My President Francois Mitterrand will be just returning from a trip from England, and although he will not be attending this meeting, he his quite keen on hearing of our first face to face diplomatic talks.

Would you like to meet on the border at Chamonix? Our government has several secure villas, in a hamlet just north of Mont Blanc. It is accessible via helicopter and has several helipads. The retreat would give us several days of private in which to work, but also downtime to get to one another under less formal circumstances.

French/Italian relations are one of the cornerstones of our foreign and in particular, European policy.

The Chief Diplomatic Officer would charter a helicopter flight from Rome to the area near Mont Blanc, filing the flight plan with the French and Roman governments once the Minister's staff confirmed the helipad that they would be landing at.

There are three helipads on site all located side by side. You are designated to land at Helipad#1. There will be two other choppers in the air at the time providing security for our meeting.

The Chief Diplomatic Officer would board his helicopter and fly to the designated area. As he left, his staff would send an encrypted and private message informing the French of his impending arrival. The Ambassador would be accompanied by a single Military Intelligence Specialist from the Imperial Preservation Commission, whose uniform would consist of a black ceremonial uniform under a white trench coat, carrying the Roman Flag and the IPC's Insignia on his shoulder. He would be carrying a Beretta Px4 Storm, chambered in .40 S&W.

The Chief Diplomatic Officer would be directed to land at Heliport#1 and will be escorted by two French SuperPumas once it crosses into French airspace. After the Roman helicopter lands at the heliport the Chief Diplomatic Officer would be greeted by Minister DuPont and four bodyguards dressed in black suits each carrying loaded FN P90's and two extra clips. DuPont extends his hand and says in somewhat-accented Italian, "Officer Parma, welcome to France. It is good to finally meet you." He then motions towards a black Peugeot Boxer 2.5 van and opens the side door for Officer Parma.

The Helicopter would land, and the CDO would disembark, followed by the Military Intelligence specialist, who wouldn't wear any rank or unit markings on his uniform. The CDO would meet the minister's hand for a handshake before following him into the van with his intelligence specialist.

On the short drive over to the compound where the villas are located the van passes by the snow-peaked shoulders of the Alps, Minister DuPont asks the CDO, "Are you a skiing man, or a hiker. I am partial to hiking myself. I try to go two to three times a week. If my schedule allows I am looking to transverse the Grand Canyon next year?"

Just minutes later the van pulls up to a lightly guarded, just two guard posts to guard either side of the road on for the entrance with a single sentry who checks the passports of the Romans and Military ID cards of the French. 10 meters up the driveway is a second post but for vehicles leaving the compound. Each sentry is carrying a FAMAS F! assault rifle.

The van pulls into compound black-topped parking lot, just a half dozen or spaces, marked in yellow.

Minister DuPont opens the van door and escorts his guests out and shows to the center villa, the larger of the three. Two sentries stand guard outside the door, also both armed with FAMAS F1 assault rifles.

Once escorted inside the villa the warmth of the fireplace hits you immediately.

In the main room there is a large black company meeting table, replete with bottles of water and pitchers of tea.

"Gentleman, please have a seat. Help yourself to the refreshments. With the short drive and helicopter ride I hope we can get down to business," Minister DuPont says as he takes a seat at the center of the table.

"Thank you," said the Officer, grabbing a bottle of water with his escort doing the same. Both would give a nod of thanks to the Minister as they unscrewed the lids.

"Let's get down to business. Most importantly, beyond setting up proper relations between our country, I would like to discuss an agreement for territorial lines in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Much of the Sea being interior to Italy's borders, and with Corsia mere tens of miles away from both Etna and Sardinia, you can understand the importance of this matter, and that we reach a peaceful concordance, agreeable to both parties."
