After some success in controlling inflation, the foreign ambassador of Greece has decided to visit Germany to to off some of its debt and to start trade deals. After a week in Germany, the ambassador will fly back to Greece or fly to another country to improve relations. This will all start as soon as Germany allows the ambassador to visit Berlin.

AUTHENTIC COMMUNIQUE OF THE OFFICE OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Security Clearance: Secure and Encrypted
[Recipient]: Embassy of the Hellenic Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany < Calicoboi [Sender]: Office for European Affairs and Integration < @MLLLuciaMOFA.de.gov >
[BCC]:[/align][Subject]: Defense Procurement
Your Excellency,

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. We would like to invite you to our office in Berlin for an introduction. It is our hope these talks be foundational for strong Hellenic-German relations and are eager to see that happen.

Please find your diplomatic credentials attached below for entry into the Federal Republic of Germany as well as an invitation to the Ministry attached below and we look forward to your arrival.

Sincerely,
Maria-Ludovica Lucia
Director for European Affairs and Integration.

It was cool in Berlin as the morning sky lit up the city which had been through a turbulent night following the election. The air was tight as the situation continued to develop in Germany. As for the airport, the city was bustling with travelers, although extra security would be noticeable at public transit sights.

The Greek tentative Ambassador to Germany would land and find three German diplomatic protocol officers waiting for him. Given he had yet to be formally accredited to Germany it would be onto them to ensure the Ambassador made it to his destination.

The sleek black diplomatic convoy glided through the streets of the bustling city, escorted by a single police car. The Ambassador could glance out of the tinted windows and noticed a small group of protestors gathered along the sidewalks as they walked towards the city center, brandishing placards and banners in protest. The signs read stop the steal and demanded recounts for the election that had just happened.

Once inside the Ministry, the Ambassador would be greeted by an older man, somewhere in his forties in a charcoal gray suit. The Protocol Officer would welcome the Ambassador and guide him to the Office of Maria-Ludovica.Once inside he would be seated, offered his choice of drink and the meeting would proceed.

"This is a nice meeting place" The ambassador stated while getting comfortable quickly. "Now, lets talk about relations" He says getting a paper and pencil out. "This is just for putting down ideas. Let me begin with the idea of a NAP and trade agreement."

As the two sat in the Director's office, she would have Moroccan Mint tea in front of her, with a chamomile and sage tea placed in front of the Greek Ambassador. As she saw the Ambassador take out a notepad, she looked with interest to see what he would say next. She could only chuckle to herself when they would mention a non-aggression pact.

Maria-Ludovica Lucia: "I don't believe there is any need for a non-aggression pact Ambassador, we aren't in the early 1900s." She said with a smile. "I do believe we can happily discuss the foundations of a trade agreement as we would be eager to reinforce bilateral trade between our two countries. Additionally, I've been asked to inform you that our consortium of defense exports is also eager to supply the Hellenic Armed Forces and we are hopeful you will continue to stick with German quality. Lastly, our investment ministry is hopeful to acquire a stake in the Port of Piraeus and provide assistance in investments to expand the Port's capacity."

The ambassador replied with a chuckle "I guess that's good too. I think I speak for all of Greece that we thank you for investment in our military." he looked baffled at the fact that he looked old-fashioned in front of a valuable nation's minister. "I'm sorry for that. I'm new to this job." He changes his look to normal

"We look forward to business with our Greek counterparts." The Director said before continuing. "Your gray hair speaks to wisdom," she said with a smile. "Alongside other agenda items, I hope that I can gather your government's view on the following topics." She said as read from a list.

  • European Integration through renewed EU Talks
  • German Investment and acquiring stake in the Port of Piraeus
  • German-Greek Trade Agreement

"I think Greeks would like all of those topics. Then again, I'm not all of us," he said with a smile. "let us start with the first on the list."
