Hi People!
I'm looking to full transfer to another nation, which I can play as "antagonistic towards western/NATO standards" in order to bring back some pvp conflict to MN. It should be something serious, not a rogue Nicaragua...

I can't just decide on which one though.

I accept suggestions and ideas!

PS. Obviously this is a non-binding poll!

Maybe you could consider the possibility of being Somilia, its got a history of tense relations with the west and it has an interesting storyline

Well the idea is to have a competitive nation, not only it is really hard to be strong as a small nation, but it would also be unrealistic. (Like the former MN East Timor superpower xD).

Before I answer, what is it that you disliked about being Egypt or any other country you've transferred from in the past? What did you like most about being Egypt and what did you like most about being Argentina?

Well, I've only ever been Argentina and Egypt, so not much ideas on other nations. I moved to Egypt mostly because of the reset and the idea of being quickly in the middle of the conflict (As Argentina I was losing 150M of population and 35% of my territory due to the reset, so it was the quickest way to stay at the forefront of conflict), but that never really happened, even with the Suez under my control.

Also, it was getting really stressfull to play as Argentina given the lots and lots of time and commitment I put in running it and how "personal" it had become (plus being my own RL nation). Tbh I was all the time at the verge of some conflict.

But looking back at it, its was more interesting. Maybe if I take a different approach it won't be that bad.

Nothing else really against Egypt, but I don't really "feel" like I care about my egyptians. Plus its really hard to come up with arabic names...

Indonesia has a strong indigenous military capability, a geographically different country (an archipalego), a population of over 200M so lots of tax money. It has an interesting storyline, you could definitely play an anti-west dictator as Indonesia, as they did under Sukarno and Suharto. Lots of things you could do with Indonesia.

Italy's a relatively competitive nation with a decent indigenous military industry and a decent but not massive population size. I don't know if Suvorov is active at all (I don't think so), but if Japan is on the chopping block, that could be an interesting country to play (It was one of the countries I've considered before), especially if you want to go a route like a military junta (Shogunate) or bring back the Empire and expand into pacific islands that nobody cares about.

I think Argentina is a good choice. We are always more invested in the countries where we are from, unless we have an extensive knowledge of the culture and history of the country we are in. My limited success and enjoyment in Norway stems from the fact that I love Norse history and its ancient theology and mythology. If someone, for example, told me I had to RP Spain, I'd probably have a lot of trouble getting any kind of inspiration. I'm sure you'll do great wherever you go, though.
