In a throne room filled to the brim with reporters, guards and Palace Workers all attention was focused on only a single person, the Empress of the French.
My people,
Today the despicable and criminal Canadian nation has launched an unprovoked attack against territories that have been part of the Empire of France for centuries. Acting under the guise that these territories supposedly were used to fund the terror attacks that took place inside their nation, they have enacted a policy of terrorism on the innocent and unarmed civilians that call these lands their home.
The accusation is as pathetic as it is untrue, France has itself felt the pain of terrorism so directly that even the mere suggestion that we would support it elsewhere is an insult not only to the French people but to the intelligence of the global community. At no point did the Kingdom of Canada bring their suspicions to either the French embassy or the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, neither in their public or private declaration did they show this supposed evidence their forces collected. Instead despite the wide array of diplomatic tools available, they chose for the most severe from the start. It is clear that the Canadians do not care about terrorism or their own people. No, this is all about the greed and ambition of the Canadian king. Not satisfied with control of the world's second largest country, he wants to subjugate the people of territories that have through their own free will voted to remain part of France. It is clear that he is only using the horrendous loss of his people to justify taking more lives.
Even now, while we would be fully in our right to rally an international coalition to face off against Canadian imperialism and aggression, that is not why I have come to you today. Instead I call upon the international community to act. The Empire of France will gladly open itself up to investigation. We have nothing to hide for we know that an impartial investigation will show that there has been no supply of terrorists through or from French territory, not in the new world and not in the old world.
For the sake of peace we are even willing to let these initial attacks stand unpunished. If justice for the Canadian people is truly the Canadian goal here they will welcome an international investigation and open up their own country likewise. If they do not want innocents to suffer they will cease operations that have only killed unarmed civilians so far pending the results of such an international investigation. If they are convinced that we financed and supplied their terrorists, they will gladly show the world this proof. If instead they refuse, it should send a clear message to the world.
The Empire of France has only ever desired to live in peace and harmony. We have no ambitions for territorial expansion, we have no interest in Canadian affairs. We welcome the international community as a force of reason and peace. We welcome the international community to prevent the blood of innocents being shed.
I have instructed my government to reach out to our allies, friends and international partners as well as international institutions to create the conditions for peace. But do not consider this resolve for peace a sign of weakness. We will never surrender the lives of French citizens to an aggressive regime.
