With the French delegation already present in The Hague and the Belgian government having confirmed their presence, the Dutch government would move to begin the peace negotiations. A conference room at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be reserved for the summit. The security detail currently assigned to the French delegation would inform the group of their imminent departure to the Ministry. Once the delegation was prepared and ready to go they would be placed in a convoy which made the short journey to the Ministry building at Rijnstraat 8. At the entrance of the building the Minister of Foreign Affairs was waiting to greet the French delegation, once pleasantries were out of the way he would escort them up to the conference room and await the arrival of the Belgians.

The Belgian government would be informed of the summit and their presence would be required immediately.

Albeit late, and unsure as to the progress, the British Government would request to be an observer for the duration of the peace negotiations due to how close the conflicts had been to the UK Mainland.

Having Already arrived, the Grand Chancelier would ride from his Hotel room to the place where the peace conference was to take place.

Equipped with Military, Intelligence, and Foreign Affairs reports on the events on the ground during the conflict, as well as the current situation between the involved parties, the Chancellor's aide would discuss their information with the Chancellor as they awaited the meeting to begin finally.

The Chancellor would shake hands with the Dutch representative, while he would also offer his hand to the Belgian representative, though he wasn't certain his offer would be taken.

The Belgian Representatives accepted the warm handshake extended unto them by their French counterparts, having slept well and enjoyed a relatively peaceful flight through Dutch air space, the mood was relaxed yet determined as the Belgians entered with the intention of securing peace and maybe the fulfillment of war aims without entertaining a wreckless and botched attempt at conquest.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Maximiliaan Theunissen took his place at the table after greeting the leaders of both delegations. "I want to thank you both for agreeing to attend these peace talks which aim to put an end to the state of conflict between the Kingdom of Belgium and the High Kingdom of France."

"Europe has seen relative peace since the end of the Second World War and Europe has prospered from that peace. It is my government's hope that we can return to a state of peace and prevent any further casualties, both military and civilian."

"I believe it would be welcome to discover each parties opening position to these peace negotiations." The Minister looked towards the French delegation, "Chancellor would you be willing to begin?"

:::::::::::

A response would be sent to the British government that the British Ambassador to the Netherlands would be welcomed to attend the summit as an observer.

The chancellor would open to a specific page of her report, before looking around the room and clearing her throat before talking. "The High Kingdom of France's primary requests are for an agreement to demilitarize our border for a certain amount of time, in order to ensure the stability and security of the region for the foreseeable future. Further, we would like an agreement between our countries regarding a non-aggression pact, which would be worded as to be enforceable by the GA's constituent courts."

The Belgian delegation listened intently as the French chancellor laid out the terms for peace between the two Kingdoms in hope of securing peace in Europe.

Foreign Minister Reensma spoke briefly

"We believe that this is a suitable means of addressing the current geopolitical situation at least for the time being. However in exchange for the demilitarization of the border, we would like to request the payment of reparations with respect to the Brussels International Airport incident wherein several innocent non combatants were coincidentally the subject of liquidation via the air."

"Thank you both for your opening statements. I believe that the best way to move forward is to discuss each issue separately, starting with demilitarisation. Mr Chancellor, would you please begin on the topic of demilitarisation of the border and inform us of the technical aspects of your proposal?"

"It essentially would be an agreement for both countries to establish, along our border, roughly 10-20 miles on either side, an agreement by which both our countries agree not to deploy or garrison military forces there, except in cases of self-defense or with the agreement of both countries."

"At present, my country is willing to abide by such conditions in order to.bring about a return to peace in Europe. We understand that the actions of the state were an unnecessary and largely unprovoked outbursts of aggression against our neighbors with whom no actual quarrel existed before hand."

"As both delegations agree to the terms of a demilitarized zone along the border, I shall add the provisions to the draft treaty which I will present at the end of the first round of negotiations. The draft can them be discussed in order to amend or finalise certain provisions."

"Moving on to the next topic, Mr Chancellor you mentioned the agreement of a non-aggression pact between the High Kingdom of France and the Kingdom of Belgium. Would you please inform us of the specific provisions of such an agreement."

"Essentially, this would simply be a contract between our two nations, similar to that of the Demilitarization of the border, which would be an agreement not to engage in military actions against each other except, theoretically, in defense of a third nation. Perhaps most importantly, I think it necessary that it be worded in such a way that, if violated, the wronged party be able to take such violations and any evidence thereof to the International Court of Justice, such that it will have more teeth than Non-aggression pacts in the past, such as those made by the Germans and Soviets prior to WWII.
