Heads of the Royal Navy have confirmed the return of the Response Force Task Group, or RFTG for short. Designed not unlike the Carrier Strike Groups used by America, except the RFTG is an adaptable force that has an underlying structure that'll allow it to respond to any event on a support role, from air strikes to humanitarian support to anti-terrorism, but has the flexibility for other ships and units from the entirety of the British Armed Forces to be assigned to it, allowing it to turn from a peacetime patrol to a full Expeditionary Force. Initial Preparations have begun of the Fleet with crews saying farewells to family, loading up supplies and equipment, the helicopters and F-35 Complements setting off from their home stations to board the aircraft. The RFTG's first assignments were to be travelling from the United Kingdom to the Mediterranean to participate in Exercise Soaring which would test the Response Forces ability on securing an enemy airfield which will, in this case, be RAF Akrotiri in the Western Sovereign base area before continuing it's patrol through the Suez Canal and towards Diego Garcia. Following completion of preparations, the newfound Response Force would immediately set off: IO>IN>IM>JM>KM

The Response Force Task Group had arrived off the coast of the British Soverign Territory in Cyprus, ensuring to remain within International Waters, holding it's position that confirmed the beginning of an exercise that would see a combined effort of Royal Marines and the Fleet Air Arm carry out an annexation of an operating enemy air field, in this case, that was RAF Akrotiri. This exercise was to be conducted and ensure no mistakes led any British Assets into Cyprus itself with blanks and training systems utilised. Specific instructors with the fleet had been delivered to the RAF Base on the two Merlin Helicopters with supplies to set up the exercise parameters, targets and objectives that were to be specific for the exercise with the intent to begin within days. The Exercise would last a few days before the fleet made for Diego Garica, an ISAF Base in the Indian Ocean.

The Response Force Task Group, containing an aircraft carrier, destroyer, two frigates and a submarine; supported by a Wave Class Tanker, had arrived and spent a few weeks at Diego Garcia. Giving the fleet chance to resupply, of course, the vessels maintained a safe position and porting if applicable; not taking any risks. The command center on Diego Garcia was informed of the fleets presence, along with other ISAF Member states given it was prominently an ISAF facility. The RFTG were to remain present for the next few days, giving sailors and crews a chance to have a bit of a break on the base before departing to return back to the Mediterranean, the primary post for the task groups stationing to give it access to the Asian region, and Atlantic Ocean.
