Summary of Exercise;
->With the revamp, overhaul and modernization of the Maritime and Air Self Defence Forces of the State of Japan, Exercise Gōruden'īguru (Translation: Golden Eagle) has been designed to test and train the crews of these forces in their combat, replenishment and damage control capabilities. Taking place in and around the position of 32°36'02.0"N 133°48'10.1"E - East-South-East of Kochi.
Primary Objectives;
-> Test the JMSDF in their Air, surface and sub-surface combat abilities
-> Test the JMSDF in their damage control capabilities
-> Test the JASDF in their anti-ship and anti-submarine capabilities
Secondary Objectives;
-> Test the JMSDF's capabilities in Replenishment-at-Sea (otherwise known as Underway Replenishment)
->Test the JMSDF in their capabilities of responding to incidents such as man overboards etc.
