First Secretary Chamberlain,
I send warm greetings from my father, the Shahanshah of the Imperial State of Iran, who has spoken to me of his strong desire to return Dutch-Iranian relations to their Pre-1979 Islamic Revolution heights, following the disastrous past decades under Iran's long nightmare under the rule of the Ayatollahs. All of us with the Imperial State of Iran understand the damage caused to our bilateral relations by the Ayatollahs, however with their downfall I'm confident that our two nations can begin repairing the damage Ayatollahs have done to our bilateral relations and work together to build trust and mutually beneficial relations between our two great nations once again.
In order to do this as quickly as possible, my father the Shahanshah feels that the matter of the truly awful ballistic missile attacks by the Ayatollahs against targets within the Netherlands, must be brought to a close, which satisfies our two governments, but most importantly the survivors and families of this dark chapter in Iranian history. Though the House of Pahlavi was clearly opposed to the rule of the Ayatollahs for decades and in no way even remotely involved in this cowardly attack on the Netherlands, my father feels that it is necessary that this matter is addressed, healed, and then put to rest, in order for our two nations to begin our bilateral relations anew and with both sides fully trusting one another. I would like to meet with you or one of your representatives to accomplish this, either in the Netherlands or Iran, so that we can see to the finer details of healing and closure for the survivors and families of this traumatic event for the Dutch and Iranian people alike.
I am also hopeful that through our strong commitment and firm desire to fundamentally transform the last four decades of poor Dutch-Iranian relations, we can begin the process of rebuilding trust within our respective nations, while seeking to build mutually beneficial diplomatic, economic, military, and security ties between our two great nations. The oplurtunity to do begin this process is in front of us now and we need only work together to ensure that our two nations live in mutual peace, respect, and prosperity, for the rest of our days.
Sincerely,
National Security Adviser of the Imperial State of Iran, His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi,
