It would start to rain in the Italian Regions of Umbria and Tuscany. As the rain started it would go from a mild drizzle to then being a projected three inches of rain per hour. By the time the hour had passed the inches per hour would increase to being ten inches of rain per hour. A massive storm formation had formed as was progressing over the Italian landscape. It is projected that the rain would not stop for two days. Within the hour minor street flooding would occur, but then after that when it became 10 inches per hour it would only get worse. Canals and roads would start to overflow. Houses would be flooded along with cars and other pieces of property. Power would go out as lines would go down from either car crashes or the flooding of power stations.

The King would officially declare Umbria and Tuscany disaster zones. The 20 AW-139s of the 1st Army Aviation Squadron would be deployed to Pisa, along with 40 (2 per helicopter) Knights from the Knights of St Stephen Martyr and Pope, those members of the Crown's Chivalric Order dedicated to Search and Rescue Operations. They would move out in shifts of 12 hours, with 5 helicopters scanning the countryside at any time, with 5 on standby and the other 10 aircrews sleeping, eating, or getting ready for their shifts.
500 more Knights would be deployed with 200 ACTL 6x6 Trucks.



The 231st Airlift Squadron would task 5 C27J Spartan Aircraft to continually deliver relief supplies as well as supplies for the CSAR-Trained Knights.

After 2 days of intense rain the storm would stop dissapaiting having run it's course. Many buildings including homes and businesses had flooded during the course of the storm. Flooded water logged cars congested the streets in places. Power had gone out in several places and in the flooding of a street some minor bridges had been damaged. Including a bridge in central Grosseto which had collapsed due to the pressures. However many areas even after the rain fall remained flooded, people staying on roofs awaiting rescue. The death toll at this point on account of the flood was small. The major damage being to infrastructure, businesses, and homes. Said damage would need to be repaired in the cleanup effort that was without a doubt going to occur.

The Search and Rescue operations would continue their deployment in the affected area, carrying out search and rescue operations, as well as recovery operations in those few places that were necessary. The knights in the ACTLs would begin setting up temporary acommodations (Shelters), logistics centers, local Command Centers (coordinating to the National EOC at the Army's headquarters in Rome) and the like for the affected areas. plans were made for infrastructure repair, and civil engineering firms were contracted by the government to begin the process of inspecting infrastructure and deciding what could be repaired, what needed to be demolished and replaced, and what was already destroyed and needed to be replaced.
