A large fleet of fifteen WZ551 armoured vehicles made their way through the streets of Jakarta, onlookers pondered to what was going on, filling the vehicles were members of Kopassus which was Indonesia's Special Forces Command who were dressed in full combat gear and equipped their AK47 assault rifles. The vehicles stopped outside the Istana Merdeka which was the home of the President of Indonesia who had just woken up - the soldiers dismounted from their vehicles and fired upon the Presidential Security Force agents protecting the perimeter of the residence and opened the gates and sprinted up through the grounds before opening the main door and filing into the residence and fired upon any staff and security who they deemed a threat. They made their way into the office of Joko Widodo and fired upon the agents who protected him and grabbed the President and threw him to the ground whilst a soldier dug his steel capped boot into the neck of the President whilst another ziptied the hands of the President behind his back before sitting him back up on a chair.
Onlookers ran in different directions at the sound of gunfire whilst some looked on at the Presidential Palace to see the military vehicles parked outside, the soldiers were greeted with backup as more vehicles had arrived to back their counterparts up and threatened to fire upon the civilians watching on if they didn't back away. Across the city, news, radio and other important infrastructure would be taken over by the Indonesian Military with other important figureheads such as government ministers and local government politicians. A curfew had now been put in place with all of Jakarta ordered to stay at home or face arrest and fines.
More was to come.
