If we are weak, our country will be in jeopardy. It is the living lesson of human history of the rise and fall of nations. In order for a country not to fall, it must cultivate its own strength.

Defense Security Command
Secret Meeting between Generals Lee Jiyoung, Park Jesun, and Commander Lee Wogyong
Subject Matter: Unknown

As the year came to a close, and the turbulent winds of communism and its resurgent backers took hold across Europe, a modem of unease at set over the Korean Peninsula. As the country boasted large financing projects towards civilian projects and infrastructure and steadily advanced its defense industry, the significant decrease in parity since the mid-1990s between the North and Republic of Korea had become too considerable to ignore. Disgruntled Army members had planned in the aftermath of the crisis of 1997, had planned to step in before the remaining civilian leadership restored the democratic principles of the country. It however, had yet to disarm the army groups seeking to restore the military rule that had led the Republic into progress, development, and prosperity. Or so they had led themselves believe. The Liberalist taking was to them equivalent to a communist-backed regime taking power. As a number of army leaders had been removed months ago, it was a concern that the Army was under scrutiny and inspection for factions that had supported the military government of Presidents Chun and Roh who were now facing death sentences. To say the least, the political protests that were slowly increasing in Seoul would support the pretext for the officers of the Defense Security Command

The Generals would arrive at the Defense Security Command quietly in private vehicles with tints. Their only identifying mark of being official vehicles of the ROK Army Command. Each of the generals would exit their vehicles at different times over the day, and another officer taking their place in the vehicle to wave off any intelligence monitoring of their movements. They would enter the office of Commander of the Defense Security Command and sit comfortably as they discussed the situation in Seoul. The office staff would not be present as they would be off on an unexpected exercise in officer training and strategic policy. Commander Lee welcomed General Park as they sat down and took off their hats, taking a glass of water from the commander as they waited for General Lee. After a while, General Lee would enter, taking his seat as they began the discussion.

Commander Lee Wogyong [Commander of the Defense Security Command]: “Thank you for coming Generals. I think we’ve all seen the protests in Seoul, and the opposition boycotts…it looks like the communists in government have gotten their hands full.

General Lee [Commander of the Northern Capital Defense]: “Commander Lee, pleasure as always.”

General Park [Commander of the White Horse Division]: “Gentlemen.”

Commander Lee Wogyong [Commander of the Defense Security Command]: “Well then, the current situation appears to be offering the opportunity that we missed in 1997 when President Yong was removed from power. Now that his people are out on the streets demanding he be reinstated…tipping the security situation to deteriorate could help us justify imposing martial law and restoring the institutions of governance. Least to say, since Vice Chief Kim was removed, the number of army officers becoming disgruntled has grown. Based on the groups assessment, it appears that the corruption scandals from July of 1997 have come to a close with lots of arrests of Yong’s backers and friends. It is offering the conservatives form political power to raise the stakes against Kim and his government.”

General Lee [Commander of the Northern Capital Defense]: “Yes, it has given us the opportunity to strike and bring the country back into stable leadership and growth. It is shameful how low this country has come, and if we do not act quick enough, the communists will open the door for their northern allies to invade us and take over. The state of emergency allows us the discretion to begin moving troops around the country. Our only issue is the Southern Defense Command at Busan. What are the chances General Kim [Jieun of 2nd Operations Command] would not challenge us?”

General Park [Commander of the White Horse Division]: “Unlikely he wouldn’t challenge us. There are rumors that the President is shifting 35,000 troops out of Commander Lee’s Defense Command and transferring them to the Busan Command Zone. Under 2nd GOC. The Joint Command Force also is made up of officers whom we do not know for certain would support us. If they decided to redirect the forces from 2GOC and GOC does not fully support the operation by The Defense Security Command, then we could see a power struggle. Not to mention, the Air Force and Navy would never allow us to hold power. They saw what happened under President Park and them slowly being moved out of the equation as the focus was army central. They also say some foreign advisors are telling the Blue House to prioritize a coastal defense instead of a ground-based defense of the DMZ.”

Commander Lee Wogyong [Commander of the Defense Security Command]: “Fucking idiots. Who is giving this advice, Fiji? This is why the military should be in charge again. We know how to do things when it comes to the national defense and progress. We should have never given power back in the 1980s…President Chun should’ve sent the tanks in.”

General Lee [Commander of the Northern Capital Defense]: “Let’s not be stupid Commander. We are not personalists or power-hungry men. To be frank. I could care less about becoming President. However, I am driven by my responsibility to this state, our people, and the Korean race. We have sworn a duty to this country. We will not become another Kim Dynasty, the military rule is the only safeguard from a communist invasion. Like the Trojan horse than opened the gates of Troy for the Greek Invaders, Kim will sneak the communists in, and before we know it, our homeland will be lost to us as the Japanese had done before. “

Commander Lee Wogyong [Commander of the Defense Security Command]: “Yes General. Watching his words carefully as he spoke. What exactly can we expect from the Army Chief, I know he has not been extremely happy with the ousting of the previous Army Chief, nor with the efforts of the Kim government to undermine the Armies central role in defense. Including giving the Navy control of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Combined Defense Command.”

General Park [Commander of the White Horse Division]: “Unknown, however, it is unlikely he will also back a coup explicitly. Perhaps, if the coup were to occur, and he felt inclined, he could disarm the 2nd GOC and place their forces under your command. He could also move troops out of the Busan Command of 2nd GOC and place them back on the DMZ. The State of Alert has given him a handful of powers to move forces, however, the Chairman would see the movements and raise issues. We do know that the Navy and Air Force have benefited mostly from these recent efforts in air purchases and naval expansions. Of course, at the expense of the Ground Forces. Still, the majority of the armored units are under the command of officers we do not know would support us. Similarly, the airborne and marine units are outside of the command structure of our forces. If you managed to retake command of GOC, we could have greater leverage over the officer corps and major combat divisions. The General would get a pager notice as he was requested back at the Field Command for the Division. I have to return to the field. The Division is getting some new units that are being moved. Also, a friend from the Army Academy who is in the Chairmans office told me that they are planning to restructure the armed forces in the next four months in the new White Paper. I suggest you begin promoting and demoting officers accordingly. This may give us the option to strike.”

The other two would wave the General off as he left and secretly left the base. Stopping at a restaurant to eat a quick lunch, taking his credit card from his personal aid who had gone around buying some gifts for his wife while they both ate lunch. Leaving behind a paper trail of his location. The two remaining officers began discussing much more closer aspects now that General Park and left, including the make up of the Temporary Army Council, the military officials that needed to be arrested, and the important infrastructure to target. Both working out the impact and fall out from the move, but also the likelihood of an intervention. Noting the recent collapse of the American global order would give Korea the ability to resurge without limitations form the Americans who had long controlled Korea’s defense and political institutions.

Defense Security Command
Secret Meeting between Generals Lee Jiyoung, Park Jesun, and Commander Lee Wogyong
Subject Matter: Unknown

It was another chilly day in Seoul as the New Year cold winds continued to sweep across the country. In the Defense Security Command, officers and troops had returned, with over 58,000 troops directly the Command Zone to be used in the defense of Seoul during an attack, and another 15,000 stationed on the outskirts to provide assistance and relief. It was without a doubt, Commander Lee held significant military strength to authorize actions for the national defense...but also his own personal ambitions. The Officers would choose January 15th as the day to meet, largely because General Park had told the group President Kim was leaving for Argentina on the 14th, and so were a number of top advisors. Additionally, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs would be inspecting the DMZ on January 15th and 16th to oversee the rebuilding efforts. They arrive as they had last time, in different batches and would switch out with other officers. General Park arrived first, and sat in the Commanders office looking at some ornaments he had on his wall, one from the U.S. Army War College and some other American military institutions, and inspected his personal files on the desk, putting them down as he heard footsteps and walked back to where his briefcase was laid.

General Lee & Commander Lee walked in after, and greeted General Park. The Commander would open his private safe and place some of the personal files, and the files Generals Park and Lee handed him. Closing it and hiding it behind the false wall in the office before joining the two Generals and offering them some tea, which General Park politely refused. The office was busy with military officers who were conducting a war-game, simulating recently approved Operational Plans against North Korea. They would be busy and the Commander's aide was sent out to check into an issue at the Incheon Airfield over a data-error. Commander Lee adjusted his buttons on his uniform as he sat comfortably.
"Generals. “Thank you for coming again. Our defense attache in New Delhi has...given us some interesting developments." He would say before General Park interrupted him. "Before this revelation, I have something else to discuss." He interjected, agitating Commander Lee. "Chief Secretary Kim at the Blue House seems to support our interests"... General Lee's brows raised as he looked at his friend. "You didn't tell that bureaucratic hack...." General Park shook his head "No, but, he seems to have an idea of the Army's factions. Who told him, I don't know. But, during my meetings with the Army Chief and Chief Secretary, he slipped me the files on Argentina and the Army Reforms. Of course, nothing was said, and I photocopied the files before handing them back saying he made a mistake. But...we need to be careful, while we also have a new opportunity and options." Commander Lee would stroke his chin...although no facial hair, it was his general posture when thinking. "Thank you for the information General Park...I think we now have a better opportunity to quietly interject power. I believe...we could, have the Chief Secretary realign the Cabinet Ministers for a noice and politically inexperienced minister, and after Kim is removed...we could manipulate the situation with General Lee's contacts in the Media. Not to mention...I have had the White Horse division moved from Busan Permitter to the DMZ, so we can force the North to react." Both Generals would be a little concerned with Commander Lee's assessment. They would still consider this amongst their other options. The President's overseas visit could give them the opportunity to maneuver before his return. General Lee would switch gears and move back to the original discussion. "Commander Lee, you were saying something earlier?" Commander Lee pulled out a file from his briefcase and put in front of the generals. "The military attache in India intercepted some diplomatic cables, with the President giving his support to the legalization of the CPI." General Lee would sigh, as he read the paper. "Fucking idiot...FUCKING IDIOT." He would stand up throwing the paper. "What is...WHAT IS HE THINKING?...Isn't this what the Chairman and his Ministers should be stoping him from? He's cutting our tails here, and then supporting communists abroad. General Park would still read the cables before putting them down. "Still...." General Lee would look at General Park. "Don't Park." General Park stared back..."Still. Let's not let emotions get ahead of us. What we need is a clear plan. Not some fantasy you two have cocked up and expect to work. We need to work with others...the three of us can't take over this country, much less govern it."

Commander Lee would see the moment to interrupt the two bickering. "Let's bring the Chief Secretary. At the very least, let's shake up the Blue House and put pressure. I am sure there are some corrupt files on the Kim Family...which we could leak and upend his anti-corruption charges...if we put the right person in. We could watch the whole system fall." The other two would not be too sure about this ambitious plan, both frightened over the NIS catching on and coming after them. They would still, see a viable option. General Park would stand up "You two figure it out. If we go with the original plan, we will need to move quicker than expected. The 2nd GOC is going to be reinforced with a large number of anti-tank, armored vehicle, and IFV capabilities. The faster their capacities grow, the more you will need General Kwon Jiesun's support. We all know how that will turn out...I need to go smoke" General Park would grab his hat and leave the office, going outside for a smoke. He tried lighting his cigarette, but the damn wind refused to cooperate. He would sigh as he threw the cigarette into the ground and slowly inhaled and exhaled. As he stayed outside, he would be joined by General Lee who came outside joined General Park.

"Having second thoughts?" General Lee asks as he hands the General a lit cigarette, General Park took it and puffed out some smoke "No. But, I am concerned with Commander Lee's personal ambitions." He thought for a second, before puffing out more smoke "We can't go back to the Park-era. We need to move forward. Defending this country and its democracy should be our duty. Not personal ambitions." General Lee would sigh, simply nodding his head. "Did you ever think you would see the day we would elect a communist?...Fighting for our very survival...he would laugh How ironic...where we made our last stand at Busan, today looks like the new borders of the ROK when he opens the gates to let them in." General Park would just shake his head. "Is he a communist?" General Lee would look at Park. "What?" General Park stood up and looked at his friend. "Is he really a communist...or do we just justify our actions by that?" General Lee would just stand there, looking at General Park. "Jesun...what are you talking about...Look at him. Look at his policies. LOOK. What democrat would support legalizing the communist party? What happens when he legalizes it here, and the North funds it to overthrow our government form within? What then? Do we put down our badges of valor and join the communist dictatorship?" Park would throw the cigarette already finished onto the ground. "I don't know. I don't know Jiyoung. But, I do know, we must protect our democracy. That is what we fight for now. We can't go back to military rule...we can't." Park would move to go back inside before General Lee grabbed his arm. "If you believe in this democracy, then you'll stand up to the tyrant that is in charge now." General Lee would let go of his arm and walk back into the Commanders office as Park kicked over some snow as he went back inside. Commander Lee would smile as the two returned. "Generals, I think that our previous plan can be amended to serve a less bloody transition. If, we can neutralize President Kim and have an acting-President conditioned for our needs, we can achieve a lot more and suffer much less foreign pressure. If you think, we can convince the Chief Secretary...it would be a major victory. If we have him, we wouldn't have to worry about the Army Chief." General Park would simply nod. "I'll speak with the Chief Secretary tomorrow. But...we need to think this out." Commander Lee would hand over a number of plans including generals and politicians they could expect to support them, as well as the previous discussed ideas.

Seoul, Republic of Korea

A group of men in black suits followed a man in a blue suit and overcoat carrying a brown brief case. The men waited in a black Hyundai Equus as the man entered a store and sat down for coffee. The men took photos of the man and waited for him to meet whom ever he was suppose too. As they waited, not much would happen. A waitress took his order, as she took his order one of the men entered the store to monitor things from inside. The waitress returned with a tray of black coffee, and nothing else. The man inside took a seat adjacent to the person they were following. Inside the cafe, the wooden interior and rusty interior design gave it a pre-modern vibe, with a fireplace warming the entire room. The agent would get up to order a coffee, glancing back to man occasionally. Before getting his coffee, a woman in a black skirt white blouse would accidentally knock into the man he was suppose to watch, spilling her papers over the floor. She would curse under her breathe as she picked up her papers, apologizing to the man as she picked up her papers. Grabbing his coffee, the man watching him would take his seat next to them as he heard the man telling the woman to be careful next time. He said as he pulled his brief case closer to himself.

Another fifteen minutes would pass before the man would pack his things and go outside. Putting on his jacket, he paid his bill and left. As he opened the door, the reminder of the winter cold filled the room as it battled the fire from the fire place. The men outside would follow the guy as he they drove slowly behind him. Following him to an old tunnel path. They would wait a couple of minutes as they received a call from their superiors that it was him. The high-value team that had been following him earlier were monitoring his conversation near the dockyards, they had been given orders to intercept it and neutralize the target.

Sometime Earlier

A small tactical squad would be deployed, they would use a listen devise they had set up near the dockyard to monitor the conversation from a close distance. They would see two men conversing, the same man in a blue business jacket jacket was a couple of feet away from another man in a black overcoat who’s face was obscured from the debris from the cargo around him. The team would be able to pick up points of conversation.

A group of vehicles arrived at the dockyard as men looking like security offices got out, and a man in a black overcoat stepped out and began walking to the man in the blue jacket. His Security Detail followed and would watch the area around them possible hoping to maintain the utmost secrecy. They also spotted some plain clothes men most likely with the security detail ushering some workers away.

Kim Il-jung [Unknown Affiliation]: “Chairmen….thanks you fo…your hard work. We will def…these…cap….igs.”

Kim Sung-il [Unknown Affiliation]: “Thank you sir…ored…to be in the ser….lic….I hope to be of service in the future. The listening machine had finally been able to circumnavigate the electronic wave issues. I know the information will be of much use to you. I will make sure it gets exactly where it needs to go. However, we must be careful…I think…he said as he looked around. The crows are beginning to gather.”

Kim Il-jung [Unknown Affiliation]: “I see. Don’t worry. You have friends back here. We won’t forget your service. The man in the black suit said as he moved closer to the man in the blue suit. Seemingly handing him something. I trust you will do what is necessary.”

Kim Sung-il [Unknown Affiliation]: “Yes sir.” The men on the other side of the docks would take photos of the man in the black overcoat now getting somewhat of a clearer shot of him. They would store it for use. As the two men departed, they would be informed that they were to take the package and neutralize their target.

Back to present

Following the man in the blue business jacket as he walked briskly to the tunnel. As he crossed into it and walked towards the beaming light on the other side, a group of men would surround him. Looking bewildered…before realizing what was happening he would turn tail and sprint to the other side only be be enriched by the men who had been trailing him. He was pushed onto the ground where one of the men pulled out a silenced handgun.

Kim Jaeseon: “All traitors in our history meet the same end. He pulled his gun closer to the mans head and pulled the trigger as he said, In the grave.” He wiped his handgun muttering communist fuck as he opened the mans brief case…his eyes grew as the papers were just blanks….he searched frantically across the files. “Sir…they aren’t here.”

Back at the cafe, the young girl would sit on the bench like chairs, connecting a number of tables together. A man would sit next to her, wearing a grey sweater and not paying any attention to her. Not showing any emotions, she would get up as she left behind a small package. The man pulled it out would order a coffee, seemingly pulling the same documents from his bag, confirmed the title Operational Invasion Plans for North Korea, flipping through the files and confirming its authenticity. He placed it back and after getting his coffee got up and left.

Demilitarize Zone
Secret Meeting between General Lee Jiyoung, Commander Lee Wogyong, and Deputy Chief Presidential Secretary Han Myeonsoo
Subject Matter: Unknown

Deputy Chief Secretary Han Myeonsoo would arrive at the Army Forward Command Center near the Demilitarized Zone. Officially there to oversee the implementation of new guidelines for handling defectors, he would be led by General Lee to a forward bunkered command center usually used for communications and relaying intelligence to other centers to ensure the secured flow of information during an attack by the North.

The Deputy Secretary would be led into an isolated portion of the bunker where Commander Lee would have been waiting. The Commander had entered the bunker a while earlier quietly as to not draw any attention to himself. Sitting border inside the isolated office inside the bunker, he was slowly getting irritated before the door opened and General Lee walked in with another man. He would extend his hand as he shaked hands with he Deputy Secretary he would look at General Lee.
"Where is General Park?" the General would sit behind the desk opening the safe before responding. "He is handling other matters at the moment." taking out a document of senior officers General Park had been convincing to side with them. Commander Lee would smile seeing the list growing, still, all the officers were army officers, meaning the marine commander and Youngsam airbase commander had not yet been convinced. Commander Lee would clear his throat, before General Lee nodded and allowed him to speak. "We are make more substantial grounds sir. However, I believe we can avoid the image of overthrowing an elected official through...political maneuvering. Deputy Secretary Han, I believe the Chief Secretary ha...he would be cut off by the Deputy Secretary. "What is it Commander Lee?" the civil servant asked, not really inclined to listen to some flattery, hoping to keep the meeting as short as possible to avoid being caught. "I think we should make this meeting as short as possible." He smiled as he leaned back and unbuttoned his jacket. "What does the Chief Secretary propose?" Commander Lee asked leaned forward staring at the Deputy Secretary. "Let's be honest here. The country, and the globe are not interested in another authoritarian state coming into power. Much less here in Korea. Not to mention, you would only destabilize the country. Let us say, that we are hopeful, if you were too remove the President, then...our backers would be willing to accommodate your needs and visions." General Lee listened with interest while Commander Lee's face showed disappointment and disproval of the plan. "I take it you are not a good matgo player Commander. Your face says it all." The Commander would shake his head as he responded. "Why would we go through all this hassle just to let the bureaucracy take over. What the country needs is not civil inefficiency but military efficiency in charge." Secretary Han would laugh as the Commander spoke, further irritating the Commander. "I take it you are the man who wants to sit in the iron throne." Only able to smile in the face of the angered Commander "Commander Lee, let me give you some advice. No one who enters the Blue House leaves it peacefully...your like-minded...friends can tell you that. Look, you want a practical solution? We can arrange a cabinet shift to put into place a novice cabinet official with no political experience. I am sure that you guys could create some chaos and we could leak things that would make the acting-government look chaotic and inefficient. If you truly want to enter the devilish office that is. Otherwise, we can keep our benign benefactor or replace him with someone you and my friends find agreeable." General Lee would respond before the hot headed Lee could interject. "I think this is an interesting proposal." He said glancing over to Commander Lee who sat back. "To be frank Deputy Secretary, I have no interest in running this country. Too many stupid things, getting approvals, going to different self-interested politicians who care little of selling out the country for money or votes, and dealing with the civil servants. I prefer the military style, top-down command execute structure. Who do you have in mind?" Secretary Han would hesitate for a second, before speaking "We have a couple, but we're looking to make the Environmental and Education Ministers deputy prime ministers, making them 3 & 4th in succession. Both are political novices and come from purely academic backgrounds, idealists really. But, we know that we can morph to execute certain policies. At least until the special election, in which case...we will either push them to run or pick someone else. Like I said, we would do this as partners." General Lee would take the list put it back into the safe, with some notes written on it. "I find this plan better...less messy. In truth, I want this country to go back to the path of economic growth, development, and security. The hand-over to civilians was messy and devastating and our armed forces suffered. If you stay true to your word Secretary Han, we will do our end. But remember...we are not politicians, if you double cross us...there are consequences." He would lead the Secretary out, leaving Commander Lee inside for a couple of minutes. As they were going outside, the Secretary would speak to the General. "Your friend there is a liability. He is power hungry, leaning in closer to the General You may have noble goals...but your friend won't think twice before he seizes power. With the Defense Command under him, I am worried." General Lee would smile as he led the Secretary outside. "I will control my men. Make sure yours do their part. We want the army to get the priority it needs, the weapons, platforms, personnel, etc..." The Secretary would smile as well. "And your fair share of the state pie." Nodding in agreement, the General would make sure the Secretary got to his car and left to inspect DMZ outposts and fortifications on the Demarcation Line. General Lee would go back to the private office to speak with Commander Lee.

Commander lee would immediately stand up and in a not so pleasant tone refute the General's statements.
"General Lee, why did you agree t...to that sliming bureaucratic shit and...their meddling in...UGH! I bet Park is working with them. That tre..." General Lee would slam his fist into the table. "Watch your tongue Commander. If you think you can run this country, take your men and march onto the Blue House right now. You have the manpower, do it...You can't govern a nation alone. As long as we are the men with the real power in the relationship, the relationships will not be balanced. I'd advise you watch your tone. General Park still has a sense of duty and is not blinded by power hungry tendencies like you...I think you would be better off taking some lessons from him." General Lee shaking his head, throwing a folder at the Commander. "You better take care of this." The Commander looking concerned, but also mad as he saluted the General and made a speedy return to the Defense Security Command.

1998.03.16, Demilitarized Zone, South of the Demarkation Line

An alarm would ring across the Southern portion of the Demilitarized Zone as armed soldiers across the perimeter stayed on alert, there was no apparent erratic movement by the North, however, the troops remained vigilant. At the Joint Security Area, nothing would move, Korean soldiers staring down their Northern counterpart and not flinching or running, there was no indication or sign of weakness amongst troops there. On the other portions of the demilitarized zone, troops aimed their rifles and checked their machine gun nests as they stared down one of the globes most heavily defended borders. South Korean officers would rush to the site of the alarm trigger, as they arrived, they would find a whole large enough to move people through, quickly sending an alert to the Operational Command of the breach...and infiltrators.

It would not be long before hundreds of troops would descend onto the area of concern, and thousands operating miles behind it searching for the infiltrators. The South Korean troops at the JSA and other points would be on high alert as the military feared a possible infiltration unit sent to conduct operations against the South. The Chain of Command would immediately lock down the premises and set up cordons...however, it is still unclear...did something or someone enter...or did they leave?

1998.03.16, Demilitarized Zone, South of the Demarkation Line

South Korean troops under the 8th and 36th Infantry Divisions would be tasked with apprehending the infiltrators. In total, 3,500 Korean soldiers would be searching sector 8 of the demilitarized zone while 1,000 policemen patrolled the nearby towns and villages and blocked off major roads. Operating discreetly, 60 members of the 707th SMB were tasked with neutralizing the infiltrators. While the manhunt was underway, the ROK Army Chief of Staff hastily organized a training exercise to mask the major operation and justify closing roads and movements of troops.

Across the demilitarized zone, an effort to maintain face and not indicate anything was happening was kept across all sectors and regular patrols and fence-checks were organized. A number of soldiers had been reprimanded for failing to notice the breach as well as officers responsible for the alarms and countermeasures of the sectors. Troops would check drainage pipes, underground infrastructure, and mountainous areas where North Korean infiltrators would often slip through.

At the Ground Operational Command, General Jeon Jyeongkyeong would summon his subordinate command staff as the Chief of the Army was set to arrive at his command center. The situation has quite quickly escalated and not helped by recent media attention against the military. The Subordinate Command of the Operational Command would assemble including Generals Lee Jiyoung, Kim Hayoon, Lee Gyeongsu, Kim Kwanjin, Kim Taeyoung, and Commander Kim Jangsu. The officers would assemble at the Forward Command Center coordinating the demilitarized zone security sectors and response forces.

The Ground Operational Command would frantically be trying to coordinate their resources, liaison with the police and NIS, and build a trail to where the infiltrates came from and what their mission was. The NIS would sent a handful of its analytical and investigation units to inspect the breach. Equipped with both the intelligence of prior infiltrations, testimonies, and captured tools and equipment. The different agencies would be working to cooperate with one another. Still, the Blue House would not be able to avoid this issue, nor would it help with the grilling of the opposition and media of their defense policies.

Defense Security Command
Commander Lee Wogyong

Commander Lee would be in his office after he finished a phone call with General Nam of the Army Staff. His staff seemingly immune to his mood swings continued their work upgrading the recent plans for anti-missile defenses at key weapon locations as Commander Lee's laughter could be heard outside. Commander Lee could only laugh as General Lee's plan to have an infiltration incident at the demilitarized zone not only caused the alarm at the GOC, it put General Jeon and other commanders not supporting them on thin ice. As well as allowing the group to pin the blame on the assassination on the North. He could only laugh at his superiors stroke of geniuses. In his fit of overjoy, his very calculated mind would not see through the breaches in the plan. Nor the fact that his own command had been breached days prior.

Still, he would be happy with the slowly incorporating actions of the group. He however, would not be naive to trust the bureaucratic secretariat and had been secretly courting his own faction within the growing group of supporters. Opening his private safe, he took out a list of names as he called the Commander of one of the army divisions he had known from before. As the army recognization was underway, removing generals in opposition and replacing them with supporters was critical. Commander Lee would not waste this crucial opportunity. For him, he had no intention of letting the secretariat take over the government...no...he would become the one to rule the Peninsula.

1998.03.18, Outskirts of Seoul, Republic of Korea
A group of men would walk into a small little house on the of Seoul. Coming through the mountains, the small group of four men wearing plain clothes would walk alongside the road as they entered the safe house. The operatives would open the closed compartments in the basement, taking our a handful of weapons. The squad leader would put in a pin-code he had received from his commanders and would take out a satellite phone. Using it to dial his commanders, he would inform them that the team was in. As they secured the premise, the mission leader would take watch first. His men would get some rest as he used the time to check their weapons and listen to to the quiet atmosphere of the South. How foolish he thought, a society living in peace on a false sense of security. He wondered how quickly that illusion and facade would last if it was shaken. Would it collapse like a house of cards or be cracked like a stone.

The unit had not been informed of the full scope of their operation. Still. They were dedicated to their mission and their country. This was a necessary operation for the future and the stability of the status quo on the Peninsula. As the night went on, the different men of the small unit would alternate their watch. They did their best to keep the secrecy of their arrival and avoided using any lights or flames. Sitting idly in the dark shadows of the house and the confines of the rooms secluded from the windows and doors. As dawn yearned over the mountains and peaked over, the they would take their gear and move out of the house. Making sure to leave the untamed grounds, the insides of the house, and exterior untouched to give the appearance no one had been there. They would open a chart with different locations marked that needing scouting and investigating. As well as secured orders about their target and timeline. Setting out on their own ways, they would agree to meet up at night at a rendezvous location before heading back to the house.

1998.03.20 Seoul, Republic of Korea

The next couple of days were both harsh and unforgiving. The peninsula was struck by unexpected rains and floods that trashed and turned the peninsula. For the black operations team the storm would mean that their communications with their superiors would not only be knocked out, but unable to be restored. The rains and flash floods struck without warning. At least they could rest easy that night. Even if the sound of the storm crashed against the broken windows in the house, seeping into the house and through the flooring, the ROK Army would also temporarily halt their pursuit. The unit would have to act with autonomy and execute their operation, relying on their skills and training to get them through. As the dark and gloomy night faded into the bright sunlight, they would quickly depart toward the mountain and begin scaling it. Having changed into hiking gear that most of the South Koreans would be wearing, they blended into the population at ease as they climbed the mountain. Arousing no suspicion or any hint of nefariousness as they interacted with locals climbing the mountain and even assisting a police officer who had been chasing some man harassing a group of women near the peak of the mountain. The group would split into two teams of two as they slipped out of the sight of the CCTV cameras and into the unmarked trail downwards from the peak. The overcast clouds would not be seen as the cover of the green trees engulfed. Neither would any drones or aerial surveillance be able to track them as they moved down the forest. As the group began to scale down, they would have to slow the pace and fan out. As they neared their objective, they could see the blue tiles of the seat of Korean politics...the Blue House. Yet, they had to be more cautious for they had entered the turf of the Presidential Security Service...

1998.03.20 Blue House, Seoul, Republic of Korea
The Presidential Security Service had been patrolling the other side of the mountain that had led to the Blue House. The area off-limit to climbers and unauthorized personnel, the majority of the area was equipped with motion censors and cameras hidden in the trees and bushes to monitor the area. The security equipment could usually withstand the rain storms and snow, however, often they would dispatch teams to inspect the equipment after storms. The Service would the inspecting the different censors and surveillance equipment while holding back any patrols of the fringes of the mountain due to fears of a surge in rain and possible harm to agents. Still, the closer to the Blue House the more difficult it would be to cross as the service covered a large stretch of territory with security and countermeasures.

It would be practically impossible to use the front entrance as the 1968 raid had failed to accomplish. The entire road was he blocked off by the ROK Army and Police and the path towards the Blue House requiring security IDs and checks. Being able to scout out the premise or launch an attack would be difficult. It is perhaps best characterized, the Blue House is the most secured building in all of Asia with layers of defensive equipment, surface to air missile sites, sniper nests, soldiers and police guarding the premise, and the natural terrain around it that made it difficult to assault.

As the team reached their designated rendezvous point, it would begin to pour as the rain slammed into the ground. Each drop felt like a small pebble as it bounded onto the team. While the P.S.S. would begin moving towards the front permitter of the rear defenses, the agents would not be able to catch a break as the ground became unsteady around them. They would still persist and reach their area as they set up a surveillance post and tried to capture imagery and photos of the Blue House. However, the defenses around the permitter made it difficult, the natural trees and also those planted inside the Blue House courtyards covered the essential premises. Any attack from range would be obscured and untenable, to be able to strike would require a kinetic strike against with the target being mobile.

They would hastily pack up their equipment and gear as the sound of dogs and patrols escaped through the sound of the deafening thunder and crashing raindrops. Damn it the point man said as the P.S.S. had noticed something on the censors and quickly sent a patrol out in the rain. He and his marker would quickly rush away, whistling like a bird as they notified the other team that they needed to extract. They rushed up the mountain, making up for they hastily yet diligent packing and exhilaration by rushing across the uphill slope. Unfortunately the rain had softened the soil and the topsoil became porous, the rain building up beneath and softening the terrain. The water-saturated rock, earth, and debris began to buckle and as the black ops team scaled the mountain, one of the team members would succumb to the weakened ground. The influence of gravity over the saturated and now weakened terrain made it slippery and one of the team members would come crashing down and be covered in the mud. Gasping for air as the mud covered him and besieged him. The watery solvent would drown the operative as his comrades with their bare hands clawed through. By the time they had reached their comrade his lifeless body and eyes devoid of light was all that remained. Yet, there was no time to mourn. The barking of dogs and boots of armed soldiers sounded across the terrain...they were being hunted. Grabbing the fallen operative they would carry him and continue their quick run up the mountain.

As the rain began to dissipate and the sound of dogs and men became distant, the operatives would have a moment to catch their breath. It would be risky carrying the body into town and to the safe house and neither could they leave it near the trail where an unknowing person may stumble across it. Deciding the exclusion zone the most optimal and betting the P.S.S would not trek up the steep rocky portion, they quietly buried their comrade. Marking his grave with a small pebble and encribing his name, Liet. Park Jaegyong. Saluting the fallen operative and moving on towards their safe house, the team would be dealt a devastating blow, but no tears could be shed. Their mission and target still remaining.

1998.03.21, Case south of the Blue House, Seoul, Republic of Korea
Chief Presidential Secretary Kim Joongkwon would leave the Blue House with some staff as he took them to a cafe south of the Blue House. He felt the need to give the team some fresh air after the hard work being put in to pass the America - Korea agreement and also arrange the Presidents trip to Argentina. The team never asked for a break or help and he felt it was a small and symbolic gesture of thanks as he cleared his busy schedule for the afternoon and took them to a cafe to grab something to drink and eat and relax. They took public transportation to the nearest stop before getting off and walking the rest of the way. Entering a nice and cozy cafe, forgiving from the cold winds sweeping across the empty streets as the staffers and Chief Secretary rushed across.

The staff would laugh and chat as the Chief Secretary ordered everyones coffee and got them comfortable. Talking with his aides and staffers about things like their pets, how their parents were doing, and even some of their troubles, the staff would be at relative ease. The Chief Secretary could only smile and laugh as they shared stories. They had spent sometime together and had gotten close. The early days of team dinners that were silent and eerie were replaced with nights filled with drinking and cheers that knew no hierarchical boundaries.

After finishing their coffee and small cakes the Chief Secretary would let his team go ahead of him as he covered the bill and made a personal phone call. After making his call he would put on his coat as he left...he had noticed two men who had been following them for a while...but he became certain after sending his staff ahead of him...they were following him. Hoping to stall them and keep his staff safe he was aware of their looks...they were trouble. After making his call he would drag himself out and walk casually. He would however take a turn towards an open street, the men following him.

As he picked up the pace, behind him the two men pulled out their handguns as they quickly moved to grab the Chief Secretary. Knowing he would not be able to outrun them without endangering the people around and knowing that the only thing nearby were high schools and elementary schools...the Chief Secretary would be grabbed and led away from the street. Making sure to knock off the hats of the man grabbing him as he resisted. He would be unable to outmatch what felt like expertise and training of an expert of many years as he was dragged into a corner. The Chief Secretary looked into the eyes of the man holding a handgun in-front of him...staring directly into his eyes..."Fuck your supreme leader" he said as the man pulled the trigger and killed the Chief Secretary. Both men looking down at the now deceased man...For comrade Park they thought as they left the bleeding body. The Chief Secretaries phone buzzing as the two men left... Kim Junoh...NIS...

Someone would report the dead body to the police after stumbling upon in the alleyway. The paramedics who rushed to the scene confirmed the death while the police officers after them secured the area. The police initially thought it was a mugging, when the NIS arrived they would realize this was far more dangerous...they were curious. Was it a spy, or a North Korean infiltrator, they simply didn't know. They didn't do much until the forensic team arrived. Still, a senior officer who would arrive before the forensic team helped the younger officers understand what to do with the body. Once the senior officer checked the deceased's belongings he put them in a special bag to avoid contamination. He picked up the phone to see the missed calls. He took pictures of the scene as he examined the evidence, picking up the wallet with gloves on as he examined it. It was a Blue House employee, he pulled out his badge, Chief Presidential Secretary. He would inform the Chief what was about this. It would not be long before Agent Kim Jun-oh From the NIS and Agent Park Jong-pil from the P.S.S. arrived.

NIS Agent Kim Jun-oh a senior special agent in the intelligence and operations wing of the National Intelligence Services would return in her vehicle. The police were taking their photographs of the murder scene, as a forensics team analyzed the scene and collected evidence. The murder was reported earlier, the police still not fully aware who the victim was until they opened his wallet and found his blue house ID. NIS Agent Kim and the Presidential Security Services would arrive together at the scene as the murder of the man closest to the President was a grave concern. The President had not yet been informed, and the Blue House staffers concerned for their boss were also kept in the dark. Agent Kim sat in car after she had left the scene. Contemplating what had happened. She checked his wallet and his phone, nothing...nothing was taken.

As the P.S.S. looked into past threats, and would have agents investigating persons of interest. The Police looked for evidence nearby while the NIS agent sat in her contemplating what had happened. Agent Kim got out of her car as she walked around the site of the attack. The P.S.S. would've by now secure the entire area for a large cordon while agents from the NIS arrived to assist with the investigation. Agent Kim went to a nearby store which she noted had a CCTV system outside. Showing her badge and asking to see the footage, she watched it for the week to see anything, before arriving on the twenty second. Reviewing the footage, she would make out the Chief Presidential Secretary walking, and then two men following him. She couldn't see their faces...however, as the Presidential Secretary was being grabbed he knocked off the hat of man nearest to him and revealed his face. Agent Kim took photos and a two copies of the footage. Just as she got the footage, two P.S.S. would walk into the store. She handed them the footage, walking out of the store. She got back into her car where she took out her copy of the footage tucked into her pants and covers by her jacket. Taking off the black jacket, she slid the footage under the backseat and covered it with extra papers scattered on the ground. Agent Kim left the scene to return to the NIS to begin her investigation into the men. Meanwhile, the P.S.S. would upgrade security for all officials at the Blue House, whether a calculated assassination or a petty murder, the killing of the Chief Secretary was startling and concerning. Someone would have to inform the President, and no one wanted to be the one to say the failure of the P.S.S. in protecting the government that day. Agent Park from the P.S.S. looked at the deceased body as his subordinate agents secured the nearby footage and interviewed people. Looking at the bullet wounds...they were calculated, to kill instantly. There was a struggle...as the secretaries hair and face were ruffled...it did not look like an interrogation, but he couldn't rule out they took information from him. He could tell this as an assassination, he would have to investigate further.

The agents ran. Their footsteps echoing across the wet ground. Their shoes muddy and wet. The coldness bit through them as their thin clothes offered little protection. Storms of water kick up with every step. Splashing echoing like a dropped pebble in the water. Behind them men in black fatigues and barking dogs chasing them. One of the agents stopped and turned his rifle around when he saw the closest soldier and fired his rifle into him. One of the other agents turned to him and yelled at him to hurry up. The agent let his rifle fall back around the sling and ran to catch up to his comrades as the men in black pursued them.

The barking of dogs got closer and the sound of footsteps rang nearer and nearer. They ran one mile after another, until their legs ached so hard they felt like tree twigs against the storming winds. The exit to the sewers were in front of them as the sound of boots clashing against the hard stone got closer. The agent in charge unlocked the padlock with the butt of his rifle. One by one the three agents jumped into the ground where the sewers exited. As the third agent got ready to jump, the men in black turned around and aimed their submachine gun at him. They said some insoluble words. The light on their weapons blinding in the continual darkness that had enshrouded them this whole time.

The agent turned around, ready to jump before he felt a hole punched through him. Then another. Then another. He thought. This is the end. He knew that now he could return home to his parents. Back to the little house in the countryside. Where rice was grown in the fields. Back when they were a family together. Like a leash and collar, the agent's body hung to the side of the gate, his fellow comrades seeing his lifeless body. Bloodied and lifeless. They took a deep breathe and jumped into the water, swimming away from the vents and away from the searching men.

They managed to make it to the other-side of the river. The sound of bullets whirling as the men behind them identified the. The two agents scaled the hill and disappeared into the sunset that fell behind the hill with them. At the exit of the sewer, one of the men lowered his visors and checked the pulse of the man who's body hung.

"We have to get out of here ourselves. They're going to sell us to the Capitalist Pigs. We can't let that happen." Hanyong said franticly looked around with phantom sounds ringing around him.

"I think you already let that happen," Jang Jinsung retorted angrily as he leaned peering out of the window. Kim What will we do now. You and Shin-Jo were stupid to kill that Southern politician. We have half their military after us now."

Hanyong had questioned it himself. When Shinjo said they needed to get revenge for what happened to Jaegyong. Swiftly their operation crumbled with their intelligence agency tracking them. No clear plan existed now. What would they do now. They had their orders to strike the Southern Government. They did that...Hanyong looked at his superior as blood dripped slowly from the bullet that grazed his shoulder. "What do we do now?"

The Captain looked at his subordinate. He was still reeling from losing half of his team. Vengeance was not the answer. They needed an plan. The South seized the opportunity. The great revolution was dying. The Capitalist pigs grew swiftly, poised to take its place its place. Those that remained scrambled into survival mode. No clear leadership or plan. Day by day, those that resisted were picked off one by one and destroyed or abandoned by their peers. Captain Jin-sung looked at Hanyong. "We finish the mission. We spark the fire. We live out the legacy of our parents and the struggle of our people." He got up, and began trekking to the safe house they had arranged prior. Hanyong following suit as they needed to lay low and wait for the search parties to dissipate.

Commander Lee Wogyong: "Gentlemen, we know the time is now. More than ever we must guard this country from the threat from within. The gates we held firm and shed blood have been broken from behind us. If we do not act now we will become subservient to a communist. We are running the dangerous course of letting these communist filth remain in power. We must act now and do so quickly. Diligence has served us well and faith has aligned our paths. The road to preservation of the Korean race is only possible in our hands. We have a fair pretext. We implicate the Government in the corruption scandal. When public sentiment turns into riots and anger, as the Defense Security Command we will intervene. Restoring law and order to the Country. We'd move two Army divisions, the rotating elements of the 36th Division and the 82nd Airborne Division. We would additionally reallocate assets of the 82nd Airborne Division to detain and close Marine Bases of the 1st Marine Division currently in Pyongyang and the 12th Brigade currently in Wonson. The 36th Division's elements have been assigned to different positions to ensure control of the capitol, while the 82nd Airborne will take Pyongyang and Sejong City. Once we have the Administration and its officials captured, we can proceed with implementation of martial law. We have convinced a handful of officers in the middle command level of the Marine Corps to detain their officers and allow us to quickly close the naval bases and avoid any counter-action.

General Lee Jiyoung: "We would have to proceed with dissolving the National Assembly, suspend the constitution in line with the Martial Law. We will need to move quickly to secure the Ministry of National Defense, National Intelligence Service, and Combined Forces Command Center. Concentrating our resources in Seoul, Sejong City, Pyongyang, and diverting other resources to Busan and Wonson, we can expect a timeline of 12-24 hours upon launch for full control of the country."

Park Jesun: "What are our elements of resistance going to be. Foreign governments, police, etc..?"

Commander Lee Wogyong: "The P.S.S. will have to be dealt with. We can't risk tipping them off to convert them to our side. We'll have to see who fights and who runs when we get there. The police, they'll run when we drive tanks down the streets of Seoul. The elements in the different branches may resist, however, it is unlikely any meaningful in-fighting will occur. If we can achieve our objectives quickly any capable commanders will surrender or join us. By the time any foreign government can react it'll be too late to say anything."

General Lee Jiyoung: "Director Park, what are your thoughts?"

Director Park [Special Operations Directorate of NIS]: "It is well thought out. Commander Lee, I am very impressed. You did a good job with causing this corruption scandal. It'll be good. In the chaos and confusion. We will strike at the Dragons head. While they celebrate over their meager victory, we will overcome them like a Tsunami. My only concern is if...we see popular sentiment shift. Timing is key, at the peak of their anger, we must come as the saviors. What will you do with the Workers Party?"

Commander Lee Wogyong: "Crush them like the vermin they are. Kill them if we have too. Whatever it takes. We will cleanse this country of the dirty reds."

Park Jesun: "Let us keep tipping the smoke in the pot, once it fumes large enough, it'll rupture itself without us having to do anything. Gentlemen, if our plan is to succeed, we must be committed and honest. In the post-coup scenario, let us put our nation first and not ourselves. Korea must be strong. If we fight. Our enemies will pull us apart and we will perish."

General Lee: "Agreed. Let's meet again next week to discuss the needed movement of troops to make sure the rotating battalions to the North aren't crucially needed."

In Seoul, the Officers would meet in a full meeting of relevant personnel at various points in the country. Commander Lee would host the officers privately away from the military logs as they met in a family-owned cabin in the forests. The officers were senior officials in military units responsible for the plan. As they gathered one by one, a unit of reconnaissance infantry from the Commander's forces at the Defense Security Command would be fanning the perimeter to make sure unwanted guests were neutralized if detected. With guard dogs and K2 rifles they patrolled in rotating patterns in a ring of ring formation.

Inside the Cabin, Commander Lee and the men would discuss the current situation. Their forces were carefully assembled using the various emergencies that plagued the country from the Russian Civil War to Imperial Japanese Ambitions. The country's investment into the Army and ability to dominate the armed forces was slowly being eroded. Yet, it was still the more organized branch with the capacity to conduct a wide scale maneuver to grip the country. The Capital Mechanized Infantry Division was deployed across Seoul for securing and taking over the capitol. With elements of the force deployed on the outskirts to lock the city.

In Busan the 72nd Infantry Division was deployed to neutralize the Navy while in Pyongyang its forces were arranged to take over the area. The 72nd Infantry Division would also be tasked with arresting all communist party officials for detention while the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division would be tasked with arresting all political officials in the Capitol. The plan was well developed, specialized units were assembled for neutralizing the President, Speaker, capturing the cabinet ministers, securing key installations, and quarantining the capitol.

To seize the country effectively, the Army would have to secure major airports and airbases with heavy fighter jet concentration. In doing so it would convince other army formations to join their side as well as the Navy and Air Force personnel and equipment. Once this was completed, consolidation and order could be directed through the army. Compromises would have to be made to avoid a momentary crisis in which other actors may attempt to secure power.

Commander Lee Wogyong: "The tide of opinion is waning. We are at a point of no return. If we do not strike with the sword that is hot, then it will become cold and dull. We all swore an oath to this country, we all lived through the decades of hardship for a better future. We must make sure, Korea does not become the next India. We must make sure we do not become the next Russia. For too long, the political elites have scuttled this country from within. For too long, the communist filth was allowed to permeate within our sacred nation. Now we have allowed them to walk over us. Take our country. Seep our prosperity from within. We all know must be done has to be done. We must not take half-measures. We will go the full way to the Rubicon."

General Lee Jiyoung: "Without too much bloodshed. The elder general said looking at the subordinate. We are a nation of people. Not a nation of graves. Our plan must have everyone's 100% if we want to limit the damage. If we fracture this country we will spend years just trying to hold power. I have...spoken to a few friends in strategic command. We have the location of important weapons sites. It is good enough to ensure no foreign country can stage in neighboring countries to spring-board an attack against us. At this stage, we would be able to take over the country rapidly and once secured...take more punitive measures to cement our rule."

Captain Lee Hyungsu: “We have located a container of 20 Hwasong-7 missiles that were to be dismantled, however, we have switched around the orders and we can intercept the transport and take the missiles as well. For…perhaps more discrete measures of disinformation and such. Red flag attack, distrust on the reality of the situation, etc…

Director Park [Special Operations Directorate of NIS]: "The missiles won't be too useful. But. if some countries think they can intervene...well, they'll have to think twice before sending forces to the neighborhood. As for the plan we know that the Government will have a meeting on February 20 to possible announce...constitutional changes...government reforms...election issues, anything really. Why don't we use that time to strike. All of them in one place. We could deal a decisive blow and capture all the important people."

Commander Lee: "Your plan will likely have more security and somewhere less easily accessible. It'd be...more bloody. Though, it'd solve our problem quickly with eliminating them all...As I said before if we can achieve our objectives quickly any capable commanders will surrender or join us. By the time any foreign government can react it'll be too late to say anything."

Director Park [Special Operations Directorate of NIS]: "Your date was more arbitrary to my understanding. We could use it as a smoke screen. Collusion to change the constitution illegally. Something like that. We'd also have to take out the news organization. Framing this is crucial element Commander. Let's not be too hasty, tanks alone can not crush the will of the people. We must penetrate their minds and be the salvation they seek."

Commander Lee: “Even the will of mighty nations can be crushed with steel beasts. Don’t underestimate our capabilities Director.”

General Park: “Let’s keep this civil. I agree, attacking the leadership meeting would be ideal. All the senior officials we need would be in place. Now…My sources in the Blue House say that a delegation is heading to Hanoi, senior officials, two ministers and senior vice ministers. The Summit…puts us in a precarious situation. We can’t just waltz right in an kidnap the ministers…nor can we allow them to be abroad…”

Commander Lee: “We could deploy Unit 668. They’d act without association and neutralize the ministers. It’d be bad. But. It wouldn’t be linked to us.”

General Park: “Why not blame the communists? Use it as a pretext for further eradication of the Workers Party. I’m sure the deaths of senior Korean officials abroad at the hands of communist assassins would garner some sympathy from the globe. Not to mention question Vietnamese security and complacency and make mounted pressure against our actions difficult.”

General Lee: “We’d have to send the unit now then. As to not arouse suspicion. Can we…perhaps attach them to some security services going for the summit?”

General Park: “I’ll see what my sources at the Blue House can arrange. As for the plan, I think it is well thought through. Crucial infrastructure. If we take out the leaders summit I think that the agencies would be mustering a response on the venue and we can seize the lesser defend facilities and agencies. We'll have to take our positions now. I'll be close with Minister Park, General Lee will be staying close to the Joint Chiefs, and Director Park you'll need to stay close to Director Suh.”

Commander Lee: "I will muster the men. As we get closer we won't be able to communicate. How should we communicate our plans?"

General Lee: "Paektu. That should be our codeword. We can use the army channel communications. We would be the only ones to know. Once we go, we will have to take initiative PR campaign. Convince people, get more forces to join us, and crush resistance."

General Park: "Paektu. I like it. Very well. Keep a look out. If we need to meet. No longer in big groups. Captain. Let's not trip any alarms just yet. Keep watch of the rockets. I'll take care of that portfolio. Removing the kill chain and using it for our own use."

Commander Lee: "In leadership..."

General Park: "General Lee is our best leader. We agreed before. Let's not get into a fight over this."

Commander Lee: "F..."

General Lee: "I don't care much for sitting on a desk. Once I we take the country, we can reallocate positions. I think it is time we leave. If we're all gone for too long it'll raise eyebrows. After the incident at the Blue House...we're being watched more and more. Once the call of the mountains is heard, we will act, so, until then, let's focus on the task at hand." General Lee didn't waste time as he got up and took his cap as he left. General Park got up and joined them as the other men stayed in the room. "I'm worried about Commander Lee."The General said as he trekked up the route to where is vehicle was waiting for him. General Park nodded as the General spoke.[/I ]"We may have to dispose of him. We don't need another madman who is power hungry at our table."

General Park: "I agree...General Park said looking back at the cabin. He will make our work more difficult. But. I am worried he has been gathering his own power backers. He has been having meetings quietly...with...some very not savory people."

General Lee: "You've been watching him?"General Park nodded. "What have you discovered?"

General Park: "He's been meeting with some people connected to crime gangs, some ex-army officials, and Chun-era army chiefs. He is getting sloppy. After his botched effort with the North Korean agents...I've had a lot of loose ends to tie up. The NIS is getting closer and closer."

General Lee: "We will deal with him when the time is right...or...we will let his arrogance be his fall."General Park nodded. "Clean up this error. We also need to find those files...the invasion plans were an embarrassment...if they get leaked...let's not let it get to that."

General Park: "Yes sir."
