All elements had now safely arrived at CFB Gagetown. The night before the exercise, a full meeting briefing would be given to each side of the operation. The objectives were simple, OPFOR forces held a mock village which blue force would be required to capture.

Opfor forces would depart into the night, setting up their LAV IIIs around the village and positioning dismounted infantry into foxholes on the outskirts of the village. The HQ platoon and support platoon would be based inside the village, able to direct and support operations outside.

For the bluefor forces, the night would be occupied with cooking ration packs and camping out in the harsh Canadian weather upon the plains. Weapon checks would be ongoing and walking boots prepared for the hike towards the target in the morning.

Roughly 2 miles away, the Medical regiment would set up a casualty receiving hospital ready for the mock casualties to begin arriving.
