Operation Guardian of the Walls was a go; the Palestinian Division of the Military Intelligence Directorate would mobilise and arrive at Ramat David Air Base under the cover of darkness and would arrive into an undisclosed hanger with their equipment which would take a matter of minutes to set up with the Group Commander overseeing the whole operation in coordination with the personnel and technicians involved. Personnel would begin tapping into the infrastructure of Hamas under the primary disguise of Iranian IP addresses which could not be pinged back to Israel, if an attempt to be tracked was made then they would create diversions to many other third world countries such as Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda and so on.

All personnel would coordinate with each other so that no mistakes were made, they began tapping into phones, computers and other electronic devices of senior Hamas officials. They also tapped into security cameras across the Gaza Strip to give a better picture of what was occurring in the city. They used the following information to begin preparing an intelligence briefing which could be used to brief the Prime Minister when able.

With things moving at a rapid pace across the Middle East, it was decided that Operation Guardian of the Walls was to begin which saw the mobilisation of the 934th Reconnaissance Battalion also known in Hebrew as Gadsar Nahal at their base in Kfar Yona which was a special forces battalion assembled by the Israel Defence Force for reconnaissance and demolition purposes. They began moving their equipment from the barracks such as clothing, weapons and other assets (to be stated in later posts) which was needed to complete their missions. Throughout the day, they would be ferried by thirty Plasan Sandcats to Jerusalem to begin their mission of providing security across East Jerusalem.

In private, plans had been drawn up by the Minister of Defence to see the insertion of Sayeret Maglan which was also a special forces unit which was responsible for operating behind enemy lines and deep in enemy territory which the main objective was to see the capturing of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat from his government headquarters in Ramallah, Palestine. This was going to be a complex operation but with the planning undergoing extreme scrutiny, it was only a matter of time before they were able to catch their target.
