Addressed to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Cc: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Good evening.

I'm writing on behalf of the Kingdom of Singapore, with the full authority of King Wei to negotiate any potential treaties or deals on his behalf. First off, thank you for taking the time to read this message. Our kingdom might be a bit of a way across the world from Nigeria, but we recognize your country as one of the sole bastions of order currently on the African continent. With that in mind, my goal is to hopefully reach a consensus and establish bilateral relations between our nations. If this sound agreeable to you, I would be more than happy to continue the conversation on topics from economics to defense.

Thank you for your time,
Grace Fu

Good Evening, it is a privilege to hear from your kingdom, and we are honored by your words about our government. We strive to be an active and worthy representative for Africa. We are happy and hopeful for strong bilateral relations between our two peoples as we are certain there is much that we can learn from the Kingdom of Singapore. We believe that a logical first step to this relationship would be the establishment of a free trade agreement between our people and the opening of official trade routes. The Nigerian International Trade Confederation would be capable of handling all transport and arrangements.

I'm glad to hear your proposition, Minister Onwuliri, and we are willing to accept a free trade agreement alongside established trade routes. Notated below are the top 5 exports available from my country:

  1. Integrated Circuits
  2. Electrical Machinery, including Computers
  3. Mineral Fuels, including Oil
  4. Optical, technical, medical apparatus
  5. Precious Metals and Gems
We appreciate your willingness to handle any trading logistics, as our merchant fleet is in quite the disarray after the government's transition.

We are most pleased to manage the routes, and we certainly understand your position, our own government only now beginning to exercise true stability. We are extremely interested in importing Integrated Circuits, Electrical Machinery, and Optical, technical, medical apparatus from Singapore. In exchange we can offer to trade:

1. Rubbers
2. Plastics
3. Crude Oil
4. Natural Gas
5. Tobacco

Further we would be most interested in establishing a cultural and educational exchange program allowing student visas to be easy to obtain between our two populations and allowing the flow of culture and knowledge between our citizenry.

In exchange for the requesting goods to be exported to Nigeria, we would request plastics, crude oil and natural gas for import to our country.

In regards to a cultural exchange program, we are definitely open to the idea of relaxing certain restrictions for entering our country. In specific, I'm certain restrictions can be lifted substantially for both students and tourists who intend to visit our country medium to long-term.

How does this sound to you? I'd be glad to hear your thoughts. Assuming everything checks out, we wouldn't mind discussing matters of defense and security as well, unless there was anything we happened to miss.

We will direct the trade to commence shortly. We are happy to have reached a trade agreement with your nation. We are sure it will enrich both of our economies. We are further most happy that you have agreed to a cultural exchange involving the relaxing of certain visas. We will direct our State Offices to extend the same privileges to the people of Singapore.

We would be happy to discuss matters of defense and security, and we would welcome a strategic ally in the South Pacific.

Wonderful News! And rest assured, Singapore guarantees the safety of both foreign citizens and vessels that enter our country.

But moving on to matters of defense, a strategic alliance would suit our Kingdom as well. It isn't any secret that our kingdom has legitimate concerns regarding the communist nations to our north, chiefly among them Vietnam.

That said, we aren't interested in dragging nations into potential aggression either, but our King does feel the need to be transparent regarding our situation in our region of Asia.

Furthermore, we do intend to establish ourselves as a legitimate power, to counter the elements that seek to destabilize Southeast Asia. With any luck, we hope to achieve the amount of international support necessary to stop any further expansion south.

We agree that such an agreement may be to our mutual benefit, we would invite a delegation from Singapore to Abuja to discuss such a strategic agreement, we have worries of our own with the Communists. Further it seems that many elements of the international community remain happy to allow the General Assembly to remain a toothless shell incapable of enforcing international law. These elements put all nations that seek peace and prosperity at risk. Nations like Germany and the Ottoman Empire, clinging to their ancient pasts as a way to slow down the progress of the international community. They have no issues slandering Nigeria, and also sitting on their hands while nations fall to foreign powers.

I am inclined to agree with you, as your reasoning is partially why our country decided to vote approval in the recent resolution at the GA.

I believe a state visit can be arranged rather soon, although our Foreign Affairs dept. has been swamped as of recent. While I will not be attending the meeting, Secretary Brendan Wei, Head of the DoD, has stated his desire to personally come to Abuja to act in the King's stead.

We would be happy to receive your delegation and will prepare immediately for Secretary Wei. We are happy to hear of your support of a strong international community, and we hope that together we may strengthen the General Assembly and weaken the voices that would divide our globe.

Secretary Wei along with a small entourage would arrive at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport after a long overnight flight from Singapore International Airport. His stafff would make sure to report their arrival a hour before landing, and the private jet of the royal family would be escorted into one of the nearby hangars where the delegation waited for pickup from the Nigerian government.

The Nigerian delegation sent to meet the delegation from Singapore would arrive with coordinated perfection, stepping out of the limosuine sent would be the Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, and a small delegation from the Defense Ministry. They would exchange pleasantries with the Singaporean delegates before ushering them into the vehicle which would take them to the Foreign Ministry.

All of this was private and protected information. A closed off and secured conference room with refreshments, computers, tablets, and outside encrypted communication would be prepared for the meeting.

They would begin the short drive through the most populous planned city in the world.

Brendan would shake hands and exchange pleasantries with the President and the delegation he accompanied. "Thank you for receiving us, Mr. President. On behalf of my nation and my brother, the King, your hospitality is appreciated and will be reciprocated in kind." He spoke with perfect english, a language that had recently become more popular since the Wei family established control over the island.

With him were three men and two women, the former plainclothes Royal Guards assigned to his personal security. They were armed with a visible pistol holstered at their side each, an open fact that Brendan assumed his counterparts would have no objections to. He would address it if asked, but would leave it in the wind until then.

In any case, he would enjoy a light refreshment and make small talk with the President until they arrived at the Defense Ministry.

The delegates would reach the Foreign Ministry and all be ushered inside together, the Modern Building was constructed to host such meetings, and employees ushered about to offer refreshments or to take food orders. They would slowly make their way through them to the conference room, where the doors would be shut.

"It is my greatest honor to host you here, and I wish long health and prosperity to you and your brother. Now I believe we have several important strategic matters to discuss, the first of which, being the agreement I can hope to a domestic licensing agreement that would allow Nigerian Industry to produce some of your equipment locally. This would greatly expand our own economic base as well as provide a stalwart base for Nigerian Security."

Once the discussions had began, Brendan would dismiss his entourage from the room besides his closest aide.

"I'm pleased to hear that your country is interested in the equipment being offered by my nation." His aide would hand the president a set of documents that contained the current catalog being offered.

LDI Catalog

"I came prepared to offer your government an opportunity to consider Lion Defense Industries as a serious supplier of arms...but I'm glad to hear we were on the same page." He would give them a few moments to go over the catalog, assuming they wished to browse anything new. "LDi is an ambitious, young conglomerate in the arms industry. As the VP of the company, I do have the authority to negotiate this deal. What exactly was your government interested in?"

"We are most interested in your naval equipment, although a few of your land systems interest us as well, we currently have a signed exclusive arms deal with the French Defense Industry to provide all ground equipment they are capable of to our Army, specifically the regular units, However we are more interested in acquiring the licensing for your products rather than merely ordering them, and of course, naval equipment is not under the contract.

We would be most interested in the SEA WOLF-CLASS MISSILE GUNBOAT and the FEARLESS-CLASS PATROL VESSEL, we would also like to hear the advantages of the SAR-21 over the AKM."

"I see, well we see no problem with the French holding exclusivity to such a grand contract. We hope our ally in europe was able to satisfy all of your land-based needs, but rest assured that Lion Defense might have a solution for you if there was anything missing." Brendan chuckled, his previous statement somewhat of a joke with a hint of seriousness behind it.

"But as for your interest in expanding your navy, I'm certain we have the right options to fit your needs. The Sea Wolf and the Fearless-Class are fine vessels that were created prior to the conglomeration of our country's arms industries into Lion Defense. For both the Sea Wolf and the Fearless, I believe we can reach an agreement. I'm willing to offer the license for both ships for a total of $400,000,000.00 US dollars, of which it's a 300/100 split between the Fearless and the Sea Wolf. How does that sound?"

"We could certainly agree to such a cost, however we would further like to discuss the Skyblade series, we see that the Skyblade IV is not listed, however we would be most interested in this tactical UAV to assist our artillery division directly in the field, further we would like to know if there are plans in Singapore or if Singapore currently operates a Future Soldier/Advanced Warrior System similar to the Russian Ratnik System. We are most interested in acquiring such a system."

"Excellent." He would reply with a smile before the conversation shifted to the topic of drones.

"For the most part, we've only been mass-producing the Skyblade III for production outside of the Kingdom. At the moment I can not offer an exact pricing for the Skyblade IV, although I'm not certain on the licensing of our drone technology outside of the kingdom. That said... we aren't opposed to some form of exclusivity deal in regards to the purchasing of the UAV's from LDI. As for the second question, I can discreetly say that there is something of that nature currently being worked on by LDI. I can't comment too much on it yet, as nothing has been finalized, but I believe we can arrange a similar exclusivity deal once we release the system to the public."

"As for the SAR-21, I believe I can sum up my thoughts on the rifle quite easily. The SAR-21 is, to put it bluntly, a soldier's rifle. That is, the rifle itself is noticably less sleek than your average M4, but it's functionality and design was intended to accomodate your average citizen soldier, or reservist-heavy army. In that regard, the AKM is very similar, although our rifle does come with a good enough scope to allow an infantryman to engage effectively up to 100 meters away."
