| Dear whom it may concern, It has come to our attention that Portuguese Shipbuilders have begun an order for four Tridente-class submarines reference number #0023. As you are aware the Tridente-class submarines are based off of the Type 214 Submarine and were also built by the NKfM. The Tridente-class and its base model the Type 214 are the intellectual property of NKfM's consortium of naval ships builders. As such their production without approval from NKfM is an infringement on NKfM's intellectual property. We appreciate Portugal's business continued business and hope that we may find an amicable solution to allow for their construction. In lieu of blocking the production we would like to offer Portugal a limited domestic production right for a fee of $650,000,000.00 for four Tridente-class ships. Under this limited domestic production, four submarines may be built after which the production right would expire or may be renewed with an additional payment. Alternatively the four submarines can be built by the NKfM for $1,917,868,000.00, the price of production including a service, production, and administrative fee. We hope that one of these solutions is amenable to your government and are eager to see continued business between Portugal and the NKfM.
