his was talking about hobbies, one of his being of a collection of hunting rifles, a portion of which he used on annual hunting trips with his two sons, and another of him considering getting a family dog and considering good breeds look at.

Malkovich would openly laugh at the remark on Ireland and as Georg explained his interest in hunting Malkovich would give his opinions. "Ah, personally for a hunting rifle I bought a fine Austrian gun by Szecsei & Fuchs. It's a .458 Winchester Magnum bolt action, but the twist is that it's also double barreled and is the finest craftsmanship you'll find on a rifle. Dangerous game such as bears and boar don't allow you a follow up shot and semi automatics while not unreliable can fail at a critical moment. I find it quite handy, they're custom built for around 70-100,000 USD but worth every dollar. Unfortunately I don't have my own dog but I've always been partial to Mastiffs and Shepherd breeds, you know the Labrador and Poodle are both excellent hunting dogs along with German pointers." Malkovich would go on in length about how he tracked a Brown Bear through the Tundra east of the Ural mountains as the limousine came up to the Maryinsky Palace.

As the Kaiser stepped out from the limousine, he reciprocated Premier Malkovich's story with one of his own hunts: a week-long adventure in tracking a stag that had eluded and attempted to escape in the Black Forest; the stag, of course, had been shot, but he came back home exhausted, but proud for his catch.

"I actually brought that Stag to Potsdam when I was finally gifted my residences by the Federal Government; he currently makes an excellent conversation piece in one of the guest rooms." he finished with a chuckle, looking out to the Maryinksy Palace with a rather casual whistle, as though he were a tourist visiting and ready to take pictures.

"Quite the palace; do you happen to know the history behind it, Premier?" he asked, genuinely curious to the history of the building he was walking towards.

Premiere Malkovich would reply, "Not really, I believe it was simply a summer palace for Tsarina Elizaveta or perhaps it was Katerina, it is quite beautiful regardless of its origins. I believe in burned down sometime in the 19th century and was restored a few decades after and of course it survived communism." Malkovich would chuckle a bit at that last comment.

Igor would walk with the Kaiser while the rest of their entourage would follow, the Kaisergarde shadows around the Kaiser. Another few dozen Presidential Honour Guard would be lined up in front the Palace and repeat the routine seen previously at the airport thankfully without mishap and the entourage would pass the threshold into the Palace as they made their way to the negotiating table with the other 6 epilarchs of the Upper Presidium.

As the Kaiser walked into the room, and saw the 6 other Epilarchs, he cocked a brow in confusion; he had assumed that it would only be him and the Premiere speaking to one-another as his Foreign Minister potentially worked out agreements with his Ukrainian counterpart. As the Kaiser took his seat, a member of the Kaisergarde stood close to him, observing the Upper Presidium as he cleared his throat.

"I assumed that it would only be the Premiere and I," Georg interrogated Igor, his brow still raised — no longer in confusion, but in interest — but his posture relaxed.
