[Korea] An Offer to Turkey

Hyeon

Korean Empire

With the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Middle East, the world was faced with a difficult challenge in preventing one of the worst atrocities in history from repeating itself. Sanctions and diplomatic isolation were clearly not working, and war might not be able to stop worse in time. Not that Korea had the means to contribute to war anyway. This left one final possibility, one that Korea had to make if it were to be able to look at itself in the mirror. As such while most nations would send notifications of expulsions, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs would send a different message to the Turkish embassy in Seoul, addressed to the Ambassador but to be handed off to any senior official still present. The message would be sealed so that its contents would be fully secured from any third parties.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Korean Empire
Your Excellency,

It is with horror that the government of the Korean Empire has learned of the recent events going on in your country, in particular with regards to the treatment of minorities including the Jewish citizens and residents of Turkey. Out of humanitarian interest, my Empress has requested me to extend an olive branch in the form of an offer to arrange for the migration of Jews and other affected minorities from Turkey to the Korean Empire. We are willing to arrange for the transport and all other concerns to enable a safe and secure migration without straining the Turkish treasury.

In addition to enabling you to realize the Turkey you seem to desire, this solution will avoid further scrutiny by the international community and may go a long way in salvaging Turkey's image internationally. Furthermore, to compensate for the inconvenience the Korean state is willing to transfer $500,000,000 to Turkey if it can guarantee that none of the minority groups will be harmed until they have reached Korea. Should you agree, the Korean government is also willing to relax the recently implemented sanctions.

I hope to hear a positive reply from your government soon. Whether it is in this life or the next, we must all eventually answer for our actions, please for your own soul and the fate of thousands of your subjects, do not add yourself to a long list of people history remembers for the wrong reasons.

Sincerely,
Park SoJung,
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Minister SoJung,

Turkey had a long standing and close relationship with the previous administration and we regret that the previous government has been disolved leading to the creation of the current administration. We decline your offer due to the very clear and obvious fact that there are simply no detained or harmed minorties within Turkey, it has become clear that your government has been foolish enough to fall for the lies and deceit of the western powers who are in reality the ones hurting the true minorities with their acts of aggression and violence against our great country and the Korean government is reminded that there is no substantial evidence pointing to any sort of international law violation. We are ready for further negotiations but at this time unless any substantial and fact based offers are made there will be no further communication.

Regards,
Zeki Eker
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey

Your Excellency,

I would appreciate it that as diplomats under the privacy of encrypted communication we could forego the spin and respect each other's intelligence. Korean nationals and our own embassy staff have reported the disappearance of Jewish communities from major Turkish cities and the mass violence against the Jewish community prior to that without intervention by Turkish police. The specifics of the current situation aside it is more than clear that Turkey no longer desires to have a Jewish population. I am not here to judge you on this, I am here to look for a solution that ends with as many people as possible able to live in freedom and peace. If you were to arrange for the transfer of all Jews in Turkey to Korea your govertnment would no longer need to worry about these people, the United Coalition can no longer accuse you of atrocities committed against the population and your own government will receive a significant iinflux of cash to fuel the Turkish economy or its armed forces. It seems to me that this can only leave winners.

All we would need from Turkey is for the Jewish population to be taken to airports and port cities, from there Korean Airlines and civilian cruiseliners can take the people to Korea in peace and comfort.

It would also go a long way in clearing your reputation internationally and bringing about an end to the conflict currently threatening your country's very existence. We are willing to offer our diplomatic support in bringing combatants to the negotiating table if you are willing to go along for this agreement.

Sincerely,
Park SoJung,
Minister of Foreign Affairs

Minister SoJung,

Your offer is generous but we have already made this offer to the west which was promptly denied because they called it “genocide”. The only offer they made was the dissolution of the current government which will be replaced by a pro west government, the total disarmament of Turkey, and the trial of the president in Israel along with Jews receiving elevated status in Turkey. I’m sure you understand that these are unacceptable to us and we have chosen to dispose of potential saboteurs in Turkey including Jews who are working for the Israeli government illegally. Like many, you have been misled by the west and must understand that this invasion is clearly not about “protecting minorities“ but rather how much land can we take. Nations such as Saudi Arabia support our claims and have seen the true evidence behind what has gone on. Here is a message from the western coalition on this matter:

We will only accept a peace agreement if you, yourself(The President), are tried by the International Court of Justice, Turkey and Saudi Arabia officially recognise the State of Israel and it’s claim that the state of Palestine in part of the State of Israel, the Turkish and Saudi Arabian militaries are completely disbanded and Turkey and Saudi Arabia permanently renounce war as a legitimate means for both offensive and defensive capabilities, adopting a similar approach as post WW2 Germany and that there be a division of the land of Turkey with the MHP party being outlawed and pro Kurdish and Israeli governments put in power. And that will only be with one nation, you still have several other Coalition nations to convince who will certainly demand further concessions.

As you can see this was before any war or conflict even occured, we did not fire the first shot but they in fact did and are trying to strip our nation of it’s democratic principles. Time and time again nations such as South Africa, Argentina, Romania, and more have been preyed upon by the west for their own personal gain. As a victim of Colonialism yourself your nation must understand that we are fighting for principles linked to democracy with free representation for all. Turkey wants to be a partner and has made numerous allies across the globe but the time comes when you need to look at what is happening through more than the narrow hole the west tries to make you look through. Yes, we have detained the Jewish population but this was not against them but instead to protect them from our own public who has a deep hatred for Jews. If we did not evacuate them then they would be killed by protesters. As for Congo, they invaded a prison in Turkey and killed numerous Jews via torture. We had no choice but to bomb the prison to avoid further casualties. Let this all soak in before you respond minister, because you are looking at making a choice of right vs wrong.

Best Regards,
Zeki Eker
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey
