Exercise Kadesh
Security Classification: TOP SECRET

Situation Report
The Ministry of Defence has deemed it necessary for the Shayetet 13 (13th Flotilla) to undergo a training exercise amidst a potential deployment ahead of a potential invasion between the United Coalition and the Republic of Turkey and her allies. Shayetet 13 is the prime special forces unit of the Israeli Navy. The unit is one of the most secretive in the Israel Defence Force. The details of many missions and identities of active operatives are kept highly classified. The exercise will be used to test the capabilities and offer further training before a potential deployment abroad.

Deployment List
Israeli Navy

- Shayetet 13 (300x Special Forces, 30x Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boat)
- 916th Patrol Squadron (400x Regular Personnel, 8x Super Dvora Mk III-Class Patrol Boat, 1x Mistral-class amphibious assault ship, 8x Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion)

INS Jerusalem sailing from Haifa Naval Base

TOP SECRET
With the Ministry of Defence deeming it necessary to host a primary tactical exercise for the Israeli Navy amidst a potential deployment, it was decided that the Shayetet 13 unit which was responsible for maritime special operations would undergo an exercise laid out by the Ministry of Defence, this saw their deployment from Atlit Naval Base which was a classified Israeli Navy base on the northern Mediterranean coast of Israel. They deployed to Haifa Naval Base where they would pick up deployment orders from senior officers within the Israel Defence Forces.

The exercise saw the detachment of the INS Jerusalem (Mistral-class amphibious assault ship) to the 916th Patrol Squadron which was the newest acquired vessel within the Israeli Navy and would be their primary base of operations when at sea, however the skills that they gathered within the exercise meant that they could operate from any other vessel of operations when deployed in a real time environment. The detachment of five Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boats and eight Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallions to the INS Jerusalem. The three hundred special forces personnel would board the flagship vessel of the Israeli Navy with their equipment which they carried on all operations alongside the personnel who would be navigating the INS Jerusalem during the training exercise.

After the vessel had been fully loaded with enough fuel and provisions for the crews and armament for the mission ahead, the huge flagship vessel would leave Haifa Naval Base under the command of Commander Sofia Pomerantz who ordered the vessel to remain unarmed at the present moment but ordered weapons officers to remain on guard should the vessel receive new deployment orders. The ship would head towards its area of operations (32.459327, 34.726664) under the presence of seven Super Dvora Mk III-class patrol boats which had nine personnel on each patrol boat which was fully fueled and carrying enough provisions for the crew until they had to return to port, these ships carried 4 × AGM-114 Hellfire (Surface-to-surface type) missiles & 1 × Typhoon 20-30 mm stabilized cannon.

Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boat deployment from INS Jerusalem

TOP SECRET
With the sun descending over the Mediterranean Sea, the Shayetet 13 unit would be briefed on the goals and outcomes from the exercise and it was decided that the first exercise would be maritime boarding. One of the Super Dvora Mk III-class patrol boats would be playing the role of a fishing boat which had been scouted by the Naval Intelligence Division as potentially carrying arms to the Gaza Strip, radar operators would begin tracking the vessel which was around thirty kilometers from the flagship vessel of the Israeli Navy via the on board DRBN-38A Decca Bridgemaster E250 navigation radar.

The radar operators would begin gathering as much intelligence as they could in conjunction with Naval Intelligence Division officers and communicated this with the bridge and the Commander authorised a deployment of Shayetet 13 commandos to intercept the vessel and make sure that it was not harming the national security interests of Israel or her allies. Twenty commandos had been authorised to deploy from the INS Jerusalem and made their way to the two alcoves on each side to launch two Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boats (ten personnel in each boat) but before they began their deployment in the inflatable boats, they made sure to check over all of their equipment and safety equipment such as life jackets, safety helmets and bulletproof vests. Each commando would be carrying a fully loaded Jericho 941 sidearm and a IMI Galil primary assault rifle. After being loaded into the water from the alcoves on each side, the engines of both Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boats would be activated as the vessels and would begin making their way to the location of the 'enemy' boat which carried Israeli Navy sailors who were posing as Israeli sailors on a fishing trip. One commando on each boat would be manning the fully loaded machine gun which rested at the front of the vessel. The vessels hit their maximum speed as they closed in on the vessel whilst being passed intelligence on the individuals onboard through their encrypted communications systems.

The primary objective(s) would be given over encrypted communications systems to insert commandos onto the boat to detain and challenge the occupants and to examine the ship's cargo in a search for drugs, weapons, passengers which are unrecorded on the ship's manifest, or any other type of contraband that could possibly have been carried aboard. The two Morena-class rigid-hulled inflatable boats would pull alongside the Super Dvora Mk III-class patrol boat which had been identified as an Israeli fishing vessel but could potentially be carrying illegal drugs and weapons on board which caused five of the commandos to board the vessel and detain the ship's crew under arrest until a further search had been completed. Over an hour later after the ship had been searched and the crew identified as genuine Israeli fishing men, the crew would be released and the commandos would safely board their boat once again before heading back to the INS Jerusalem after safely identifying the vessel.

The same drills would be recited and exercised for the rest of the Shayetet 13 unit through the night in order for the unit to become familiar with maritime boarding operations and the different techniques used. Once all commandos had completed the afformed exercise, they would reconvene aboard the INS Jerusalem before taking rest before they were to begin other exercises as part of Exercise Kadesh.
