[Germany] Rearmament and Retraining of the German Armed Forces

In early May, the Federal Ministry of Defence finally announced — with resounding applause — to the Reichstag and, ultimately, to the world at large, that the German Armed Forces had been successfully reorganized into a more formidable fighting force. The reforms, which had taken months to accomplish, were the result of former General Officers and the Admiralty of the former Bundeswehr, to which many of the officers who were responsible for the reforms and for particular requests, were awarded with higher pay and positions. Later that same month, as the Armed Forces began to receive and allow press coverage, the Armed Forces announced its intentions to begin training and equipment requisition as soon as possible, with activity picking up in mid–late June as both veterans and newly-conscripted or volunteering soldiers began their journey into adulthood.

With the programs for rearmament and retraining of the Armed Forces and its newly-refurbished branches and command structure underway, Federal Ministry of Defence would make a request to various nations across Europe and — to a lesser extent — Asia to assist in the matter of retraining the German Armed Forces; in particular, the Federal Ministry of Defence requested assistance in cooperative training measures with other Armed Forces, primarily those that did not follow a traditional Regimental system like that of the United Kingdom or, as of now, the Turkish Armed Forces.
