National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) is a left-wing to far-left public broadcasting arm of the Government Public Relations Department (PRD), a division of the confederal Thai Government. It operates comprehensive media services comprising radio, public television networks (terrestrial and satellite), online services, and social media. The Transparency and Information Act of 2003 declares the NBT the sole state-controlled media tasked with disseminating factual reporting and propaganda based on the communist theory of Socialist Participatory Democracy. Domestically, Thai citizens consume NBT’s content mostly for educational and ideological purposes and are aware of its public relations nature. Internationally, NBT categorizes itself as a biased news source toward Thailand and the promotion of global communism, particularly through the propagation of Trotskyism and Neo-Marxism. The media is popular and highly regarded among the international revolutionary communist currents.

Thailand Takes Another Steps Toward Communism As Former Monarch Departs For France
28 February 2006 — Paris
Teerat Ratanasevi, Political Correspondent

Revolutionary communist flags decorated the former Grand Palace as the Thai people took to the street in a momentous celebration of the end of an era. Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of the Rattanakosin Kingdom, and his family informed their Community Assemblies last night of their personal decision to emigrate to the Empire of France. Political scientists from the Socialist International Studies and Development Center (SISDC) assert that this development represents Thailand’s complete break from its tyrannical and capitalist utopian past following the collapse of the United Nations in 1994.

Civil society, free press, and socialist citizenry reaffirmed their indispensable role in the non-state public sphere through proactive and constructive demands to the Confederal Government. In contrast with oppressive and hypocritical nature of the bourgeois revolution, the communes of Thailand consistently adhere and reflect the socialist values and universal rights established in the supreme confederal agreement. Former royal family members hold inherent and inviolable right to return, nationality preservation, and dignified treatment under the 2003 Constitution. They have exercised their freedom to choose a voluntary path of a different lifestyle, outside the collective project of Thai Socialist Participatory Democracy. The Confederal Government will not provide any technical assistance to the former royals. It clarifies that such an action reintroduces class-based interest and contradicts the principle of transformative substantial equality under Section 4 of the Constitution.

The Department of European Affairs revealed that the Empire of France has granted citizenship to the former royal family members. In a gesture of profound respect and commentary of shifting power dynamics in the country, Bhumibol and his family will reside in Hôtel Matignon. Succeeding French Prime Ministers have occupied the Baroque-styled urban mansion for the past seven decades. Moreover, the French Empress has created and granted the title of Duke of Matignon to the former Thai Monarch. French officials informed the European Affairs Department that such a title holds no subject lands or imperial allowance.

The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security published an official statement following the departure of the former royal family. “May these individuals, who were once the tyrants of the Rattanakosin Kingdom, now experience a dignified and fulfilling life, a principle long denied to Thai people under their rule. They who once stood at the pinnacle of the oppressive chapter of the Rattanakosin hierarchy remain, fundamentally, fellow human beings, possessing the same inherent worth, and now, under Thai Socialism, the same guaranteed opportunity, outcome, and social status as every citizen.”

In his characteristically dialectical and understated manner, Rotating Coordinator Thaksin Shinawatra expressed pride for the democratic, participatory, and inclusive nature of the national discussion regarding the remnant of the pre-revolutionary era. He emphasizes that the Thai people have demonstrated unprecedented learning from past socialist experiments, comprehending that the goal toward Communism is about transcending oppression itself, not selectively applying it to the former ruling class.
