Your reputation of economic-wit proceeds you, and is secured by your level-headed response. I appreciate that the Kingdom of Sweden has taken a number of unique opportunities to diversify its wealth portfolio, unlike many other nations who we see let their wealth sit in the bank and collect little to not interest for months or even years. In regard to your proposal to restructure the interest rate of the CD, I would like to give you some more context so that perhaps we can come to a better understanding.

As I said previously, this CD is a proof-of-concept; however, it's not for those who may consider purchasing the CD, but instead for my board of directors. Some of them are uncomfortable with the idea of issuing CDs to non-Norwegians, and most of them are uncomfortable with issuing CDs that stretch into billions of dollars, which has never been done before. I think that there are a number of countries, Sweden perhaps at the top of that list, who will make excellent partners. I was able to negotiate with them a fixed-price CD at total-interest rate of 25%. My goal in the future is to be able to offer no-risk CDs with total-interest rates ranging from 25% all of the way up to 50% in some instances, and perhaps under even shorter time periods. However, before I can issue more ambitious CDs at those rates, I first need to prove that this is a viable and realistic concept. At this moment, with the current investments we are trying to make and offer, a CD with the parameters you suggested (40% total-interest) would not be economically viable for Krone Kapital at this time. That is the bad news.

The good news is that I - and the rest of Krone Kapital - really values the opportunity to establish a business relationship with the Kingdom of Sweden. I've had to play out almost all of my cards, so to speak, but I've managed to get the interest rate for this initial CD to be raised from 25% to 30% specifically if the Swedish government is the investor. This would mean that, after the CD matures, the Kingdom of Sweden would be entitled to reap a total of $2,600,000,000 - $600,000,000 of which is pure profit. This would, of course, still be under the same time period.

I understand that you may want assurances about our guarantee. As I mentioned previously, we are guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the Kingdom of Norway. If Sweden were to purchase this CD, and Krone Kapital were to file for bankruptcy twenty-four hours later, the Kingdom of Norway itself would assume the responsibility of repaying your government, plus the promised profits. I'm going to have a friend of mine from the Ministry of Finance send you a message to offer you an official assurance of this.

Mister Secretary, I became the richest man in Norway not just by making wise investments, but by building relationships with exceptionally intelligent people who know how to make smart decisions with their capital. I hope that we can do bushiness and I can assure you that if we do, I'm going to make a lot of money for the Kingdom of Sweden starting with this CD, and hopefully more investments to come.

Mister Mathias Anker has requested that I contact you about the relationship between His Majesty's Government and his company, Krone Kapital. While he told me that he couldn't go into exceptional detail, I would like to put any possible concerns you have at ease, and confirm that the Ministry of Finance does fully back all investment opportunities of Krone Kapital listed as "Risk Free". As far as I'm aware, all of the CDs currently offered carry such a label. The Storting recently passed a resolution, titled "The Sovereign Investment Act of 1995" which states that Krone Kapital is given a special corporate status within the Kingdom of Norway. It has received a $1-billion investment from the government among other things, such as the privilege to sell Norwegian military equipment with the approval of the Ministry of Defense.

Mister Anker's office was happy to hear this. A response was sent from his office, giving the Swedish Ministry of Finance the information it needed to conduct the transaction. This was all done in a secure and private manner, of course. The Swedish were told they could go ahead and send the funds. They just needed to fill out a form to make everything official. They were told to choose the only available CD that Krone Kapital Investments had for sale, the "Option A" CD.

If they needed any assistance, Krone Kapital staff were ready to help.
