The Prince Sovereign would give a speech from the study of his residence in Bourges, which would be broadcast to multiple newscasters in France and around the world. He would be sitting behind his desk, and this would immediately be reminiscent of oval-office speeches reserved for truly solemn and important occasions.
"Good Evening. Tonight It grieves me to announce that the Kingdom of Belgium has engaged an armed invasion of the High Kingdom of France. They struck the High Kingdom without warning and began an occupation of French towns and cities, including that of Lille. In response, at 2115 Local Time, this evening, Air and Naval Forces have begun a massive, coordinated attack, with the intention of crippling and destroying the Belgian Ability to make war with France. This is evident in the targets chosen. We have, in a decapitory strike, destroyed their main military base and ministry of defense compound in Brussels. Furthermore, we have destroyed the three runways at Brussels Airport, which is a possible launching point for airstrikes against France, and a possible bridgehead for any outside support coming to the Belgians. Our navy has engaged in a massive missile assault on the Belgian Naval Forces at Zeebrugge, one that is expected to utterly destroy their ability to make war on the high seas. Finally, we have begun massive military operations against their military forces on and across the border, engaging with their tank and APC forces, and destroying utterly their Artillery forces as they attempted to move across the border into place. These targets were chosen, and our aircraft used guided munitions, specifically to avoid the unnecessary loss Belgian civilians, with whom we have no quarrel."
The Prince would stiffen up, attempting to increase his size just a little to give an air of confidence and determination.
"This is to send a message to the Belgian Government. We will not be bullied, and we will not stand idly by as your military forces invade our lands. We also will not settle for proportionate responses and meeting on your terms. If you intend to make war with us, we will make war in the best way we know how - with overwhelming force. We will continue this war until your forces are removed from our lands and their arms are laid down and remanded into French Custody. We will accept no terms less than these. Should this war continue, France shall engage in operations with the express purpose of destroying, for the indefinite future, the entirety of Belgium's ability to make war. I offer you this one chance, and I would suggest you take it.
Thank You, and Good Night."
