With the official take-over of Mercedes-AMG F1, Benjamin Stoddard was immediately installed as the new Team Principal to the team. One of the first objectives for the organisation was to quickly complete the rebranding of the team to 'Sparrow Racing' in preparation for the Grand Prix of the United States. One of the most visible changes would be the utilisation of the new livery, which hopefully would soon become a favourite amongst the fans.
A meeting was scheduled between new Team Principal Stoddard and the upper management of the team, including the engineers. With only little time to spare before the US Grand Prix the decision was made the invest in the manoeuvrability (+2 Development Points) of the vehicle in order to improve the chances of the team at the race.
Furthermore, Stoddard would emphasise that the team should continue to operate as they had done previously and that no dramatic changes would be enforced upon the team. Sparrow would simply observe for the moment and provide the necessary financial support and any changes would be carefully calculated before being implemented. This decision should hopefully ease the transition of ownership and put the minds of all the staff at ease now that they are certain of their job security.
Upon conclusion of the meeting everyone would get back to work, with Stoddard making the rounds through the team's facility and meeting the various staff members as he motivated them to do the best work they could in the few days left before the start of the next race.

The podium finish at the American Grand Prix was the perfect start to the new era of the team. With all the difficulties the team had faced in the last month spirits were high as the team prepared for the next Grand Prix. A debriefing would be held between the drivers, race engineers and upper management to determine further development for the car in preparation for the upcoming race. While the car had performed formidably there were concerns that the endurance of the vehicle might be at risk in future races. Engineers would be tasked with seeking ways to improve the reliability and durability of the major components of the vehicle. Attention would also be brought to the AUTODROMO INT. NELSON PIQUET, where speed seemed to be important.
As the whole team prepared for the upcoming Grand Prix of South America, expectations would be high the goal still remained to cement their position in the championships. With now one race under their belt, and good results in the bag, Sparrow Racing was keen to prove to the world that it could still perform to the highest standards
