Prime Minister,

The people of the Netherlands are shocked by the events which have come upon Oslo., we are saddened by the loss of innocent lives in this violent act. I wish to announce that the Dutch stand in solidarity with their Norwegian brothers and sisters and I wish to offer our condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. I furthermore with to offer you our full support, if there is anything you require then do not hesitate to ask.

The Netherlands has doubled security to the Norwegian embassy in The Hague and the Norwegian consulate-general in Rotterdam, through the deployment of officers from the National Police.

Minister Theunissen,

Thank you for your words of support. It is times like this that make me so thankful that Norway has so many friends around the world, including the Dutch people. So far, there have been no Dutch casualties confirmed at the tower, but if there are I will be sure that we directly contact your government. Thank you for increasing security around our embassy, I imagine the ambassador of the Norwegian people in The Netherlands are very thankful for that. I wish you the best, and will do my utmost to keep you informed.
