Subject: Diplomatic Discussions
Dear Prince Bahrām-e Čūbīn,
I extend the warmest greetings from the people and government of Afghanistan to you.
I write to you during these challenging times with a sense of urgency and brotherhood. The recent and tragic events of the terror attack in London have reverberated around the world, casting a shadow upon the name of Islam and its true teachings. As followers of a faith rooted in peace, compassion, and justice, we must rise above these misconceptions and demonstrate to the global community that Islam is not the world's adversary but rather a source of harmony and enlightenment.
To this end, I humbly propose that our nations open a new chapter of communication and collaboration as neighbours and spiritual kin. Afghanistan and Iran have long shared deep bonds, and together, we can forge a united front of like-minded Islamic nations, striving to embody and showcase the principles of Islam that align with peace and cooperation. By doing so, we can actively challenge the narratives that misrepresent our faith and demonstrate the unity and strength inherent in our shared values.
I propose arranging a formal meeting between our respective offices to discuss this matter in detail. Such an occasion would allow us to explore avenues for greater collaboration, whether through mutual support in combating extremism or joint initiatives to promote the true message of Islam on the world stage.
May Allah guide our efforts and bless our nations.
Sincerely,
Yusuf Agha,
Minister of Foreign Affairs
